Obama could have just easily continued on to print money, but he chose to put it out there for all of us. First president to readily admit this.

Are you really still defending this tool?

Rest assured people, our great wise lord and savior and messiah Darth, I mean President Obama will magically make money just reappear because it's loose change we can all believe in, so don't worry there's hope! Now bow and chant to Obama statue in your house now, do it he's watching! He's just pretending right now that we are in trouble, we are a nation that lives by TV, so he's got to add in the drama now and come back in a few weeks to save the day! He's got to relate to us regular folk. Anyway, what a joke, I can't wait to hear what comes out of his mouth the rest of his term.

I have been telling people this since the moment he even hinted he was running, that he will make Bush look great. I almost miss that stuttering fool, but maybe that's why some thing barry is such a great speaker. I almost fall asleep when he is giving a public address. You could have a fun drinking game over a Bush speech, for every stutter take a drink! You'd be out cold midway through. Anyway, I also have been saying that resurrected jesus will not fulfill any promises and that he's just another politician. But the followers called me everything from racist to antique, close minded, stupid, and everything else. I wonder if all the free loading people out there that thought Ol barry was going to not only give out more handouts, but have it all in fancy gift bags, complete with tissue and a ribbon bow. Then again, I suppose it doesn't matter who the clown with the POTUS title is, they are puppets after all, so you can't really hate on him too much. Even though it is very easy to do so.

I have no need to defend the man, his stimulus is in the works and it will take atleast two years for anybody to conclude anything.

Tell me Flyers, did we all of a sudden find ourselves out of money today, or did that start when our debt exceeded our GDP per year and our currency ended up being backed by nothing? We have been without money for decades. All we did was to continuously print out money to fill out the gaps so we would never come to this. I would really like to know what on earth made you think it was any different in the prior administration or the administrations before that.

By the end of the 90s it seemed we were on our way to bringing down our debt and actually finally earning money that doesnt shrink in the face of the huge "debt hole", but no, we had the "average joe from texas" come in and nearly double our debt. This notion that an administration, that contributed a small fraction of the debt so far contributed by past presidents, has caused us to have no more money... now... is naive, and I think its just an excuse to flame on from partisan lines.

Say what you want about this administration and the stimulus, if you want to go about the blame game over certain administrations, you might as well blame Bush boy here for the loss of $5 trillion his daddy for another $1.5 trillion, Reagan for another $1.5 trillion, Carter for $800 billion, Clinton for "$1 trillion" and Obama for his $800 billion stimulus.

If your blame is on the spending game, conservatives aint looking too good in this argument.

The whole interview is strange. What's up with that Taft/Supreme Court question? Why did the interviewer ask that? What the heck does that have to to do with the price of tea in China? Talk about dischordant questions coming out fo left field...

We've been out of money for a long time. That's the definiton of "deficit." Spending more than you have. Was just as true under, say, Carter or Reagan as it is now.

The issue is confusing because there are at least 3 major types of deficit: trade deficit, national deficit, gov't deficit. When politicians say "the deficit," pay attention to *WHICH* deficit they are talking about. They can be pretty slippery with that word because most people don't have a clear grasp of what "the deficit" is anyway. Politicians like it that way.

well, if this just isn't the week of redundant news...

Swine flu, North Korea, troubles in Pakistan

WE are broke

GDUHR

Maybe Obama will next announce that White people can't dance, another major news flash...

and

you know

who would have ever guessed that with Obama in charge our nation would cry poverty...

siiiiigh, sad thing is it might actually work

400 Million Americans

x 2,500.00 a year is approximately 1 Trillion a year

That's what it's going to take to dig out of this whole

Time to get used to it

Or declare bankruptcy

Either way just make a decision and get it over with already!

All I saw was him pushing his agenda on nationalized healthcare.

"We are broke, but MY NEW HEALTHCARE PLAN WILL MAKE US RICH AGAIN".

I'm sick of your ignorant replies blaming the republicans for this. This isn't a Republican issue, nor is it a Democratic Issue. It all falls back to the Federal Reserve controlling our currncy and our debt. I will back any politician who seeks to dismantle the fed, and put our money making capabilities back in the hands of our own government. Allow free monetary competition in this country without forcing people to accept one type of currency over another. I don't think it's possible to go back to the gold standard completely, but perhaps silver? Our money has to be backed by something that doesn't fluctuate, and that doesn't get affected by consumer confidence.

Forget your arguements about who spent what, and focus on why they are selling us out, and rally to make them stop.
