What confuses me about this issue is that even if he was born in Nigeria, his mother is American which makes him an American Citizen regardless of where he was born. Can someone explain why this would be otherwise?

#1 - His Allegiance. God forbid, he'd be placed in the position of having to choose between the two countries. Which side will it be?

Eeny Meeny, Miney Moe, which one will I make my foe? Mom's side of the family, or Dad's? (Many of us relate very well to this one!) Who gives the best gifts at holidays and birthdays? Pick one, only ONE.
Now, is he willing to kill for that choice? Better, is he willing to die for this choice?

Since anything's possible, and relationships are subjective, wouldn't it make better sense to 'nip it in the butt' and not elect someone to office who may have to choose sides. (BTW, many of you may be confused by this whole 'naturalization thing' and may still question its relevance. That's understandable, given this is still a new concept for most; as the U.S. is the first Empire to be elected, instead of Royal legacy, or appointment.

Election is based on trust. Trust is either given, by those who may know no better, or earned by those who do. Transparency creates trust.

#2 - His Honesty. Yeah yeah, I know! ALL politicians LIE! Whatever. Usually they get out of the starting gate first! Once a lie is discovered, uncovered, proven a LIE, then everything from that point forward is in question.

So....given that we are talking about his BIRTH certificate....


#3 - Most importantly: WHY? What is the big deal with the birth certificate, college transcripts, work records? WTF? Either this is one big joke on all of us, ALL OF US! Or, he is deliberately keeping his records sealed for a much sinister reason. What can be sooooo sinister to completely close, lock, seal, concrete, sauder with molten steal....other than the Arc of the Covenant? Hmmm, maybe he IS THE MESSIAH!

BTW, if his COB was actually a LEGITIMATE Certificate of Birth (not to be mistaken for a BIRTH CERTIFICATE), then why did he remove it from his personal campaign website, so quickly? hmmm?

Especially, since he so proudly displayed it. Right there on the Home page (so big, so proud, so full of life....gleaming for all the world to see), only to hurry up and remove it... IMMEDIATELY, when it's authenticity was questioned?

Oh, I forgot..."Privacy Issues", right? Privacy my aye double ess! What privacy does he have, other than his BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND COLLEGE DOCS? I mean, his home is the most open and visible house in the history of the world, for crimeny sake! In fact, I think it's even more viewed now, since he's made the entire Executive Branch a Reality TV show!

You are right about two things - Obama is an abomination and he's standing in a place where he shouldn't be. But I think this passage refers to something mroe religious. Something like someone political/religious being worshipped in the temple in Israel.

If it's rebuilt and Obama goes there and is adored ... then you'll have something.

I did do some more digging. Here are two, yes two separate newspapers from the state of Hawaii, both dated August 4th, 1961. They both record the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. Barack H. Obama, who lived on 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy.

WorldNetDaily, the self-described conservative news source which had originally circulated rumors that the birth certificate was fake, even went back and did an article claiming the certificate to be authentic.

A separate WND investigation into Obama's birth certificate utilizing forgery experts also found the document to be authentic. The investigation also revealed methods used by some of the bloggers to determine the document was fake involved forgeries, in that a few bloggers added text and images to the certificate scan that weren't originally there.

There you have it. Obama was most assuredly born in Hawaii, USA, on August 4, 1961. If you have evidence to claim the contrary, that doesn't come from a blog or Youtube, feel free to present it. I would be most interested, I assure you.

Until people move on from the 'Kenyan myth', it will be fairly hard to take criticism of Obama seriously. And as I'm sure you are well aware, there is much to criticize about the 44th POTUS.

It already has been handled. The people who uphold these theories are never going to accept any evidence he presents, and its mostly due to a widespread internet mythos surrounding the issue.

There are people who claim the certificate he has presented is a forgery. This has been debunked numerous times. See the links in my previous post.

There is a myth that he is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to 'lock up' his private records. This is false, the entire rumor is based on his campaign lawyer's reimbursement and a few exaggerated WorldNetDaily stories.

There are still people who think because his step-father enrolled him in elementary school under his own name (Soetoro) instead of Obama's birth name (Obama), that there is solid proof he has led double lives, even though this occurred when he was 7 years old at the time. That's right folks, Obama's step dad's last name was Soetoro! I guess that's solid proof he was leading a secret double life as a Muslim back when he was learning how to write in cursive.

This is what really aggravates me. We pride ourselves as deniers of ignorance, yet so many on this board are too ignorant to look up a few simple facts about the president's life before they rush to assume such things.

Before anyone calls me an 'obamatron', or says I'm worshiping the 'obamessiah', please note my post history and my relatively critical stance on our sitting president. There are many things about him that don't sit right with me. His citizenship, or his use of his step-father's name during his childhood, don't exactly rank up there. They're non-issues, being thrown around by those who are either too partisan, too ignorant, too lazy, or some combination of the above to actually look up the facts.

The Constitution says you must be a natural born citizen to be eligible to be President. If Obama was born in Kenya he is ineligible regardless of his mothers status.

Also, you should note that any discussion of this is moot, because as I have demonstrated in my previous posts, it has been proven well beyond a shadow of a doubt that Barack Obama was in fact born in Hawaii in 1961, after it was admitted to the Union. Thus, he is a citizen by birthright not only due to the fact that his mother was a citizen, but also due to the fact that he was born on U.S. soil.

Telling the truth is like planting seeds, many of the seeds fall on the pavement, and the sparrows eat them.
