I am not trying to debunk your post but I cannot find the article. I can fiind the headline but when I click on the title it brings me back to the same page but the story is not on it. If this happened why is it not all over the news? Someone would be all over this surely. What gives?

An astounding news report that was published on Business Week website and then
hastily removed has set the UFO community on fire, at least briefly. UFO related forums like www.godlikeproductions.com and www.abovetopsecret.com have gone into frenzy mode over the news where copies of the report were posted prior to its removal from the source. Most UFO enthusiasts are fairly certain that the report is a hoax partly on the basis that the story was removed so quickly and has not been published in any other media outlets.

The report states that:

Just Facebooked a couple I know that teach at USD. They live in Vermillion, which isn't too far away. They haven't heard anything there. I'd think that if this was real, it would be all over the media, internet included. This should be all over the so-called "blogosphere". I don't know, that's my two cents...

Maybe this is just the intelligence communities testing our responses that kind of news.

Allowing this thread to go on for over 12 pages in beyond belief.
Unsubstantiated rumours like this are spread only to create anxiety and fear.
This has become a disturbing trend I've seen on this and other forums lately. Unbelievable.

I can find out in the next 8 hours if it's true or not.

I live very very near there and have heard nothing. If it did happen I'll know within a couple hours after I get to work tonight chances are it didn't but I'll see what I can dig up. I have a few people I need to call and hope they don't think I'm going loony lol...

I just knew it was too damn good to be true. However, at the rate we're using up this "rock", we certainly could use a gentle, but guiding hand. Rather sooner than later.

I literally did a huge double take at the headline and story shouting, "WHAT!?!?!" so loud my family came to the game room to see what I was reading...

This is garbage i will admit i got really excited when i first read this and kind of said to myself 'finally' but yeah of course, a pile of BS is all that lies behind the curtain.

I'm kind of on the fence as far as belief in ETs visiting here. I feel like I want to believe.. but I am just waiting for something like this. Then something like this happens and it's all a pile of crap.

Just typical. I want some explanations already. I want to know what I saw as a kid in my room. I want to know what the green orb that I saw was later in life. This just angers me to find out that it is a hoax.

What angers me the most is the fact that the real answer is out there somewhere. I have tried meditating talking to aliens, all the junk that goes around these boards as far as communication with greys. Man, maybe I am just a dud. But I have still witnessed things that warrant explanation, and this was certainly not it. Disappointing.

It's a hoax. Someone hacked the website and posted the story.

I have followed this thread all day long. I'm a lurker who has kept and eye on this site, on and off, for a few weeks now... and this thread made me want to join so as to post before it got trashed.

Basically, I think the nature of this hoax is worth studying in and of itself. Think about it: A MAJOR mainstream media source ran an apparently hoaxed article about an alien landing today and it took over an hour to take it down. Doesn't that make anyone wonder if it was an inside job? That's a fairly major hack... and it was up for long enough to cause a stir.

I wonder if this was posted to see how people would react to it. Sort of like a psyche experiment.

BTW, I thought it was interesting that the story had a built-in explanation as to why no cameras were working: The alien ship shut them down. That shows that the hoaxer was aware of ufo lore regarding electrical outages.

What a ripoff I say. People who do that should be ashamed of themselves, to not make it clear that it is a work of fiction.

Either that, or TPTB have their fingers in every pie and had the article pulled, the populace re-educated to forget it, and sent ET home.
