Knew that this would spread.

LOL They are saying the couple come from Falkirk, I live in and work around falkirk.

From Twitter.

I'm not understanding why it seems to all be so vauge: either it is or it isn't...I realize that it all takes time to collect and process samples and such but still,it's spreading quickly and one would think that more serious precautions should be in place?

They've just realized that they jump between level 3 and level 4 is too large to be meaningful for preperations. That's what it means.

Hello. Long time lurker that joined the forum because of this topic.

A few words of advice:

Don't fear. Fear itself suppresses the imune system as it is a negative energy. So whatever the fearmongering climate on the mass media try to detune from it. It will help nothing and will only make one more prone to dis-ease.

Eat organic, especially things like onions, lemons, oranges andgarlic. They will rack up the immune system. If fresh they will be more potent.

Don't isolate yourself too much. Being away from loved ones does not help, and not everyone will catch this. The healthier will treat the sicker.

Be vary weary of officially sponsored vaccines. Chances are they will hurt more than help.

And one final comment:

I am pretty sure this is an engineered event, much like many before it. Instead of being scared of it please use it as a learning experience to further understanding of how this human world really works. We're close to critical mass here, a few more people and the tyrants, psychopaths and illness mongerers will be put firmly on the defensive.

Just smile and love and things will blow over. Life has a way of making the biggest gifts appear to be the worse nightmares...

Cheers.

From what we understand about the Swine Flu, you do not want your immune system to be in peak form. It's counterintuitive, I know, but a stronger immune system seems to mean a greater likelihood of severe illness or death. The immune system attacks the body itself when this virus is present, so a stronger immune system is not a good thing.

If any contrary evidence has come to light for any of you, please do post it up. At this point, we're going on the information that has been dispersed thus far.

MSNBC is reporting just now that some 150 students and 10 teachers have mild cases of the swine flu at the St. Francis school.

I'm not sure how reliable that is yet.

Good news = mild cases.

Bad news = highly contagious

Thanks for bringing that up PP, it does seem counter-intuitive, but I have thought that logic dictates that given what they are saying about the healthier being the ones to go. It would be great if someone who is experienced in immunology could address this...

Until then, I am going to happily keep smoking and drinking

PS - Although I think the advice in the thread about Ascorbid Acid (Vit C) should not be ignored either way as it seems to do more than simply 'boost' the immune system.

World "counting down to a pandemic"
uk.news.yahoo.com...

A Chinese virologist who helped fight SARS and bird flu warned on Monday of a possible swine flu pandemic that the most populous countries in Asia, China and India, would be ill-prepared to handle. Skip related content

"We are counting down to a pandemic," said Guan Yi, a professor at the University of Hong Kong who helped trace the outbreak of SARS in 2003 to the civet cat.

"I think the spread of this virus in humans cannot possibly be contained within a short time ... there are already cases in almost every region. The picture is changing every moment."

I agree, from the reports I have been reading through this virus seems to cause the most severe condition in people in prime health.

The better your immune system the more severe the respiratory condition can be?

In fact in some of the cases that ended in death many were in prime health, between the ages of 20-50 years... And the intense immune system reaction caused inflammatory tissue reaction and the lungs to fill with mucous and fluids... An overreaction of the immune system?

It seems to me you would want a very good immune system to not get it hopefully but if you do get it then you would want to shut it down as best as possible to not kill yourself off.

This makes me think we havn't had deaths like Mexico has because of all crap we eat, MSG, Corn Syrup, artifical sweeteners, and all the drugs in our water. Not to mention all of the rampant health issues like smoking and obesity.

In other words we are so unhealthy that the virus is affecting most Americans mildly.
