The resolution is really poor, but the one with the pentagon I think I can make out Magic 12 maybe?

I have to say I'm incredibly skeptical where it comes to this, not one of my usual qualities but this just really stinks, it seems like fear mongering at its very strongest or some viral marketing for what I can imagine being a low budget film. I can't see any big film producers or companies standing behind such marketing.

The big question is still why the hell is it on the Times website and why do they have no further information about something published on their own site... cos it's bull

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but if you select the entire page you see this hidden text which is hidden because it's the same colour as the background.

"Code Corrupted . Insert fresh Copy"

Doubt it means anything but thought I would mention it anyway.

Definitely a viral marketing campaign of some sort. I remember looking at the comic strip slide show earlier this year, and thinking "Gee, I bet this is going to lead up to some new TV programming."

I also like how the website magically changes during business hours of 9 to 5.

And also, it changes when there is heavy discussion about it on the internets.

Theres also a very obvious yet curious thing to bear in mind here... If it's Blackjack why is the website JackBlack ? - unless the reversal is hinting at something... if anyone is following me on this ?

Someone can print out the bar code, and scan it/decode it via a web cam here:
www.gurulib.com...

OR

renaun.com...

And now the website is down.

I guess it couldn't handle traffic from ATS

It's been doing that all day. just keep refreshing, it'll come back

I've tried several barcode readers, and non of them can actually find a barcode in the image... maybe we are looking at it wrong? perhaps there is a binary hidden within it =/

I just read an interesting post from an Internet user on a different site:

Re: operation blackjack another hidden message Quote

ok, I might be reaching a little here, but the title of the site is Teardropk. The letter "k" is used in baseball for strikeout. On the countdown clock, it seems nobody can agree what the number 1 stands for. Maybe it means this is the first strike for teardrop.

That other site suggests there was an earlier barcode that was decoded to 'blackjackisgo'

Curiouser and curiouser

In terms of the glasseye thing and the strange reference of Shakespeare characters, i found this:

Get thee glass eyes;
And, like a scurvy politician, seem
To see the things thou dost not

(King Lear, Act IV, Scene 6)

Make of that what you will.....

I thought that was very observant of that other site's poster. blackjackisgo was quite interesting. And given the fact there were two timers, one with a 1 and the other with a 2, could indicate a Phase 1 countdown and phase 2 countdown.

This stuff is fun to me, but if it was really to give us advance notice...I wouldn't think it would be as noticeable and accessible to so many people. I would assume their advance notification would be so subliminal, we'd be kicking ourselves in the butts for not "seeing the message" earlier in a song/movie/book/article etc.

That new site also seems to block any urls to ATS, however someone else seems to have posted our thread on their thread and claiming to decode the second bar code.

Some kind of online game about to launch?

okay, call me sad but I decided to try and decode the strange 'barcode' to binary (sort of) by counting how many black segments (1's) and white segments (0's)

I got:

10000100 11011110 11011111 11100001 01011110 00010010 00101010 11111111 10010111 10000000 01001111 11111010 10101110 11000010 00010001 11111000 01011010 00010000 11101010 10111111 11100101 11100000 01110011 10000011 10101010 10100000 00001100 01111000 00010110 00000000 10101010 00100111 01110101 11111000 01110011 10011101 11001010 10100000 00001100 01100000 00001011 00011100 01011101 10011110

It's probably wrong

I've got to ask - what is up with the counter now? I did have 1 year, 4 days, and so many hours. That was pretty obvious. Now it's got the barcode, and a top counter that says 20-58 (and counting). The bottom counter says 02-084-20-03-55 (and counting). What's up with this?
My guess is that this is the countdown to the 2nd attack. Any ideas?
Any luck with the barcode?

that site is blocked at my work as being "entertainment."

Interesting, since I can get on here.

I'd have to agree with the other board that the 1st two numbers on the countdown are phases.

This thing has got me so hyped up, I'm late for work. Gosh. I'll stay updated

Let's see if I can throw a little fuel on this flame.

If you do a search online, Michelle Obama has been called "Lady Macbeth" and Barack Obama has been called/compared to "Othello"
