This happens me the whole time with 22.22.
don't worry, your brain is working perfectly.

Its human nature to see and remember patterns.
You see it more so as its weird to see 11.11 or 22.22 on a clock
it sticks in your mind

I have a similar situation in my life, in my case i see the numbers 1234 everywhere. Clocks, counters, you name it. Its our brians coping with stress subconsciously, you might have a slight case of obsesive compulsive disorder, don't worry everyone does. It just works its way out in different ways in each of us. Your mind's ability to focus your attention on the 11:11 consistantly is it's way of finding order in chaos. I would say you need to spend some more alone time and find moments of rest. You'll probably find that this tendency comes and goes. Not much to worry about though.

Ok so, your post reminded me of this I wrote in an earlier thread:

Since I have started meditating (don't do it as much as I should) I have been noticing time-synchs. Eg, 1:11, 2:22 etc
I talk about this with a friend and we can't decide whether it's coincidence or not. I mean, I must look at a clock around 200 times a day (maybe an exaggeration?) and I understand that now I'm aware of the 'synchs' I will see them/remember them more. However I don't purposely look for them. I swear it happens daily, I see quite a few synchs, today I have only seen 2;22 and 3:33 but some days it's weird. Take last thursday... I saw 10:10, 11:11, 12:12, 1:11... came home for some work stuff, had a chat with my friend about what I saw then went back out to work.... I then saw 3:33 and 4:44.

When I was little I always seemed to wake up at 2:22 or 2:44 in the night.... oh shizzle... just remembered this morning I awoke at 09:09 (phone clock).

There's some stuff online about it, just Google "keep seeing same numbers".. believ it's referred to as numerology.

Source

I finished reading the posts here then went to a link someone sent me.... look at the time it was published.....here .... 11:11.

Too much.

No its not the same thing.
There was no reason to notice it the first place, no reason to think it was special in anyway. I just kept noticing it everywhere well beyond normality.
I know what you mean when you say something like buying a new car and then noticing everyone else driving the same car. Its not like that.
And whats more I guarantee that everyone else who also notices it would agree with me on that one.

By the way... have any of you guys ever heard of Rick Clay?
Here is a link www.youtube.com...
Anyway he is dead now but he was one enlightened brother.
In this clip he talks about 1111

Thanks to all that have offered insight.

It is a very strange to say the least. Obviously I do look at a clock more than twice a day, seeing all different combinations of time. But to constantly see 11:11 everyday. What are the odds?

But I do think the subconcious thingy has a part in it. If not it does now.

you did say that you look at the clock a lot during the day
you seem to get joy out of noticing the "synchs" so your brain is subconsciousely ticking the seconds away queueing you up for your next "hit" when you look at the clock.

the human body is a strange thing

This is a good explaination, I can relate to this.
Can't believe I didn't consider the conditioning effects of what happens when I see them.

Is it? Or is there some significance to this particular number sequence?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

There is an intriguing connection between 11:11 and the end of the ancient Mayan calendar on Dec. 21, 2012. Check out my blog article:

I have been experiencing the same thing for about a year and a half now. I made a comment on this the other day on here on a different thread. It's kind of a running joke around my house now. It happens to me so often every day! I even have this number come up with buying things and the change has 11 in it. It slowed down for a while last year and now it is back with a vengence. I heard it is the universe talking a picture of your thoughts. Whatever that is suppose to mean? Now I just smile when this happens and assume it is some kind of divine message!

HA! This is all too funny! Look at the time that was stamped with my post above! Like I said it is back with a vengence!

A woman i was dating 2 years ago, had this problem. EVERY night, literally shed look at the clock and see 11 11. She was asking me about it, cause i was into paranormal stuff..i had no answer.
As for me, i always seem to lookat the clock at 3 15 am...the witches hour

Both my wife and I have the whole xx:11 thing going on with clocks and time, but it's been happening with us for nearly a decade now. It has become so ingrained with us at this point that we just tell each other the time, like "It's 5:11", when one or the other happens to notice it, and we get a little kick out of it.

I guess I used to think that it was rather odd, but now it's almost like a game.

This has got me wondering.

I read a thread here about the significance seeing number patterns and since then I always seem to look at the clock when it is precisely on our showing 11:11. Day or night I can't miss it. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now.

Just now I looked at my system tray and sure enough 11:11. That is why I am typing this now.

Yesterday was the strangest for me. I was in my kitchen making a drink and my microwave, oven and radio all displayed 11:11. Never are these clocks at the same time. I almost had a shiver go down my spine but I resisted it and told myself it's just a coincidence.

Is it? Or is there some significance to this particular number sequence?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Very odd, the other day I tweeted this: Woke up at 11:11, hmm..

I had just woken up and turned on the laptop to check the time, and it was 11:11, I was curious in the back of my head but hey, just a coincidence right? :p

Kinda odd but I don't know what to think of it.

yeah,

i've been noticing stuff like this for a really long time. since a teen.

i used to get dollar bills with 666 on them all the time.

i recently emailed a friend, this snippet.

"don know whaz goin on with all the coincidences
mind playin tricks i guess
i don't think i missed a single 1.11 11.11 or 1.33 666 or 66% on odometer, gps, phone, battery life, clock, road sign or anything else. "

I think it's related to perception or autosuggestion. your brain is flooded with perceptions from all of your senses. most periphery is disregarded, but what your conscious state regards as important. do you remember every car you passed today? all the red cars?

your subconscious knows exactly what time it is and cues you to look at the clock, because your conscious mind has decided that this is important info. it's like waking up without an alarm clock at exactly the right time. if you tell yourself to do this before you go to sleep, you can wake up at exactly the right time.

Start paying attention to the time you see other times. I see 11:11 all the time, but I see 11:10 and 11:12 just as much. It's just a matter of the mental note being made due to the same number over and over.

Funny enough, it was that so many people were seeing it that I came to dismiss the whole notion. I kept seeing things like "oh it means you are awake, or it's telling you to awake" etc. And then when I read the things the people actually believe and such, that pretty much confirmed to me that it's only significance is that which we put on it. And if it's telling them to wake up, then why haven't people really?

I personally think it's superficial nonsense. I realize it's new to some people, I thought something special behind it at first as well, so I understand. But I've known about it for atleast 2 years, so over time you come to realize it for what it is - just start making notes of everytime it's not 11:11 and you will see why.

Actually, I got all my answers in about a month total, but that's not what this topic is about. I don't really look for answers anymore, I look for new questions.

All I am saying is that if you look at the number of times you look at a clock, vs the number times you see 11:11, then you will start to notice that you actually only see 11:11 a small % of the time, and that it becomes significant due to you remembering it saying that, rather than all the other times.

And even if we assume people are seeing it for a specific reason, then what reason? Is this supposed to be how "higher powers" communicate? By making you notice 11:11? Ok, so lets assume it's a warning for a date. Ok, how is it specific enough to have any real value?

Sorry, but part of finding truth involves being able to recognize that which is not true, or is not significant. If you want to believe it, then be my guest. It's not like me posting my opinion about the topic is stopping you from doing that. Otherwise, you are just upset because I don't agree with you, and in such a case my only response would be to tell you where to stick it.

Yesterday I was playing tennis. We stopped for a water break. I asked my friend what time it was.

He said, "11: 11."

Didn't think much of it UNTIL THIS THREAD CAME UP!

Omg... Gotta recall all the previous times these numbers came up before!
