The advent of cheap flights, relaxing of border controls all over Europe and the Human Rights Act, allowing a system of mass immigration in the name of asylum, have all contributed to the 'silent invasion' of the UK and other western nations by the followers of Islam.

Anyone who believes that Islam does not view the West as the infidel nations, friends and supporters of Isreal, the mortal enemy of Allah, is a fool.

Yes? So have the hindus.

And that thing with the statues in Afghanistan is a perfect example. While I certainly don't condone the actions, it is useful to know the story behind them. Look it up if interested.

I understand that you take issue with the Abrahamic religions, but I'm sure you realise that just because you dislike them, they're not always the main perpetrators of the problem. Hinduism itself (since you brought it up as an 'opposite' to Islam) isn't exactly the beacon of religious tolerance.

PS: When did muslims in India tear down statues of Buddha?

[edit on 10-7-2009 by babloyi]

Firstly,
you're right; it was in Afghanistan where the statues of the Buddha were torn down. I was just using that as an example of some of the stuff that upsets me.

Secondly, I have no problem with the Abrahamic religions being praticed correctly. However, they are not practiced correctly, instead they are used as a method of control. It's been that way for many, many centuries now.

Yes? So have the hindus.

Please show me the source of your information. As far as the internet goes, there is only one incident where hindus have broken/descerated a place of worship. This is related to a place called Babri Masjid in India. Please look at the history of this incident which even today, the hindus consider as a blemish on their theories of peace and tolernace. Babri Masjid was built by Babar -a muslim invader, after destroying a hindu temple dedicated to the birthplace of the most revered hindu god Rama. All the religeous and historical sources agree that the place in question was actually what it is believed to be. Babar building a mosque was an act of agression and barbarianism which islamic invaders are famous for. This is equivalent to someone attacking mecca, destroying kabba and building their own place of worship! Will the muslims accept it? Hindus did !!! They accepted this horrible act for centuries and never resorted to violence. It was only when the issue got dragged on for too long ( many centuries) did the peaceful hindus took to streets and demolished the Babri Masjid. You cannot equate this act by dissatisfied, unarmed civilians to the planned acts of terrorist muslims and invaders of the past. I don't think it's fair on your part to try and paint hindus and muslims with the same brush.

The OP and many others around the world probably started to fear Muslims in general, because like you said, "about everyone does". The same can not really be said about any other religion....... ok, maybe zionists, jews, but they are doing that more underground and much less noticeable than these Muslims extremists, and maybe they are the real masters of those fundamentalist Muslim organization
....oh, and maybe those Christians who were sending all those "missionaries" all over the globe, but they are at least not doing that openly anymore nowadays, at least not so openly anymore......

It is just human for the average people to consider the Islam a threat regardless how many hundreds of millions of those Muslims are peace loving and will never in their lifetime hurt someone else. Simply because of all those openly terror organization in the name of Muslim, and how masses of Muslims seemingly can be so easily provoked and instigated to commit mass unrest and riots. The term Jihad is so oftenly abused in the thousands of years of history, that people in general hearing this Islamic Jihad immediately associate it with terror, war, killings of non-Muslims.....

It is this little place (which you brought up yourself) called Kashmir. Another example would be a little ol' place called Gujrat. This is just from a casual google.

I wasn't necessarily talking about the demolition of a holy place, but there are numerous examples of that too.

This adamant claim (when no one had claimed otherwise) made me look it up, and I'm sorry, but no, "All the religeous and historical sources" do not agree on this (and I'm talking about Hindu sources).

But it is a fact. I'm sorry, I realise that (according to your previous post,) you have a personal bias in this, and I don't blame you for that, but you're painting all muslims with the same brush, claiming that the muslims are "violent, barbaric, aggressive, evil", while all hindus are "peaceful, tolerant, patient, etc", is a bit naive.

When/where the Muslims were in power, there were some rulers who oppressed hindus. When/where the Hindus were in power, there were some rulers who oppressed muslims.

I'm sorry for this off-topic branch of this thread, feel free to bring it back to the original topic.

OP:

Babloyi has hit the nail on the head. We are all human, and therefore flawed individuals. There are horrible Muslims in this world, just as there are horrible people of every other religious persuasion.

To simplify issues, and grossly generalise, by saying things like "oh, Muslims are the problem" is to demonstrate nothing more than your own myopic viewpoint, and simplistic reasoning.

I don't expect this to have any impact on you, though. Carry on attempting to freak people out.

