You can find other photos with the same effect. It always occurs under the same lighting conditions.

It is neither a "a shadow of a shadow" nor the result of a second light source but the effect of an internal reflection within the camera due to shooting directly into the sun (lens flare). The light enters the camera, passing through the lens and Reseau plate (casting the first shadow). Because it is so intense, some of the the light is reflected from the Reseau plate to the back of the lens and again back to the plate. Note the lenticular distortion of the marks, indicating the distortion of the reflection by the shape of the lens.

Why are people so angry?

If this guy has something that exposes the NASA cover up - awesome.

If he wants to charge for it, well that sucks - but hey it's a free world. You don't have to buy it.

I ultimately think TRUTH should be FREE or at the very most up for donations if you choose. I spent 3 weeks researching out of my own interest - and perhaps you can understand the time it does take to research this stuff if you have done this.

ATS rocks not so much for its content (seems religious gun fanatics love this place), because it is FREE. There is a lot of crap to filter out - but when you understand how to do that you get a nicer picture.

But simply going on and on and on about your point - can be detrimental to what you are saying. Even i forget this at times... :p

Well maybe someone should include Photography 101 in NASA astronaut training so they stop shooting into the sun and creating all these photo anomalies

Trust that it would be you that noticed that but that is exactly as it is in the original Lunar Orbiter 5 image. All that was added was color... though now that you pointed that out I will need to recolor the 'squid'

But that humanoid looking figure is about 10 kilometers in size. So it appears there are more than one GIANT HUMANOID like shapes on the moon.

Yes but at at least that one LOOKS humanoid but we still seen that its trick of the light on a collection of craters what others not on here would make of it would be interesting to hear!

Having seen Moon Rising clip on you tube i don't get it. if this is a giant the bugger would be close tothree or four miles high right? if this is a space ship and its ten times larger than los angeles if its not real or someone faked this why is it blurred and is there more of the 1.8 million photos taken where i can see them? where does one go to find this photos? i want to see them for myself it all sounds kind far fetched to me

Well I just watched Moon Rising.

Congratulations to Mr Escamilla on making this outstanding film.

Now that I watched it and enjoyed it online for free I will be purchasing the DVD for my collection - the quality of the streaming version I watched does not do the images justice.

My golly, what a good show - I didn't expect it to this well-produced.

The soundtrack is complimentary to the images, so is the contiguous running commentary. What a score...
