No no, after 14 days, or once you've begun to grow accustomed to the stimulous. I was merely pointing out that in terms of completely integrating it, such that it won't effect you very much any more, that that process will take a long time, at the end of which, one of the benefits is that you will have what's called "whole brain functioning" and a great deal more communication and neural pathways between your left and right hemispheres, as well as an opened and flowing Nadi channel network. At some point, I suspect you might even begin to develop healing powers, where you could say touch someone on the forehead who suffers from mirgraines and cure them that kind of thing, although other types of synchronistic occurances and even miraculous events are possible as you become increasingly more one with source and flow. Around every bend, or past each threshold or integrative bifurcation, new discoveries await.

That's really wild! I've read that people who have OBE's experience a shaking just before having their OBE. Just goes to show how powerful this thing is. miss_silver did an amazing job.

Another possibility, is your bed itself started vibrating. I was once sitting on a bench listening to Holosync (same diff) and noticed at one point that the bench itself began to vibrate, I put my hand on it and I could feel the vibration in the bench.

Just wait 'til you start using it with the other one, Compassion Meditation. Then I'd like to hear about your subsequent outward experience of your day and the world in general.

---------------------------------------------------------

For those who are interested, and would like to better understand the integrative evolutionary process of increasing conscious awareness I keep referring to, I highly recommend the book "Thresholds of the Mind" by Bill Harris.

www.amazon.com...

Another aspect of this, and perhaps one the reasons it feels so good, and can give the day to day outwardly percieved world a more vibrant and scintillating joyful attractiveness (it's hard to describe in words), involves the activation of the pineal gland and the release of '___', the "spirit molecule".

The Biology of the Inner Light
cacaoist.blog.com...

The Spirit Molecule, by Rick Strassman
www.rickstrassman.com...

I suggest people start cruising around the web and youtube researching these things. There's just a ton of information available now, and it's nice to know what's presently known, about meditation, brainwave entrainment, the pineal gland, etc. etc.

ie: Found this Youtube series based on Strassman's work

'___' The Spirit Molecule Documentary, part 1 of 5 (VERY interesting)
www.youtube.com...

The indication that the soul may enter the body via the gateway of the pineal gland at the 49th day of gestation, would suggest, as far as I'm concerned, that abortion should not be an available option beyond the 45th day after conception, but only prior to that time.. (what a disappointment it would be to select and enter the body for incarnation, only to be terminated shortly thereafter!).

I realize I said I was going to stop posting for the most part, but I just can't help myself from trying to be as helpful as humanly possible. I'm sure you'll forgive me!

Question: Must you physically go to the Institute and take a seminar, to access the "Gateway Series" and Hemisync?

I've noticed how Centerpointe and Holosync is in many ways, a copy cat business model of The Monroe Institute and Hemisync, with the exception that, aside from the occasional seminar you can choose to attend, it's all done at home, with the information exchange occurring exclusively via direct mail and email.

Just curious.

Also of note is that The Monroe Institute is more directed towards people having the OBE, or so it appears.

P.S. That is VERY interesting, about the Tibetan Monks sitting between the bells. I've certainly thought about the chant as a Theta Brainwave inducer. Very intriguing, and so now that we have electricity and this technology, why not make use of it? There's this idea or notion that unless you can achieve these states without any external stimulous, it's not meditation, when the history of meditation reveals that aids were employed as points of leverage to get to the desired state of mind, and harmonic resonant frequency.

[edit on 18-6-2009 by OmegaPoint]

1) I have never been to the Institute, other than to view the grounds from an ajoining mountain top

2) 90% of of what Monroe offers is available for at home use. Until a few years ago, that would be everything up to Focus 21, now they have the focus 21 tapes as the 7th set of the Gateway Series...

3) re information exchange, there are chatboards for monroe users, though I have never been involved with them.

Due to my previous unfortunate experiences, I was very leery of any mental or mind or spiritual 'tech'... I was so jaundiced that I refused to read anything by monroe, as I am familiar with subtle hypnosis techniques, and I did not want any possible suggestions to taint what I experienced. I wanted to know that what I saw was mine....After doing the Gateway Series for years, i finally read a couple of Monroe's books, and it was a pleasure to read.. as I did I would say, hey *I* went THERE!. yes I saw THAT too!! - had I read any Monroe beforehand I could have written off those explorations as merely "suggestion"..

