The definition of Sexual Orientation is not solely straight bi or gay . It refers to desire behavior and fantasy as well as the traditional meanings .

Most bills will define terms in the definitions part of the bill .If the bill writers wanted to define the meaning of Sexual Orientation to include or exclude certain Sexual Orientations this should have been spelled out there it wasn't so the interpretations is subject to almost any recognized definitions . Which would lead to the broadest sense of the definition.

Inclination toward a particular type of sexual activity or behavior . This part of the definitions allows for a lot of interpretations and sexual behaviors. Besides pedophilia the definition could be extended to other sexual desires also to be protected under the law .

I personally dislike any one or group being a sacred cow . If a crime is committed the penalty should be the same regardless of who perpetrated the crime and what type of person is the victim

I got my info directly from cops and chiefs of police.
Singling out the south-okay-my bad-it's most likely prevalent in rural
areas everywhere. It's not like anyone can take a poll.

I am ranting about lowering the age of consent for the post-pubescent.
I am against child rape and want society to protect children from predators.
However, I am consistent in protecting children and want innocent children
protected from some stupid, zombie soldiers. Emphasis on the word "some".
Soldiers who don't kill children are to be commended
-they are the real heroes and I appreciate them and support them.

In the past twenty years, the GOP has done an amazing job of using language to win votes. It started when they hired NLP experts to work on Bush's campaign against Dukakis, IIRC, and it really accelerated when Newt Gingrich sent out a list words to use when describing Republican "things" and a list of words to use when describing Democrat "things." Obviously, the latter list of words was meant to trigger a negative reaction in the listener.

The Democrats (read: Obama) are just now catching up. "Change" was actually one of the words that Gingrich suggested using to describe Republicans.

Once you conclude that we have a one-party system, it's actually entertaining to watch these two parties compete against eachother. It's sort of like watching a sporting event.

You probably know more than that -- they just haven't told you. In my experience, it's sickeningly common (people open up to me). It kills me to think about how many people I've known who were victims of child molestation. At various points in time, I've lived with three victims. Two of them were suicidal, that I know of. I woke up to to find one crawling across the floor after slitting his wrists (he survived, thank God). The other had a full-blown psychotic break, and becomes down-right dangerous if he isn't on his medication. Obviously, substance abuse also becomes an issue in most of the cases that I've known.

I detest anybody who would do those things to a child. They're monsters.

Ah, yeah I see your point. I went to jump school there. Part of it is probably that the GI's can get rowdy sometimes and the locals just assume the worst when they see someone in uniform.
Still, they ought not bite the hands that feed them, since there's not a whole lot of industry there and without Benning there'd be nothing to support the local economy.

It has been defined by Federal Statute. That is about as legitimate a definition the government can offer.

This was the latest of many reaching and desperate ploys by the GOP to appeal to the extremists within their party.

The GOP has responded to thier failure in the last election by "doubling down" on the strategy that failed them. This is why men like Arlan Spector are abandoning ship.

In "principle" the GOP has a great deal to offer...in practice they rightly appear petty and dishonest, placing strategic goals of the party above all other interests...like the American people. We need a two party system.

With the republicans continuing with negative, dishonest tactics that the American public has already rebuked..well from a balance of power perspective it is like Arnold Swartzeneger and Danny Devito on a see-saw. Nobody is having much fun.

The current direction of the GOP genuinely saddens me.

I read your article the references to the definition is already there . I have looked enough tired of looking I cant prove or disprove there is a definition like that . For a federal bill a definition like above needs to be spelled out not assume the fed follows states definitions.

For a law to be effective the meanings need to be defined. If they are not defined explicitly so, It leaves lawyers and judges discretion to make that call then on the a appeals the to supreme court the whole thing could be easily adverted with a simple definition in the definitions part of the bill .

When you have medical field psychologists and dictionaries stating one definition and a bill being introduced with out a clarification that is different than the medical profession there will be trouble .

I am saddened by both Dem and REP. This is giving the GOP a reason to fight and grand stand and to clear it up the Dems could add one simple sentence would have killed all the games they are playing with each other . The Dem will say GOP are obstructing the bill .The wordings in a definition can mean the difference between a conviction or walking . or even like other bills definitions are as per sec 123,123 of the fed statues problem solved .

I read Huffington Post Fox MSN CNN listen to Rush or Shaw and read NYT wast. post BBC aljazzers plus quite a few more if i find articles worth reading . Every one puts a spin on it . I find the truth is somewhere in the middle very rarely I think one side is totally correct .

In the past 40 years both the GOP and Democratic party have both used and misused language to steer public sentiment and put people on the emotional puppet string for votes.

In like manner ..so have the shills for both political partiess....the media used and misused language to properly stroke thier voters such that they can control them on election day.

This is not a one sided event with the Democrats as the 'VICTIMS' here.

The "Victims" are a very ignorant American public who are pretty much unawares that this puppet string has been attached to them...unknowingly and unwillingly.

The "Victim Dictum" was made popular by Phil Donahue and his talk show on the "Boob Tube." This pattern of exploitation was quickly picked up by a host of copy cats. IT did not go unnoticed by the body politic as a tool to win voters.
Since those times a whole generation of peoples ...now voters...have been raised on the acceptable philosophy/theology of... being an emotional trainwreck entitles one to play through unchallanged and undebated....because you are a "VICTIM."

The news media...the entertainment industry and the music industry are now in bed with the body politic. All of them are willing to use and enhance the "Victim Dictum" for the purposes of selling the souls of the American Public for votes. All of these medias are now one and the same as the body politic.

THe body politics will use any technique behind closed doors ...to win votes or elections....any technique. "They will use or misuse the media, public education , hollywood and the music industry to support/cover up thier techniques.

Use or misuse of language is only one method..used by the body politic. It is indeed a method used often..and the public needs to be aware of it.

I was quite aware of the technique of Mentalus Reservatus..or Mental Reservation used or misused when the now famous statement was uttered on national television..

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

I knew exactly what technique of mind manipulation was being used.
This technique Mentalus Reservatus is often used by politicians and even Priests. Beware!!

The problem is that when you get beat up, it's usually because you got into a fight and not because of your race or orientation. Now, if a black guy is screaming "cracker" at you while beating you up, then you have a case for hate crime.
