RFID chip: would you say yes?

RFID chips basically have no security (depending on how they're made). With the right stuff you can duplicate someone else's just by walking by them. You think credit card fraud is bad? Wait until everyone has an RFID chip embeded.

If that happens I have a funny feeling my bar tab will become much lower and everyone else's will go up much higher j/k/

That was quite touching to read, very altruistic; you'd take an 'RFID bullet' for your family.

I renewed my UK passport last year and lo 'n behold, it has an RFID chip. When i use it, i will just smash it with a hammer, fluck 'em. I didn't ask for it, so i have done no wrong, law or no law.

Or i may just put it next to my speakers and blast it with magnetism. A last attempt to protect myself, is to wear a Faraday cage:



The RFID chips on cheese and razor blades, are the low-end stuff, so it's of no concern.

What is a concern is if you go shopping, a person with nefarious intent will put scanners on the door and they can get your primary key ID from your credit card and driving license and collate the two to forge your ID on a new chip. You could then be culpable for anyone buying uranium on your credit card; imagine the hell of trying to disprove your ID with biometric theft!

If anyone hasn't seen Gattaca, i would highly suggest you watch it. It's an excellent film.

In my opinion, there would be many who would make such sacrifices.

You and your son are not paranoid; 'they' really are out to get you!

My belief is that currency will be done away with and each chip will be programmed to accept credits and debits in the form of 'units'.

Credits;

a) for the 'contributions' made by the 'able' individual, ie. work.
b) for the 'needs' of the unable or dependant individual (each alloted according to their needs, the socialists' dream)

Debits;

a) transaction and exchange
b) penury measures for transgression

What I have not discerned is how the 'futures markets', ie, the banksters gambling tables that governments are so keen to contribute our money to, will operated under such a scheme as chipped and pinned humanity.

In a side note:

Oh boy, there is so much stuff to write about RFID chip if you are a science fiction or a cyberpunk author: overwritten identities, mind control, population control, etc. I'm sure that Wiliam Gibson has already explored the subject.

My initial thought was they can do this with new born babies, young childs [by "caring" parrents affraid to loose them] or during vaccination. But i don't think people will buy this if its done unnoticed.[when the children grow up] Or it could be introduced slowly as a new trendy thing, we have a bar in Rotterdam "Baya beach club" [a hooters kind of thing] were you can already implant a chip with a certain credit to pay for your drinks, its called the VIP chip [the same as "chippen", like a digital wallet] the same bar is in Barcelona..
Needless to say i won't allow such a thing, unnoticed or not, maybe people can use EMP things or defibrilators [like in mission impossibe 3] which are present at every trainstation nowadays to shut it down..If governments really announce this, its time to rise up...

I wonder where they want to place that chip cause in those baja bars it is the same procedure to take 'm out as to implant them..00h and if it is a satellite central in the RFID logistics, maybe we should take that down as well..

you raging violent, or turn you into a docile and tired sheep.. and they
can send frequencies into your nervous system that will cause you to
experience terrible electric agony.

No way will I allow this evil entrapment inside my body!

Take chip, go into hospital, let my friend the cat scan handle the rest. Oooh baby, that thing would come flying out of me.

Seriously, how are you going to have these chips when every single medical thing will result in surgery to remove it first.

You would be detected at airport security. It basically makes smuggling a bomb as easy as replacing the chip with some pounds of c4 and a strong base. Sacrifice your body to Allah by releasing the base and letting it eat through you, taking the c4 out, and BOOM!!!

I think you meant the MRI (not CT-scan). Now that would DEFINITELY wreck the chip! I can't have MRIs because of my implants but I can have CT-scans.

But each has its own specialty purpose, so you would have to remove the chip. And are you sure the government is willing to believe that every doctor won;t take a bribe to remove it? And are you sure the government has the power to stop hackers from making it a blank chip? (something that will pass security, but leave no ID, or a fake one if anything) And the possible mass black market that will exist there in which between doctor, programmer, and patient?

hahah i think if we had rfid chips it would most likly be to track us so we can be contained easier and be executed for pop control. but hell naw i aint taking no f##king chip i dont care who the # famous takes it. if jesus came back and said it was okay i still wouldntdo that stupid stuff

Well I never got population control. The more dumb people the more workers you have. The fewer, the slower a nation goes.

I have said this before and I am going to say it again. The only way anybody will ever get one of those chips in me is if they kill me first. I will never allow one of them into my body. Never. You will have to kill me first. Yes I would die before I ever allowed a chip into my body.