4) Re more directed towards OBE, - no, not at all, example, out of the first 49 tapes in the series...perhaps only 3 are related to making OBE's easier

5) re your PS - In my opinion, Doing it the old way takes an order of magnitude LONGER than doing it the new way. And I do like your tape, my only concern is that the users getting into this should not forget to make proper preparations for safety sake, as is done by Monroe in the beginnings of each tape..until they become a habit one needs not place attention upon because not every 'spirit' has your best interests in mind. And because of the years of expereince, I consider the guys who craft Monroe's stuff to be the most sublime..

Intruiging factoid
I read somewhere that the Pineal structure has rods and cones (Like your eyeball uses to see with) facing the interior which is filled with a semiconducting gel.

I've been having trouble getting to sleep all my life but after listening to this beautiful peace of work I sleep like a baby. Last night i even had a lucid dream!

Thanks Thanks Thanks a lot to the people who created this!

One little but...

Anybody noticed the "clicks" at around the 12:01, 22:13, 39:09, 43:59, 49:35 and 54:45 mark? Well, I did and it was like somebody hit me with a brick to the head. Quite off-setting when in deep meditation.

So I took the liberty of fixing this for you guys and uploading it to zShare: www.zshare.net...

I only removed the "clicks", nothing more.

Hope you guys appreciate it, enjoy!

Good stuff. I'll try to get around to using this. I have used Monroe tapes/cds before. I had great sleeps at times using their delta beats.

Its hard to measure any effectiveness with this - for me at least - because my moods and mindset can change from day to day for no apparent reason and with no binaural beats.

I suppose one would have to give it some time and look back - hindsight - to notice a consistent and real change in one's mindset.

Can I make a suggestion? Over and above using it to fall asleep at night, whenever possible, listen to it when sitting upright, and remaining fully conscious throughout, sit for 15 afterwards, then do the half hour Compassion and sit for 15. It still works when you fall asleep with it when laying down, but it's just not the same, not nearly as powerful. One other tip (and I get all this info from my Centerpointe program info) is to try to fall asleep at night laying on your back with arms along your sides and though you may roll to your side while falling asleep, try to make your final position flat on your back with your head straight forward. This aids in the left right brain integration from the stimulous, and is also more likely to help you have lucid dreams. There are some good youtube videos out there for Lucid Dream induction techniques. Why lucid dream? That's another excercise in making the unconscious conscious. It's another powerful way to dramatically increase consciousness awareness at all times.

----------------

Also, the whole process of merging consciousness with unconsciousness, and making the unconscious conscious, aside from the longgg list of health benefits, including mental health and overall well being, will, from what I've been studying lately, aid you in your final journey upon death at the end of this life. With that aim in mind, I'm planning on ordering and studing the Tibetan Book of the Dead, and the Tibetan monks were also very much into inducing the Lucid Dream state as much as possible.

It should be noted that the delta brainwave state, the state of dreamless sleep, when the body undergoes the most regeneration, is the state of being closest to death. Strong and extremely deep and powerful meditation therefore, is a type of mini-death and resurrection, as is sleep itself.

This video is worth viewing imo and may contain some valid pointers in this regard. I'm beginning to think that the Egyptians were not just superstitious mummy freaks, but were heavily involved in a type of Jungian archetypal afterlife technology which was of a highly ingenious symbolic nature.

Where they may have missed the mark, may have been in failing to recognize that the "great work" must be performed during life in preparation for the final transition, although the symbolic nature of what they went through at the death of the king would have impacted the living with it's symbolism, at least for the initiated.

We are equally grateful to YOU dear friend, for the opportunity to contribute to you and your well being. Please pay it forward..wherever possible, in whatever way however big or small. This project was launched on the ideal of doing something to help make the world a better place for one and all in whatever way, however big or small.

--------------------

For those who may have the experience, after using this daily for a while, of feeling just a little "spun" during the day, as if there's some tiny nagging pressure, or like you're dealing with some niggling unresolved issue, and through resistence, are surfacing feelings which may be slightly uncomfortable, be aware that this is normal and that it passes, especially after a good night's sleep.

What I've found helpful when this starts to happen, is to first recognize that it's part of the evolutionary growth process and will soon pass, and to offer it no resistence, and to simply observe whatever's happening without making it wrong in any way at all and allowing whatever happens to be "ok".

And singing out loud, some sort of personal mantra of some kind, in a melodic way seems to immediately integrate whatever it is that's surfacing, and restore harmony and balance, and clarity of mind. A meaningful harmony, sung aloud - try it, you'll like it.

