I checked the history channels website for their channel listings and for May 25th from 8-11pm it says

Decoding The Past: Mayan Doomsday Prophecy
The world is coming to an end on December 21, 2012! The ancient Maya made this stunning prediction more than 2,000 years ago. We'll peel back the layers of mystery and examine in detail how the Maya calculated the exact date of doomsday. Journey back to the ancient city of Chichen Itza, the hub of Maya civilization deep in the heart of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, to uncover the truth about this prophecy. The Maya were legendary astronomers and timekeepers--their calendar is more accurate than our own. By tracking the stars and planets they assigned great meaning to astronomical phenomena and made extraordinary predictions based on them--many of which have come true. Could their doomsday prophecy be one of them? In insightful interviews archaeologists, astrologers, and historians speculate on the meaning of the 2012 prophecy. Their answers are as intriguing as the questions.

so theres your answer i guess

For the seventh time, please read through the thread. We covered this at the beginning. An embargo is in place, the name of the documentary cannot be disclosed until the 25th.

you are about the 15th person to post that...lol. Not tryin to sound like an a-hole, but read through the previous posts, and you will see that that block is empty for the show that they have not announced yet. The Myan doomsday is an hour long...There are 2 hours after that of (TBA) space.

EDIT: Infinite beat me to the scolding...

Once I saw a suppose alien material on a UFO documentary, apparently from Roswell. Want to know the coincidental fact? The hand panels on the craft are an exact match to the one of that book cover.

I'll try and find the video.

Oh ok thanks for keeping me up to date, i thought maybe it was some crazy 3 hour special or something. IMO if the government was going to disclose info about ufo/et's the history channel wouldn't be the medium they chose. They would want primetime. Just my two cents though.

Well, I was just reading another post about how this man had made a discovery that proves evolution as a fact and the documentary has been kept "top secret". That very well could be it.

www.telegraph.co.uk...

This senile looking old darwinist claims that a small monkey-like creature is the missing link in human evolution? AFAIK in evolution, usualy big animals tend to become smaller and not vice versa!
Believing this crap IMO is like believing the official story of 9-11.
Sientific DISINFO at it's best!!

they reveal it themselves and earn the respect of the UFO community or let the UFO community release the documents as they said they would thus embarassing the new administration and showing the lies they have kept from us the "average joe" or in this country "Average brit/limey"... hold on to your hats everyone! this "COULD" be it =)

hmm all them dates are earth shattering...somehow those great events don't match with "May 25th 2009 the human missing link is found.. a ancient monkey" in my eyes i'd yawn and turn it off. it doesnt get the oompf of the other events!

y'know the history channel..usually crap stuff. I think we might have to look to the guys at the UFO conference to give documents, videos and photos to the media to distribute..

Is this the same thing that David Attenborough is scheduled to release in a documentary?

www.telegraph.co.uk...

"Sir David Attenborough is to present a documentary claiming to have discovered a missing link in human evolution – a monkey-like creature called an adapid.

Sir David's programme is expected to be shown later this month Photo: Getty

The BBC programme, expected to be screened later this month, could help to resolve the debate about which kind of primates humans are descended from.

Sir David will reveal the well-preserved frame of the small monkey-like creature on the programme.

The fossilised animal, thought to be at least 37 million years old, is a member of the extinct adapid family, and was discovered in a disused quarry in Germany.

Similar in appearance to modern lemurs, the young female has certain key differences which convinced researchers they have found the link to modern apes.

Unlike lemurs, it has no "toothcomb" teeth for grooming or "toilet claws" for scratching, two omissions which make it more likely to be ancestral to monkeys, higher apes and ultimately humans.

The fossil is reportedly so well preserved that some of its soft tissues such as skin and even its stomach contents can be examined.

The documentary is said to be based on research done by the Public Library of Science, a non-profit scientific publisher.

Prof Philip Gingerich, co-author of the report and president of the US Paleontological Society, said: "I examined this skeleton. It is exceptionally complete and it is well-dated.

"We have kept it under wraps because you can't blither about something until you understand it. We now understand it. It is going to advance our knowledge of evolution."

The fossil of the creature, named Darwinus masillae, was discovered in two parts at different times.

Until the second part was discovered last year and the halves united by Norwegian scientists, the significance of the fossil went unnoticed.

Sir David declined to comment. The BBC programme, due to be screened later this month, could help to resolve the debate about which kind of primates humans are descended from.

You are the seventh person to post that link and we've debunked it as a separate event for the BBC - not the History Channel.

When I made reference to it half way through the thread. If you've studied the contributions, you will understand the research team have an embargo on the discovery - no one is allowed to report it. So it will not appear in the Daily Telegraph, will it?

Please read through the thread first.
