The first vid.

The second seems to be hanging from a wire. You see the odd glint from it..

My initial thought was that it was an inflatable turtle as well, however I can't figure out how it's traveling in what seems to be a straight line and it's rate of travel is too fast for a balloon. Also it's size doesn't make sense, it looks to be several meters long, I don't really see anyone making a turtle balloon of that size. So this is either an elaborate hoax or E.T started to design their craft to look like things that we'd see here to confuse us all lol.

I mean the most logical event would be yes - a flying turtle balloon floating above air. But there is just something in the uniform way it's moving. It doesn't rotate, twist, elevate, lower ori anything. I'm not saying this is alien in nature but I just don't see a flying turtle balloon.

In a strong wind airborne objects may not tumble if the aerodynamics force it to point in the direction of the wind or if one part is weighted. It does look like a balloon of some sorts.

You can tell by the video that it isn't that windy. That thing was moving across the sky way too fast to be a balloon come on. Looks like one of those enclave things from fallout3

That's an observation I failed to make. Thanks for pointing it out.

Maybe someone has discovered the secret of anti gravity flight for themselves and they were out doing some kind of a test flight that day. But why it would look like that I don't know. But then again why not. If you think about it you can make anything fly with anti-gravity technology. It was going way to fast to be a balloon.

Another thought I just had is that one of the witnesses had binoculars. If it had been a flying turtle balloon don't they would have mentioned it instead of wasting their time filming a balloon?

My personal opinion of what they saw is that its a drone, which would mean its for survelliance purposes. The question is if its one of ours or one of theirs, and due to its really strange look I actually think its one of theirs.

As to how the hell a turtle ballon is going that fast , i have no idea. RC maybe? i don't think wind could do that? but its a turtle.

Also, yeah, big ups to Canada, the most prolific use of the F word i have ever encountered took place in Edmonton. My whole family plus their neighbors, from 90 yr old ladies to 12 yr old boys, dropped the f bomb more in the week i was there than i have ever heard it dropped in my whole life. and my cussing puts sailors to shame. i also experienced the drinking for celebratory reasons, though the reasons were pretty obscure to me. i think someone passed a pop quiz in university?? it left me boggled.

love and peace

Yep the F word and beer are both part of the Canadian National Identity...

as well as MJ

Anyhow this above accounts for many of my off the wall posts which make me laugh when I read them the next day....lol
Back on topic....
Well yeah its a Reptilian Craft..of course its looks like a turtle.

Sorry another one for the turtle explanation. I've seen many large inflatable turtles as displays in seaside bucket and spade shops around the uk and even larger ones as pool toys at the local council pool. I don't buy the wind argument against the turtle either. At festivals I regularly see entire tents whipped into the air from nearby when around our tent there's no wind at all. These tents move very fast, can go incredibly far before accelerating down into crowds and car parks. I lost a gazebo that way once.

It's an inflatable turtle done deal.

i'm sorry but why would anyone in oakbay victoria float a supergiant inflatable turtle over the water? the only reason to make a supergiant inflatable flying turtle would be for marketing purposes and it's not exactly a huge marketing demographic over there.

It does not look like a turtle. It looks like a tan, nose shaped object with little dark wing appendage whatnots attached to the bottom and top, which may explain the stable flight. Or it is a flying reptilian turtle baloon death ship sent to confuse drunken Canadian potheads

I still think it looks like a semi-retarded looking pigs head floating around. I mean I can see the turtle but it looks more swine

This is no freakin turtle balloon. I spend a lot of time on the shores of BC and have seen balloons, blimps, stray carnival balloons flying around and none of them ever moved that fast even in stormy weather. And if it is some super balloon someone just wasted a lot of money to never seen the thing again after they let to go..... Also its traveling for a really far distance over the condos on the shore pasting the boat until its gone from view in a mater of moments with out any chaotic movements that would happen in winds.
