I think it's unfair too.

I've been a member on ATS for almost 5 years and
and this is the way I'm "rewarded"?

This makes me feel that I won't be taken seriously
when I post something.

It has to fairly take into account Activity, not just number of years you have been here.. It would be unfair to give older members an upgrade is newer members in a matter of months have done twice as much content production.

Seriously do you people just like to cry. They cried about the 250 deal now they cry about this. If points and titles matter to you than IMHO your just sad. I think it’s a good idea. I am going to read post no matter what level a poster is on. While I know Sdog was only joking. Those who will no doubt only read and respond to posters in or above their level those people are sad also. :shk: People just enjoy your time here.

I like the idea of providing some incentives (if only virtual incentives) to put some thought behind posts.

At 10 000 posts a day, adding some more quality is a good thing.

It says "Novice content provider" .. underneath of which is shows exactly how long you have been here.

So they would still see your a senior member in terms of time..

Honestly I don't think anyone, including new people, are going to be giving these tags much thought. Honestly, is it going to change what you say in your posts, what threads you partake in, who you befriend and talk to??

Certainly, I hope not. It's just recognition in regards to the quality of your content. Not a perfect system (I still want applauses taken into account) but it's a dang good system.

Besides, the old bar's where the same way .. the bigger the bar the better right? We didn't look down on the fellas with the wee little bars..
