I just get the biggest kick out of the US spokesman saying that they have to wait and verify something we've KNOWN and talked about for over an hour.

Weasels!

The message from N. Korea seems to be very clear now. They want the west to recognize them as a nuclear power.

But I believe the real danger may be N. Korea's cooperation with the Iranians (old news, but has their cooperation increased or decreased?) on nuclear testing and development.

Let's see what comes out of this UNSC emergency meeting .

Yeah...not like they haven't had a "wait and see" approach on this issue for the past decade though...basically are stance on the issue is that we dont have a stance on the issue...

Biden said Obama will be tested so you shouldn't be surprised.

What makes it worse is Obama and liberals think Kim Jong-Il, Ahmedinejad and terrorist respect weakness. They could care less about American values. This is why when your facing an enemy that wants to control the souls of men there's no room for apologizing everywhere and showing weakness.

These people see weakness and they see opportunity to strike.

Obama will look for a middle ground where none exists.

So North Korea is nuke capable.

Are they really? I believe that the big question is: how many suitcase nukes did Kim buy and how many does he have left. I don't believe that NK can make miniature sized nukes, as it's harder than making "normal sized" nukes. Black market nukes are more likely, imo. Their first explosion was the size of a suitcase nuke. This explosion seems to have been about the same size.

Why dont you believe NK can make suitcase nukes? Just asking, if you have info on that, muchly appreciated.
Black market nukes? From whom? Some info on that would be a good read.

My main point was how this plays out according (if it is indeed part of a larger plan) to the NWO's agenda. NK having nukes, suitcase size or not, is no accident. If they are not making them, who is? Where are they acquiring the materials? The knowledge, and so on.

My main question is where does this fit into the bigger picture. The world stage and is there any links to players or organizations of the NWO, that are known, playing a part in NKs nuclear ambitions.

Yeah.. they probably send a couple of truckloads full of rice and beg Kim to stop his nuclear program.

Why I don't believe NK can make suitcase nukes? Because they are harder to make than normal nukes. And because they are much easier to buy. Who sold them to Kim? The Russian mafia perhaps?

It doesn't. That is why nuclear disarmament is such a big deal with Obama. If a rouge country has nuclear capability they lose control. with Nuclear you get power(electricity) and weapons.

Power you become self sufficient and Sanctions don't mean much because you can produce your own fuel. Weapons is pretty self explanatory. The problem is that the last thing any cabal bent on world domination is a military strong enough to counter their own military.

Rouge nations with the capability to knock out essential area needed for redevelopment throws a huge wrench in the works. This is still real life not everything is planned and under the control of some cabal. There are variables.

As far as an NWO goes I'm with Calitene(Sp?) I think it is a bunch o different people wanting complete control and an NWO will collapse before it ever because to full fruition.

This is worrying though because I remember somewhere on ATS a thread about how NK has a strong enough military to give US a run for our money. Not to mention we can't afford another war and the world can't handle another war.

Time will tell, but what is even more startling is that SK being our allies have already confirmed this test and NK has also and our admin is trying to sweep it under the rug already. We just found out what kind of decision maker we have as a president and he's very weak and has no backbone.

Well we will see what happens tomorrow. I expect that Obama will get on the TV tomorrow and read something from the teleprompter telling us not to worry all is well. After all bad news on a Monday is not good in the political world they would rather have had this happen this past Friday.

I have a feeling though that NK is done playing around and they are already planning their next move.

In fairness - the one key element that's missing from the news at this point is any mention of radioactivity. I've been scanning the Japanese news, and have yet to see it here. Nothing in the western media either.

That's the smoking gun, really. Once that data is assembled, there will be a better picture of what really happened, and a proper response can be planned.

You can also bet that the USA's data collection at this point involves a lot of communication with China, Russia, South Korea, and Japan, which is good.

This will probably wind up at the UNSC over the next 24 hours, and be dealt with there.

I think we shold give Obama at least the chance to deal with this issue through diplomatic means...get the international community involved to try and get some kind of joined response.

We are now dealing with a nuclear North Korea and we dont know how many nukes they have and what they intend to do with them. I agree with you that no middle ground exist but still diplomacy has to go first before anyhting else...the questions is what happens after Obama realizes that there is no room for negotiating with this country? What if the international community dont want to deal with the issue?

Anyone who thinks the U.S. Air Force can not take just about every weapon that lil Kim has and wipe it out needs to think again. U.S. Marines also have tactical nukes at their disposal to wipe out the whole North Korean front lines should they start an attack on the south.

I think this will push Japan over the edge and they will begin building long and medium range nukes. They might also rapidly build an offensive force despite the long standing promise (Treaty)they made to us. All witch would cause China to poop an egg roll. However would we really care if a now great ally like Japan had a larger force. Lord knows they could help us out when push comes to shove.

I'm as liberal as they come here on ATS but I feel that emergency diplomatic meetings need to be established with North Korea, the US, all the countries in the region, China, and Russia and if a lid can't be put on this... bombs need to be falling on NK nuclear facilities. Never thought I'd say that but it's very clear to me that North Korea is screwing with us and the international community at large and something drastic needs to be done.

I wonder where China is with all of this.

i agrre completely. all this is , is another move in the NWO chessboard. The economy is a mess, just like it was before previous World Wars. All we are hearing is about all these possible war scenarios.

Its conditioning the world for war. N.Korea,Israel,Georgia,Russia,Iran, USA
Its a matter of time before this all kicks off. The pieces are moving into place nicely for the Rothschilds etc.

I'm just saying, but we have been dealing with NK through diplomatic means for decades. They still go on and do what ever they want, through sanctions and everything. I'm not saying go and carpet bomb them right now or anything, but I think its high time to rise above meaningless talk and sanctions.

NK doesn't want to talk they want to sit at the big kids table and be apart of world decisions. In fact it's kind of strange that for the UN that preaches human rights and freedom and all that good sounding rhetoric that is all it is talk. They don't practice what they preach. Corrupt politicians have taken over everything. Simple as that.

This is all the same road we have been down time and time again. NK wants to have a vote in the UN. They are going to do what ever they need to either A) Make that Happen or B) Eliminate the threat to their country. Pick one.

Also I think Kimmy is dead and the military is in power now and Kimmy's body double is nothing more than PR so the real power holders can continue to operate out of the public eye.

Seems like North Korea detonated another suitcase nuke. It was about the same same size as their first test. Maybe it was even sponsored by Al Qaeda. If Al Qaeda also have a few suitcase nukes, I bet they would want to see if they work. How to test it "undetected"? They let Kim test it. Now they know that they work...

It really isn't that simple anymore. We are now dealing with a nuclear armed nation. There is no telling how many nukes they have or anything else. If we bomb them they won't retaliate against us they will retaliate against weaker countries to make their show of military power seem far superior than what it actually is.

We should have done something years ago.
