It hurts me when when those young kids call our women whores, it also hurts me when those women are not allowed to leave their houses. If only covered in burqa's.
respect.
Well I respect that opinion, but if that's what you meant to say, "spoil our women" was an exceptionally poor choice of words.
In my neighbourhood, there are no burqa wearing women. Various styles of trad muslim, usually a headscarf, but it really is only an extreme sect who use the burqa.
'Whore calling' - I get irritated when chav kids call me a pikey, hey ho I survive.

It is about high time, women are treated equally the same as males. Call me a feminist all you want. Women have been demonised, underpaid, discriminated against for far too long. It is about hightime us females took back the power and forced our rights on those who think they are better than us. Can you imagine the out cry if we went out on the streets demanding the end to discrimination, weither it be in religion, weither it be about race, weither it be about employment discrimination.
Exactly right! If the sistren were equally empowered, the whole lot of us would have more power. Instead we're divided & ruled.
You never know, a revivalised feminist movement might well help get those muslim women who are oppressed out from under their veils.

You could close your eyes & throw darts @a wallplan calendar & pretty much whatever days you hit, the IRA would have killed someone. If people would have known then that years later the govt would have lifted restrictions on political representation by Sinn Fein & that prisoners would get early release, people would have gone mental... Oh hang on, they did. No negotiation with terrorists!
& yet here we are. The police can concentrate on the purely criminal elements of Ulster paramilitary gangs & whilst things aren't solved, they're a lot better than they were.
Hardly any UK muslims support extremism or terrorism, but if we single them out for unfair treatment under official law, rather than the usual low level police discrimination, then pretty soon a lot of previously moderate muslims will become radicalised. Given that we have recent history to learn from, that would be a far bigger disgrace...

I dont understand what you were saying to me in your "question of faith" post, mate?
You know that right from the beginning I've said I disagree with religion being used in any legal context, but that we can't ban it because
A) they'd do it anyway &
B) doing so would drive a wedge even deeper between us.
I'm all for dialogue.

the law of the uk tries to do this.. we can not have 12 century laws for the 21st century

But there my friend is the contradiction, our 'modern' laws which allow a hate based, repressive, religion to use it's 6th Century laws to govern every aspect of people's lives contrary to our alleged principle of individual freedom and which would deny you the very freedom that you grant it.

i agree but the system is for freedom of faith my friend ...we do not stop people running about half naked at stone henge ?

I know that's not quite the same thing but...we have to have in place laws that effect everyone no matter what faith.. and we do

But i think education is the key here... i think better oversight of our faith based schools...

they all in some way or another spread hate against each other...

so i agree with you there

If your not from that part of the community it wont apply to you. Stop spreading fear about Muslims

As much as I hate Christianity - Islam is a militant violent, oppressive and on the whole repulsive religion - to my logical and rational mind - I have the right - as a committed atheist - to express my loathe and disdain for this religion as all others - repugnant.

My Friend it's a choice to be become a Christian it's a Birthright to be Jewish
( people are born into a Jewish Family).
To Follow Islam is now coming ( at Great Speed) at Sword Point, Conversion upon the threat of the end of your life.
What Decision would you make?
As for me a Born-Again Christian for more than 25 Years would not make the conversion to Islam at point of death (to deny my Saviour, LORD Jesus Christ- Yeshua Ha Massiach) and would personally require LORD GOD to follow up with appropriate actions concerning my Martyrdom and those who would stand up for what is right overall.

I think your comment is founded on semantics. Most people consider Catholics and various protestant churches Christian but as a born again, you don't.

There is also such a thing as a Christian family with Christian children being born in those families.

Would not an AK47 be the obvious choice of weapon? You suggest a threatening Muslim would be using a sword because you are playing on an old fashioned movie stereotype.

Muslims believe there is no compulsion in faith, however, as a born again you rely on incitement, baiting and untruths to advance your cause.

Now your are preaching on the back of having abused another faith. What is most fascinating is that you call Jesus Christ in Hebrew, Yeshua Ha Massiach. Is your hostility of Islam based on the founding of the zionist state and the hope of a foretold cataclysm. Are you a rational person?

As for your fantasy of "Martyrdom" at the sword of a Muslim, that's just bizarre and even delusional.

You say "LORD GOD to follow up with appropriate actions concerning my Martyrdom". Are you already dead and speaking to us from the grave?

I suspect most of the 1.6 billion Muslims on this planet don't really care who you are least of all even consider offering the option of either being 'putting you to the sword' or converting you. What use is an unwilling believer?

That struck me as signs of aggressive people reacting illegally to perceived criticism, which would be illegal under shari'ah also. From the end of the same article:

Is this what will happen when Islam takes over the United States?
canadafreepress.com...

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.
Yeah, because we can all see that happening, cant we?
Could this article be just like the 1 from the OP?

This article in Dearborn is about an event on private property and is a festival celebrating the heritage of Arabs. As you know there Arab Muslims, Arab Christians and Arab Jews in the US but the celebration is Arabness.

While this is going on up turn up bug eyed born agains with video cameras shoving it in people's faces asking them about terrorism, their brand of made up Christianity and annoy the hell out of people. They then take this annoyance and post it on the internet and claim that their God given American right to interrogate Arabs is being thwarted.

The festival goers are private citizens going about their business and these bigots are setting upon them over issues that has no bearing on the people they ambush. They are not elected officials, activists or on a demonstration but Arabs and others having an enjoyable day out with their family.

islamic law in the UK?????
Supposedly we are a Christian country, not you can tell by many of the animals that live here.

islamic law has no place in the UK, just as I couldn't claim 'Christian law' in Iran or Saudi.

The law of the land is meant to be set up by the democratically elected government, by the people. I was never asked whether I wanted to support sharia law. I don't. If you want sharia law to govern your life, then go to a country which already has sharia law in place, rather than infiltrating an existing system.

In saudi arabia I might be crucified for evangelising before muslims, which is a perfectly legal passtime in the UK.

Thin end of the wedge. Global dominance by the sword is coming