For me, being a Christian mystic of sorts, I'll sing aloud "The Lord is my light, my light and my salvation. In himmm, I trust, in himmmm, I truuust."
Did this today walking back from the store, and voila, it worked like a charm and I'm back to clarity of focus again.

I am coming out of lurk mode to thank miss_silver, OmegaPoint and titorite for these incredible downloads. I have been listening to them daily for the past few days, and have had an interesting experience. I listen to the Bach one right before sleeping, and last night I must have fallen asleep for just a short time before I was awakened by the sensation that my bed was shaking. I live in Illinois, not a seismically active area, but it felt like an earthquake. No other sounds were going on in the rest of the house to indicate this was a whole house event, just the bed moved back and forth for about 5 seconds. The shaking of the bed yanked me out of sleep immediately, but seemed to go on for several seconds after I was fully awake and aware. I was not frightened, and felt as if it had something to do with energy or vibrational changes within myself. I had been listening consciously to a large portion of the Bach piece before apparently falling asleep, and it was still playing after the shaking started, so I think I had only been on the verge of sleep when it happened. My husband asleep beside me never woke up or felt anything. I'd like to hear if other people have experienced anything similar to this.

Wow! I have had this same experience about a month ago. It happened 3 nights in a row and pretty much exactly as you say it happened only I did not meditate before bed. But it was the same thing. The bed woke me out of a sleep and it kept shaking for a few seconds afterward. I was half asleep but I did look over at my boyfriend and he was still as a mouse, but as I fully came to it went completely away. The night after the third time I awoke to a very loud bang against the wall above my head. Again, my boyfriend didn't even stir but I physically jolted out of sleep it was so loud.

Very strange.

This is such a long thread I'm having trouble commenting on anything specific so I'll just detail my first experience with this.

First, some background on my meditation experiences. Ummm, pretty much NIL. I've tried meditation here and there. Not really ever anything more than 10 minutes and never at a regular interval. Meaning, I've never really tried to meditate any more than maybe 10 or 15 times in the last 10 years I've taken meditation seriously.

I have a serious problem getting my mind to shut up. I try not to force it. I try to focus on my breathing and it works for a little bit only to find myself talking things out in my head again and then I will go back to concentrating on my breathing. This pretty much goes on the entire time with nary a true moment of complete relaxation.

I guess I should include the times I do "meditate" while going to sleep by concentrating on my breathing and that actually helps me go to sleep alot better. Sometimes I just plain forget to even do that though.

Onto my experience with this track:

Downloaded it onto my MP3 player, got into the bathtub with a lighted candle and some lavender oil. Popped the phones into my ears. I love the beginning song. I can't explain the emotion it gives me. It's so beautiful.

I found the abrupt breaks between some of the tracks a bit jolting. I think I had too much going on with the candle light flikering and I put a little too much lavendar oil in the bathtub. I had to try not to concentrate on those things too much.

I did feel very relaxed. I had slight visions of what space looks like pouring into a blackhole. I found this to be relaxing as well. I still found myself having to get away from talking in my head and focus again on my breathing. There was a brief period that I noticed my breathing changed to being shallow and it was as if I could not control it (didn't feel like I wasn't breathing right though). I only did half an hour. I forgot that I should have done it for 15 then sat for 15. Instead I listened for half an hour and then I had to basically bring myself to even be able to pull the phones out of my ears. It seemed to take some effort, though not too much. The first time I opened my eyes they popped back closed but I forced them open because the water was getting cold and I need to GET OUT!

I felt very relaxed and calm for the rest of the night and it has carried over to today, for the most part. I'm a high strung person, meaning I get worked up, stressed out, and excited easily. But I've felt closer to "even-ness" today.

Some additional tip would be good and maybe, if there's any, some assurance that it's normal to have trouble quieting my brain?

Edit to add: Is it normal to hear those background sounds that I assumed were there to induce the different brain waves? Kinda sounds like a pulsating humming tone that slows down or speeds up sporadically (or seemingly sporadically)?

Cool.

