I'll happily talk to you. I just don't know what we'll talk about. Arguing against another persons beliefs is an exercise in futility. To argue against a specific case, now that has tangible merit!

Whether you choose to believe it or not I greatly enjoy talking with people that are deeply skeptical. Unfortunately most of my professional colleagues are what I would call disbelievers. They don't offer explanations. They disbelieve on faith rather than on anything they know for fact. This is not only frustrating it's boring. They refuse to confront cases that are put in front of them.

Skeptics, on the other hand, are far cry from a disbelievers. They have an explanation to backup their disbelief.

I hope you change your mind. I honestly would like to hear your take on that case.

Have you ever googled that case to see that debunking already done? Why don't you tell me what problems you have with the explanations?

This isn't really the thread to discuss this. If you've had a change of heart and would like to have a go at it. Please pop on over in to the other thread and I'll happily discuss with you.

Well, yeah, basically if it used earthly technology I'm pretty sure I would at least recognize it. We know only two ways to keep something in the air and only one of them allows a silent motionless hover. I've been saying it was close because that was our best look at it but when we first saw it it was much further away and much higher. There was wind also. Not only did it hover in complete defiance of the wind it disappeared in the distance going against the wind. It was also more or less following the Intracoastal Waterway towards South Carolina. If you can tell me what earthly technology can hang a Greyhound bus festooned with lights in the sky with no sound then I might be willing to consider the possibility it was man made.

I think this discussion should be here. The so called challenge has been debunked and rightfully so, I too would like to hear your argument?

The Germans were working on anti grav tech from the 30's with success! I find it interesting that when the war was over and numerous scientist were taken to other countries sightings increased to insane amounts.

What "success" would that be?

i have seen three ufo's.

two were while surfing in carlsbad, ca.. one morning. one at dusk. silver ships faster than anything i have ever seen. silent. stop. go. typical story.

the last one is up on palomar mountain. everyone up there knows. i lived up there for three months then was shown where to go. book a room at the lodge. the pavement ends where the parking lot is. take the right road and stop before the first cabin on the left. be careful its about a mile down on the right. theres a safety rail. after around 1am or so ab object comes down and floats. there are lights on the ground around the hills you can see from up there. it stays in this circle. it stays just until before dawn and fly's off.. up. lol. unknown military ufo? sure. unknown technology defiantly.. outer space meeting point? hey your guess is as good as mine.. but i watched it hover silently glowing for hours.. just as everyone said it would be.. the proof is out there.. tesla technology is real. the odds of us being alone in the universe is covered by religious dogma and it would snap the mind of the average person..

just be respectful. its a close knit community up there. you could rent a room and walk there at night. not even a quarter mile. bring your camera or you will end up sounding like the rest of us.. lol.

or you could hang out in the ocean.

"or you could hang out in the ocean."

I lived in San Diego for three years and five years in L.A. prior to that. Loved SoCal. Great place to keep all your nuts in one basket.

You must stand back and look at the whole painting. One UFO incident is not enough to see the whole truth. Here are a few interesting points I'd like to mention that prove the technology involved is physically possible and tangible. Note: I do not care whether the occupants are little green men or government pilots.

1.) Some UFO incidents involve crafts sucking up large amounts of water, sometimes more than the craft's mass. Likely explanation is deuterium extraction for energy production. I suspect they use some sort of Deuterium fusion.

2.) Smell of sulfur has been reported. - Likely explanation: Expelled waste product from power generation which may involve fusion. Our sun is a perfect example which contains various elements like Si, Ni, Fe, He, H AND Sulfur (S)!

One can make a thermite mixture that closely resembles our sun's composition. Sulfur can be added to thermite for extra power. Encase it in Deuterium(D2) and watch D2 absorption and its reactants...never mind, that is another topic.

3.) Silent flight, high speeds, and their luminous properties are indicative of a high electrically charged vessel. Ion propulsion is a real technology and has been used by NASA, although limited due to power conservation. ..Note: don't rely on NASA for scientific truth regarding UFOs and solar physics.

Can you imagine what kind of flight characteristics your spaceship can have if the power generator is a "star in a bottle" (almost limitless electricity).

Take a scrabble box. Find three letters without looking. Put them down. If they don't spell "UFO", put them back and pull out three more. Do that until you finally get "UFO". Then proudly proclaim, "Here's proof!"

Hey, I like Scrabble! Sorry for the word overuse. One last point to make out and this one is very telling..

4.) Molten metal (pure Mg) was observed dripping from crafts in various reports. Does anyone know of other elements that were found?

Gawdzilla,

Ask yourself; Are the witness observations listed just coincidental or a result of "advanced technology"?

Which is more likely? You think some alien spacecraft is running around, you'll see it, there's not stopping you. Not even if it's not there.

Question for believers, how many sighting have happened where the viewers were immediately isolated and questioned as to what they saw, and the results analyzed? And how many "witnesses" were interviewed after they'd had time to decide that they'd seen something really, really cool and had heard from friends or on the news that there were reports of UFOs in the area?

In other words, the sample is tainted.

If you can't find yourself to believe credible and reputable witnesses such as airplane pilots, astronauts, police and military, .. why have this discussion?

I don't seem to be having a conversation. Even when I point out that hearsay evidence is useless the message doesn't seem to get across. Zealots will refuse to hear what they don't want to hear.

I can understand that my explanations are mostly speculation but they fit the physical observations. I am hardly worthy of the title you have given me. Science is mainly based on tests and physical observations. My explanations are scientifically valid unlike the assumption that all UFO witnesses are deluded regardless of background and surrounding facts.

What do they say about the word 'assume'? It makes an ASS out of U and ME.

Then stop making assumptions based on observational bias. And repeating trite homilies like they mean something.

I don't assume anything nor have that luxury. Many different factors are considered before arriving to a conclusion or theory. Even if I am proven wrong in the future with new evidence, knowledge is gained and progress is achieved. The scientific method wins either way.

You, my friend, appear to have formed a conclusion before honestly reviewing anything. Labeling everyone deluded will not change the fact there is trace evidence and reliable (professionally trained) witnesses. Your assumptions may be comforting for you but accomplishes nothing.
