I'd just like to know where you all were when the last administration was taking away all our rights. No one seemed to care about 'terrorist' lists and people disappearing without the rights to lawyers

I guess you missed most of the threads, regarding the outrage over the Patriot Act.
Obama could have revoked it, but notice, he is making no such move.
You need to realize that both parties are nothing but two sides of the same coin, both intent on removing all liberties, and destroying the Bill of Rights.
They are well on the way to doing that, with all of the legislation passed, recently, and in Congress, waiting for a vote.

You know, with all due respect and understanding for the rage people feel at the attrition of rights, I just can't get too worked up about this. I think it's because I have always felt that the best weapons are the ones that are made from normal every day items. In all of history, whenever a government tried to restrict or deny the people weapons, new ones were always developed from thing lying around.

On another note, I have read so many of these laws and I have to marvel at how these things read like a laundary list of "bug fixes". Yes, I am a software developer...lol

Keep voting for these people and this is what you get.

If I understand the summary of this, and what "they" intend to do with it...if you decide to protest the bill, or march on Washington because you disagree with it...you could then be titled a (suspected) terrorist. Think about that a sec people...IF YOU VOICE YOUR OPINION IN OPPOSITION TO IT...YOU CAN BE BRANDED BY IT!

This is nuts, but expected from this administration. My biggest problem is that unlike others on this forum...I DON'T have faith in the American people to do anything about it. This country doesn't have the back-bone any more and everyone is concerned for themselves, not the people. The end result...it could pass without a problem. Well...no problem until they try to collect guns. Unless they just won't sell you ammo and let you keep your guns.

Those of you who voted for this administration...you are killing this country. Those of you who didn't...you may be killed. What a great situation.

You better watch it buddy or you will be deemed a terrorist by treason for challenging the power of the government. ha ha just kiddin for now. I give it about a year and we will have chips implanted in our hands with gps and barcodes attached to the back of our lips. The government just needs to let the people rule like we made this country to be. The government is turning exactly into the English USED to be no offense. 2012 is real and obama will be the reason

"But what I do know is this new bill if passed will equal immediate civil war."

You might be right, however take a water sample from your tap to a reputable lab for analysis. They'll find all sorts of goodies... namely a whole slew of psychoactive drugs and antipsychotics, not to mention chlorine and flouride. The nation is medicated. This will pass them by like everything else. It's like being surrounded by zombies.

Most countries require a license that will only be obtained through thorough examination in the first place. It's quite surprising to know that the US doesn't abide by this law in the first place.

What a crock of Sh*t!!

If this gets passed, it will be just as bad if not worse than the Patriot Act. I recently found an article online and started a thread about a group of "home grown" terrorists arrested in NYC.

"Home grown" terrorist arrested on plot to bomb NYC

With this incident, it seems the bill will be passed. They have the "smoking gun" what more could they ask for? What an atrocity! I still can't believe our country has amounted to this. It pisses me off so much and what can we really do about it?

The funniest part of this entire bill, is that the sponsor, Peter King, helped provide guns and weapons for the IRA!
Just Google Peter King IRA, and you'll see how he actively collected money for the IRA, stayed at IRA homes in Ireland, and drank at Pubs in Ireland with an IRA gang called the FELONS.

Well like all things, if it is illegal, you get more money for it.

Maybe he is just a enterprising gent, lol.

I think we are looking at another gun grab.

If you are known militia be ready to be raided, glad I have nothing
to do with all that because I'd like to hold off on bugging out
for a bit longer, lol.

The Late Great USA indeed.

There can be no uprising simply due to the overwhelming technological advantage. people with guns.. big whup. Militias will be greeted now with microwave weapons and subsonic pulse dishes that will have them surrendering before the first rebellious shot is ever fired. But don't think for a second it will be our government doing this. China owns us and they will be a player in the US soon. We'll all step into line just like the Chinese population does. Enjoy the time we have left.

Does the government not read their own documentation and research?

