I believe religion is souring this entire site, it should be banned

If anyone feels as I do please star this post. I am close to leaving ATS because I can no longer stomach the holy rolling showing up in most threads. Several members speak as if they are ascended beings and we should be blessed to be in their presence. I have been on other forums that turned into cesspools because of religious banter, and I have been on forums that ban religious discussion -or relegate it strictly to one area (the best option). Religion has nothing to offer ATS whatsoever. I stated in another thread I think there is a general conspiracy here by christians (there are even evangelical moderators) that have infiltrated the site to an extreme level. They are here to stifle free thinking, distract discussion and 'do the lord's work' as they say. It is blatantly obvious what they are doing. I believe it is sinister, a manipulation and is ruining a great forum. This ban would be fought viciously and I know I'm probably wasting my time typing this. To those who feel as I do, do not be afraid to question the church on ATS. I hate to leave this site but I just can't take it any more. I can hear the replies already.. touting that all views should be embraced and respected. Well, they DO NOT respect our views I can tell you that. And on a parting note, I prefer no one 'pray for me'. Thank you.

If other peoples opinions about religion bothers you that much then I guess you will leave. There are plenty of anti religous threads floating around. Its kind of hypocritical to trash religion and not want those who believe not to jump to its defense.

To begin with and straight to the topic. My beliefs are mine and mine alone, who ever believes he or she is blessed or what ever it is in his own right to do so. Some of my posts have been regarding Muslims, Christians and jewish orientated religions which were not posted to support but to show the more intellectual people who ridiculous religion is when its mixed into the world. Religions is a very important but it also needs to be placed in ones private sanctuary and not to be forced down a persons mouth or into his mind.

I would have thought that since you have entered this site you more or less have seen what a destructive force religion plays on a socially ordered society. Lets face it, in the eyes of all religions many millions have been killed. So i am here to ask, why would you allow such a thing to get under you skin when the simplest thing to do is just to ignore who ever feels his a savior or any sort.

I don't think you read my post. I am basically saying remove religious discussion and injection out of the general forums and relegate it to that one forum. I know I'm going to get crucified over this one though. The horror of dozens of members unable to do the lord's work in the general forums.. well.. I'm expecting death threats already.

I do not think it should be banned but i think the conspiracy in religion boards should be given an overhaul. Most of the threads on there are just people trolling the christians, atheists baaaawwwing about being repressed, some political figure is the anti-christ and all ________ are going to hell. from what i see Atheists and christians are the only one's that the T&C's apply to. If you are muslim or scientologist it seems people can say whatever they want about you or to you.

Well in several of my posts i openly state how stupid the Muslim beliefs and how illiterate people are drawn into that radical ideology and strap some 2kg explosive walk into a coffee shop and blow everything up while shouting god is great. Lets face it, thay are so far of the deep end that not even deep sea sub can reach them.

You're going to ignore people for having a belief?
Why ignore the person....why not ignore the subject, makes much more sense!!

You seem very hostile man....

To simply judge someone on what they believe (or what you think they believe) is crazy....

I suggest you get used to the site, take the time to chat to people and engage them in discussion before you start acting like a bigot.

kinda my point. It's putting muslims in one big streotype. If you said that about blacks or jews it would not be okay. So a muslim might take offence to that seeing as they are not all terrorists.

Actually i have said how brutal and stupid Israel is on its political and social structure and how it too raises hatred amongst people who could benefit ten fold through cooperation rather than openly hating and calling for another persons death.

As i have said, the human race has evolved far greater in the past 100 years than what it has when religion governed life and death. I care not what race,creed, color a person is, as long as he does not come into conflict with a simple evolutionary law. "We must cooperate and co exist if we want our species to evolve beyond our wildest dreams.

Religion has its own place in a person heart and mind and that cannot be forced onto any person.
