its really hard to tell if its real or not, it doesn't seem to be very big because during a thunderstorm the cloud level is very low and this object is lower than the cloud level and still appears small but it still could be large enough for passengers so who knows.

can someone answer me this?

a few people mentioned that it isnt likely an alien craft and referenced a lack of lights.

why would creatures with the ability to traverse great distances in space need lights on their craft?
i would think they have guidance technology more sophisticated than headlights

Haha, had to laugh at this comment having just come home from work. Please do tell us about these "creatures".

One question I have for you would be about the image compression.Should the compression be consistent throughout the photo? If so is there any specialist software that can detect inconsistencies in the compression? If not then I think without an original of the photo we can't rely on photo evidence? And this can neither be proved as real or fake!

The pics absolutely scream fake from a mile away to me.I've seen alot of hoaxes and this is another one to add to the pile imo of course.

The photos are perfect. Best evidence of aliens visiting us. A flag for this thread.

Really?

Even if we stipulate that the photos are of and actual craft (and not a model or toy), I don't know how you make the logical leap to "Aliens".

Personally, it seems too small to be an "actual" craft -- with the size based on the evidence that it is flying relatively low.

Damn I wish there was some detail on this.
I don't think this is a kite whatsoever....If it is a hoax, it's a damn good one. The photographer screws us again! lol..or not..

Am I the only one who immediately thought these pics look like black cardboard glued to photos? I am really disappointed this thread has 50+ flags. I see nothing compelling in these pictures and I lean towards the ET hypothesis for what it's worth.

well i didnt mean that this is definitely an alien (dont particularly believe we are being visited but i was just playing devils advocate and just going off the assumption that there were some beings from another planet visiting

I hate it when the first thing I think when I see a picture like that is "It's too good to be true".
Here are really clear shots like I always want to see, but I cant help but be skeptical!
I hate that!
Star and Flag anyway though!

EDIT:

OOPS! I'm sorry -- I didn't realize the EXIF you posted was simply an example and NOT the photos in question.

Nevermind

My problem is that if this craft was supposed to be similar to the other huge black triangles seen, the size of it just doesn't fit. A craft that size should reflect some level of atmosphere - similar to mountains in the distance having a blue foggy hue. Photoshop or tossed piepan, I say fake, sorry...... Fun to read the comments, though! ;!)

Greeneyedleo...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the EXIF information you posted said the picture was taken in September 5, 2008, but the OP said the picture is from May of 2009. I suppose the camera "time/date stamp" could be wrong, but further EXIF information says that the pictures were modified using "Microsoft Windows Photo Gallery" (presumably on a computer) -- but the date modified was September 6, 2008 (one day after the time/date stamp on the camera).

Greeneyedleo was using an example of what the EXIF data would look like, not the EXIF data of these pictures. Here's the correct information for these shots. Note the file modification date is the date / time I copied the files local to my computer. Not the date / time the pictures were taken.

That is ok

I never saw that there were original photos out there. I only went on the photos presented in the OP. Thanks to the others for finding them and posting the relevant info

Haha what may/may not be a model plane rules over what is an actual report in SC.

UFO spotted near flight that landed at GSP

Kristy Nicholas said the pilot of the Embraer 145 told flight controllers that the “strange object” he saw never showed up on his radar Friday night. The pilot reported a “missile or rocket” flying near his airplane on Friday. Nicholas said the plane, with 23 passengers and three crewmembers, had just passed 11,000 feet, going to 16,000 feet.

UFO Spotted in SC by pilot

This report is of a sighting in TEXAS not SC

Federal and Texas authorities are tying to locate the source of a “strange object” the pilot of a Continental Express plane reported flying about 150 feet beneath his plane in southeast Texas.

And has been extensively discussed on other threads here