I'm currently living in Australia, and recently we've had a large influx of British immigrants. When I ask them why they decided to move to Australia most of them say it's to "get away from all the Muslims". Apparently the suburbs they grew up in are slowly been over run by Muslims, and a lot of buildings being demolished and replaced by mosques.

Could you imagine the inverse happening? 10's of millions of Christians moving to Saudi Arabia erecting 1000's of Christian churches. With a birthrate of 10 per family, slowly out populating Arabs. Also, building 1000's of Christian schools. Setting up Christian law, competing with Sharia law.

Somehow I think the words "Allahu Akbar" would be screamed out a few times. Of course this wouldn't be considered racism, just a bunch of people trying to defend their homeland. It's only racism if white people do it.

I think were about to see history repeat itself again. The Muslims invaded into Europe were establishing a presence there and were thrown out. Lets hope this time it doesn't require another battle of tours and round 2 the the battle of tripoli known to every marine. Funny it always starts the same way history can be amazing if you take the time to look at it.

Oh and i believe were just starting to see the back lash in the UK. I have some friends there and trust me right now alot of brits are grumbling under there breath but i have a feeling this will only last so long.

That's not the inverse of anything that is happening in real life, dude.

Kudos for having a vivid imagination, though.

Roark,I have observed through your post that you refute every logic and every thought very casually as if you really have the facts to refute our claims/imagination/perceptions. Can you please let me know why you are so confident about the goodness of muslims? It will be a very good thing for this entire discussion.

I would urge you very strongly to read this articleMuslims in Britain written by a muslim scholar on the issues faced by muslims in UK.You will also learna lot about their history in Britain. This also indicates or hints towards the 'psychological profile' I was mentioning earlier.

It is a mistake to think that all Hindus (and Sikhs) are peaceloving.

These factions oppose eachother with violence, gangs fighting with swords, occasional beheadings and other extreme injuries, in the UK. These activities are highly organised and carried out late at night in secret locations. I've no idea if this also happens elsewhere in the world.

Do you remember news reports from the 1980's when the Shah of Iran was deposed and replaced with Khomeni?

The burning of the Stars and Stripes and Union Jack along with effigies of our political leaders?

You think fear of radical muslim extremism is not justified?

You think radical islam does view the west as satanic and therefore the mortal enemy of their god?

You think the west has nothing to fear from radical islam?

I know that and I'am not suggesting an absolute scenario here. But you have to look at the underlying reason for the acts of violence. Hindus and Shikhs went through lot of bloodbath after the assasination of Indira Gandhi, the prime minister of India. It was not a religious violence. And what percent of the bloodbath is attributable to Islam vs. Hinduism ,Sikhism or any other religion in modern times?

From what I've heard from somebody I know who lives in England, there have been problems with the Sharia law thing with domestic abuse.

Sharia law can handle civil matters only, but when women are abused, they are commonly convinced by their church and community to drop any charges and let the case fall into a civil matter where it is (not really) dealt with by the Sharia courts.

Having a religious sect being given their own court system doesn't seem to me like the most intelligent of ideas. England bends over backwards not to offend anyone. I am not racist by any means, but you aren't allowed to make racist comments there without getting in trouble.

England is like a single mom scared to give discipline to her children and keep them in line, and is going to end up with some out of control messed up children running the show by the time things are done with.

All of the sudden, the separation of church and state don't sound so bad

You continue to conveniently ignore the fact that Kashmir is in India. To me, you sound like an apologist for the Islamic faith. There is not any apology that you could ever make for their stringent religion to convince me that they are representing the TRUE God...

Secondly, if you look at what has happened to Europe since the influx of Muslim immigrants on that continent, you will realize that they are trying to make Europe conform to their ways.

Immigrants are supposed to conform to the ways of the land that they immigrate to, not the other way around. America is facing much of the same problem with the hispanics.

I'm not ignoring that fact at all. What bearing does it have where Kashmir is? The muslims are/were residents there. As they are all over India. And have been for over 1000 years.

Read the post you responded to again, dude. He was talking about Muslims in general. You are talking about radical Islam.

This is an important distinction. One that fearmongers seem to conveniently ignore...

I say it's all fine if the Muslim population grows in Europe. As long as they don't bring along the evil hatred of their murderous ancestors. I mean if they murder people for not converting to Islam. That's what is happening in the middle eastern countries right now. Christianity was just as bad centuries ago. The Spaniards did it to the Mesoamericans.

It's time for the world to drop their savage ways!!!!
New World Order, we await your arrival!
