HA I live in Nevada... we can still own automatic weapons
Beside I have Plan B A spring fed lake next to an abandoned mine in Northern Canada (though that might be out during an ice age
)

Want an assault rifle for your weekend in Vegas? Look no further…
toma.wordpress.com...

But that is getting way off topic...

What gets me is these crop circle threads are detracting from almost everything else.. like LRO on the Moon... possible war with Korea and Iran looming... and yet we are getting false messages from aliens making crop circles...

Deliberate distraction? Hmmmm

1850 appears to have been fairly active.
Monthly counts. I have no idea what the date coding is about

Check for a low before 1850. I believe that was the tail end of it and it started to warm up around 1850. Geez, I wish I had my book. There was even pictures of people at Niagra Falls when it was frozen.

Hmmm interesting, it doesn't go any farther back than 1850 for sunspot activity! Poop!

Unfortunately, it was in 1849 that Rudolf Wolf came up with a system for tracking sunspot numbers. Data at that time is a bit iffy, but the years prior seem to have been pretty active as well
1848 1 159.1 40.6
1848 2 111.8 33.9
1848 3 108.6 33.4
1848 4 107.1 33.2
1848 5 102.2 32.4
1848 6 129.0 36.5
1848 7 139.2 37.9
1848 8 132.6 37.0
1848 9 100.3 32.0
1848 10 132.4 37.0
1848 11 114.6 34.3
1848 12 159.5 40.7
1849 1 157.0 24.6
1849 2 131.8 39.3
1849 3 96.2 29.4
1849 4 102.5 43.8
1849 5 80.6 29.0
1849 6 81.1 34.3
1849 7 78.0 24.6
1849 8 67.7 18.8
1849 9 93.7 22.5
1849 10 71.5 30.2
1849 11 99.0 43.5
1849 12 97.0 30.1

No, I mean like Tahoma, so the columns line up.
Or better yet, html coding for tables.

Been giving this some thought and here is one for ya. In the center of our sun is a black hole and it is through black holes that extraterrestrials travel from place to place. Now the sun spots are like the top of a tornado and the tip of the funnel is at the center of the sun, coming from the black hole. These funnels open up when travelers come through, they come out of the sun spots that are paths to the surface from the center of the black hole. There are theories and videos out there that back this point of view and if correct, then something very large could be about to arrive in our solar system.

anything that big would net a portal bigger than our sun's black hole, our sun would probably make a black hole smaller than jupiter

Wow..
I missed this battle it seems.

Historical data is important and relevant, as it will assist the layman in understanding what science buries on page 17...

Someone told me that "History doesn't repeat, but it rhymes", and I think that there is beauty in the breakdown.

Also, the omnipresence of the sine wave is important also..

Lastly, I know who is boss
, and I know what you're doing.

Okeedokee fellow who as been registered for 1 month.

settle down, and mind your manners. threatening violence for what you deem unworthy is a sign of immaturity or mental instability. best not to advertise your aggressive tendancies.

more to the point, most threads have worth. that is the beauty of a forum for the people and by the people. and despite the few trolls out there, most people offer a very valuable thing... their perspective.

PS:i have found this thread to be rather informative.

I did not know that Zorgon. We have no laws. They did away with all gun laws here a couple of years ago. No permits for concealed carry here at all any more. Why bother.

I have an area the size of a fourth of the Lower 48 for a second recourse and plenty of food a shot away. Way better than those Jack Raggits in Nevada. Just kidding

You have misunderstood ATS. The point of this board is debate, research and getting to the truth. Debate without anger is the quickest way to the truth. We all have the right to post and be heard here and getting angry does not solve anything. Read what is posted, determine for yourself what is true or not true but there is no reason to get upset.

We are already in a period known as "the current ice age" which is a period of interglaciation. That means we are currently in a warming cycle between glaciation periods bit still in an ice age, nonetheless.

Of coarse, the next cooling period could begin at any time I suppose. But it is completely true that the current lulls in solar activity, sunspots, earth's electromagnetic field, and the heliosphere are all happening simultaneously. It's as if there is a linked underlying cause but that doesn't make alot of sense. It could just be a coincidence but at some point it just becomes statistically impossible for all this to happen at once without something causing it.

Whatever the cause(s) may be, what we should be concerned about is the degrading heliosphere. We have no idea what is causing it to degrade and there's nothing we can do if it disappears completely. We don't know if it even could disappear completely since we don't even know what really causes it. But there is so much we don't know, there isn't any way to rule out that possibility. And if it does fail, all life on earth will be dead. Some people might be able to survive either shielded in spacecraft, deep under the ocean or deep underground. But that's about it.

I read an article a couple months ago that basically said this..
The last time we saw the heliosphere degrade at these kinds of levels, it coincided with a mass extinction on earth. Again, It may have just been coincidence but it sure isn't reassuring to now that.

But the conversation really has calmed down (across all threads) since North American sunset, hasn't it?

I wonder how the Europeans are feeling right about now, although they have missed the most of this energy. I'm looking forward to the event that will affect both hemispheres, imagine how crazy it'll get on ATS then?

Well, I am in alaska right now and we are losing sunlight ever since the solstice earlier in June. The auroras should be getting slightly visible in the evenings. It's starting to get that dark at night.

But here it still stays light out until like 10 or 11 at night. The sun set (sort of) but it is still somewhat light out all night. During the solstice it just spins in the sky all night and day. Pretty crazy. I have to put aluminum foil up in the windows just to get some sleep.

And as for the ice age comment earlier.

I'd love to be in a cooling cycle right now. It probably wouldn't be 85 in central Alaska like it was today.

The glaciers would stop receding, we could ski and snowmachine all year!
But seriously..My air conditioners are blaring right now. As long as it's getting 80's and 90's here in Alaska in the Summer for weeks on end, it probably can't be too good for the glaciers.

Geez, getting more off topic but I have to ask.
Where did the data for the state of the heliosphere during the extinction come from?

So what keeps them from burning to vapor as they pass through the sun?

Oh and by the way it is after midnight and nothing happens so tell your alien buddies they missed the target with their prediction or at least they didnt do it well enough for any humans to interpret correctly.