Be sure to report back in 28 days from now, when you've started using both tracks ie: with the Compassion Meditation, back to back, with a fifteen minute quiet downtime in between and afterwards, or longer at the end, since you can easily pass into WILDs (wake induced Lucid Dreams), at the end of the session - in which case, do it lying down or slightly elevated with a giant pillow, provided you can remain either awake, or Lucid Dreaming, at the end, and then either choose to go to sleep for a while, OR - bring yourself back to waking Alpha, open eyes abit, and come back to waking consciousness, either/or, but I've found it, over the course of almost six months, to be completely harmless in every way and quite the opposite, the overall health benefits being absolutely ENORMOUS, along with the overall increase in general awareness, or aliveness + the spiritual growth, an experience fundamentally unique for each person, depending on inumeral variables, including the entire content of all your conscious and unconcious experiences, to the present moment.

You may find, well, peace of mind, and the ability to dominate and integrate, your thoughts, with peace and serenity, self control, equanimity.

Edit - and yes, the background sound is the binaural beat track from alpha to delta entrainment, mixed throughout with the Schumann resonance (Earth Vibration), an addition to the track, which I think is very helpful in the final analysis, to keep the person grounded or

teathered
to the Earth.

If you can do it while remaining awake and conscious, and only THEN decide, whether to go to sleep or not, or Lucid Dream, while preparing for longer dreamtime - could mean that
this meditation, can serve, as a direct gateway to the Lucid Dreaming State,
towards the end of, and after the track comes to an end, for your "sit" time.

Sit Time = Lucid Dream Time - that ought to be the goal I think..

P.S. That "teathered" edit thing just kind of happened by accident - "content from external source".., heh!, so I've just decided to leave it like that!

"We are 'Earth'. We are powerful beyond measure. This is nothing to separate us, as spiritual beings having a human Earthbound experience, from one another, or from our source, the source and center of all universal love, and compassion. Amen.."

Best Regards,

OP

Brain and Mind/Body Vitamins and Nutrients

When doing this as a daily meditation practice, it is recommended that you take fairly large doses of vitamin C and use a LOW flouride toothpaste, to reverse the negative effects of flouride on your pineal gland (flouride calcifies the pineal).

This vitamin nutrient supplement, Brain Lightning, to 'nourish your neurons', is also recommended, and while it costs money, trying to put together the same combination of 'nootropic' vitamin-nutrient-mineral supplements, would cost by far more - and no, this isn't a sales pitch to sell Brain Lightning, just a recommendation which would prove very beneficial, to aid in the evolutionary growth process, and to help 'rebuild' the system from the "workout" this stimulous puts your brain through.

www.brainlightning.com...

It's by no means neccessary, just very beneficial, particularly for people over 35 years of age.

And if I'm making vitamin nutrient recommendations to supercharge your health and well being, to go with a dramatic increase in conscious awareness, I'd be remiss not to also suggest two products from this place.

www.luanne.awarenesslife.com...

A blended Pure Trim Mediterranean Wellness Shake (you just blend with some ice and water, or throw in a banana and some fruit as well) with one once of Daily Complete - in the morning, for breakfast, will basically inject you with just about every vitamin, nutrient, mineral, herb, vegetable and botanical extract known to man. When I drink them, my body seems to just shout for joy with immense gratitude.

Imo, these three products are worth their weight in gold, and combine nicely with this "program" of extremely deep, daily meditation.

Just a helpful suggestion that's all.

A little bit of Yoga type stretches are also a good idea, especially for the spine and lower back, to make sure the energy is flowing through your nadi channel and chakra system effectively.

.. and drink lots and lots of water throughout the day.

And one day, in the very near future, you'll step out your door and BEHOLD a new creation!

Oh one more thing. If you are an all-or-nothing type of person like me, and you want to go hog wild, then try having a small dose of Himalayan Crystal Salt Sole first thing in the morning, to enter a physical daily frequency resonance beneficial for bodily health, both materially and etherically.

www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com...

These guys also have a Sole product with ORMUS called Golden Sole

www.americanbluegreen.com...

But it doesn't ship to Canada, unfortunately.

The idea in all of this, is to generate a type of alchemical process, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, moving along with you, like a wellspring 'distillery' day after day, for new life and the exploration of new realms of creative possibility.

IMO, this is not about the experiences you have within meditation at all, but in between your daily meditations, since any "experience" is just an experience, like a nice view passing you by on the highway, it means nothing. But your LIFE, your increasingly consciously aware moment by moment state or way of being - that means everything, and people shouldn't be getting confused in this regard, just because they're having cool experiences and visions etc. during the meditation session itself.

Not trying to tell anyone what to do here - only attempting to be as helpful as possible.

And that's about exhausted anything and everything I can add about this.

Happy journeys!

Rob

No lucid dreaming yet, but I can remember every aspect of my dreams after waking up.