(U//FOUO) Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans
likely would attract new members into the ranks of rightwing extremist groups,
as well as potentially spur some of them to begin planning and training for
violence against the government. The high volume of purchases and
stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation
of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary
concern to law enforcement.

Pulled directly from DHS Rightwing Extremist manual

So, first they release a document that states in elementary terms that gun grabbing is going to be a leading factor in creating more extremists, then the turn around 2 months later and start working on a bill that will GRAB GUNS!

How do these idiots tie their shoes in the morning?

So, if the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, then then acting on these realizations must mean they are behind on their agenda and need to pick up the pace. I think someone on the tribunal must be getting impatient for these things to be happening so fast lately.

That microwave weapon you're talking about?

Any Faraday cage with fine screen can circumvent it.

There is no weapon on earth that can't be avoided, circumvented, or defeated.

And if that fails, you take out the operators.

This bill is indeed troubling. I thought the Democrats learned after losing fifty-something seats the last time they passed the assault weapons ban.

That didn't go over too well, and now I see they voted to allow loaded firearms into national parks.

Maybe we still have them by the short-hairs, with the exception of either California pinkos, or Northeastern pinkos.

They bear watching.

Careful watching.

First they came for the guns. I did nothing because I had no guns.
Then they came for the militiamen. I did nothing because I was not a militiamen.
Then they came for the veterans. I did nothing because I was not a veteran.
Then they came for me. There was nobody left to stop them.
I wish I had done something...

Your kidding right? oil fields in Saudi effects me because I have to pay more to fuel my car. Guns, on the other hand do not since I don't own a weapon. Guns are for cowards, you want to fight? come at me with a knife or your fist.

~Peace.

You're kidding, right?

"My dear old dad told me a long time ago "Son, don't EVER take a knife to a gunfight. The Widowmakers will just step over your dead body and move on the the next one. Fisticuffs are for live men too full of false bravery, and dead fools. They usually are the one and the same at the end."

And one thing I've learned over my years is that you don't get to choose your opponents weapons. They will take care of that little problem themselves.

So, you're kidding, right?

glad somebody took the time to answer my questions, (sarcasm intended).
sounds to me like a lot of you guys declaring your love for america, are wanting to start a war, with america! however will you cope without your firearms to go and shoot each other? or perhaps you want to go to another country and shoot some inoccent people?
i really dont understand your reasoning and obsession with guns, i welcome someone to explain it to me.

All of the reasons have been spread all across the internet for quite a long time now. I'm sure you've run into them from time to time. If you STILL can't understand, then you never will. Your mind is closed, and you are uneducateable.

Judging by your post, however, I'm quite sure you are merely feigning ignorance in the hopes of starting an incendiary free for all. Because of that, you have been ignored. We haven't time to waste educating those who refuse education.

Have a nice day.

According to the patriot acts, you are a terrorist if you: protest the gov't, oppose any gov't decision or regulation, lead a protest, disrupt daily traffic in a busy part of town protesting, are a member of any gov't extremist group deemed by the attorney general to be violent, and if you fail to obey any gov't orders when directed at time of crisis.

The camps are built, ready and waiting, the legislation to legalize the camps is pending, gun rights laws are everywhere, and the private police forces for obama are awaiting their orders. Hang on folks, it's gonna get a bit rougher shortly!

They should just be honest about it and come out with a bill to repeal all of our constitutional rights!
Then we could all raise hell and when it gets passed, we could all raise some more hell while we wait for someone besides ourselves to stand up and do something about it.

I think that Americans have entered the real "1984" era.

Exciting news! Chocolate rations have gone up!

If this bill passes, then it is time to seriously start considering secession. The federal government is diminishing our rights even further. I have been planning seceding as well. It would be a micronation, but I can get others to join and be strong.

Yeah, I know its a weird idea. It's just a thought, some people get so outraged at the thought of secession, but when the gov. gets like it is now then its time. I'm sure by posting this my IP will be logged because I am a dangerous "right wing extremist"
