Follow the Beast? isn't that the name of Obama's car?

Sounds suspect to me.

I give up, I'm trying to have a discussion with people who see the world through a computer monitor and take pride in being able to type an opinion that they see as fact because a conspiracy website told them so. I'd just be interested to know who'd you go running to if god forbid you or a member of your family was the victim of a serious crime. would the police still be the enemy or would all of a sudden they're great protectors...fickle people with fickle views that change like the weather

I understand saxon

Videos on the bbc which show the incident where the police get lumped with the pole. What happened first was a protester was grabbed by one of the police for goading them, they start to beat him, and someone storms in and de-arrests him. y'see, it's all about context.

And please don't lump me with the people who hide behind their screens. i frequently go on protests, i was at the G20 march on saturday, but due to work commitments I couldn't do today. Otherwise i would have been there

I'm watching the Knightsbridge press conference with Sarkozy and the German chancellor....for God's sake sack that woman translator!!!

She really doesn't get the fact that she's live on telly does she....moaning live on air and calling it ridiculous lol!

Well so much for the storming of the banks this afternoon. How do you think this will be viewed by protesters today, a success or a bit of a flop?

I don't mean a bank storming would have made it a good day lol, i just feel that it's all been a bit of an anti-climax and that some of the protesters have made idiots of themselves rather than made a point.

All the protesters that have smashed things up today have done, is added thousands of pounds to taxpayers bills, and ensured that next time the police have an excuse to turn up in force again.

I appreciate that people think it could be the police putting the windows through at RBS, i mean it does make you wonder why they stood back and let it hapen when they are supposed to protect property.

Thumbs up to the protesters drinking tea with the cops elsewhere. There it is again....the great British cuppa doing it's good work in the background once again!

As opposed to the 7 MILLION pounds of tax payers money it cost to send the police out today (why it's 7 million more than their usual wage is well beyond me)

A few grands worth of damage is a drop in the ocean in comparrison.

I wouldn't worry about it too much saxon, there are many here on ATS that would speak ill of the police no matter what they did, and yes you are right, if thier familes were in danger the police would be the first ones they they call.

I don't agree with everything the police do, but i know they do a lot of good too.

Unfortunately some people are completely blinkered, whether thats by their own experiences or from going purely on what they read here.

People here talk about the sheeple? I think it's far more sheep like to be unwilling to see both sides of the coin.

let me explain how the world works.

More officers needed than are on normally on duty= overtime wages
Other forces needed to be bussed in=transport costs
supply officers with protective equipment= equipment costs

Back home now and back on to the BBC.

Just shown an interview with a young protester who was saying he was being kicked while sat peacefully on the ground.

It does look like some people are trying to wind up and provoke the police now though!

I could hear shouts of F*** the police and there was also footage of a stereotypically crusty treehugger clearly provoking the police line. They seemed to be acting proportionately and assertively despite this Leveller-a-like's attempt at fame by trying to get his head kicked in on live TV.

Peace,

MGGG

Ok, firstly as you might be able to tell... i'm new here, greetings one & all! However, like many of you, realised long ago that this world of ours is in trouble. Trouble of our own making. So again probably like many of you I embarked on a journey that will no doubt continue until my dying day. I for one want to make a difference for the good of our planet, our people & our universe. So, I read........ lots!
Upon hearing of the supposed camera problem ahead of the G20 summit I became a lil fearful for our brothers & sisters out there on the frontline. I know they in the hearts want a change for the better but is this really the way to go about it? Where in the end do these protests/demonstrations get us? Those of us that have spent hardly any time at all reading-up know that government are quite happy for us to protest/demonstrate against them. In the end nothing will change because of it, we must all surely know this by now?
The very fact that so many of us are active on this site & others means there are a great number of like-minded peope out there. People that in the main feel as though they're fighting an overwhelming force. We're not. They simply have our minds conditioned to think that way. I read an earlier post stating how much they have our minds distracted, every single day so all knowledge of self is gone. We've lost our minds. Time to get them back. The key as I am learning is to change your thoughts. It's the only way out of the hole we're in & those in control know this so are quite happy for us to protest up until the day we're quietened for good. We've a job to do people. Every single one of us. In the name of our Divine Creator.
If you haven't already, read George Green's 'Handbook for the New Paradigm' & let's do this thing. Its our responsibility.

LOVE

which all comes to over 7 million? BULL#

Still a drop in the ocean for the couple of grands worth of windows. And if you add that over 7 million, to the countless BILLIONS that the bankers have STOLEN from us, then it's even less significant.

These protesters are national heros, in time they'll be seen as the ones who led the revolution to freedom and a true democracy. We've a long way to go, but they're gonna get there. People power all the way.

7 million quid on an event that could of taken palce on some desert island for cheaper. The police get paid to just stand there, and they get paid fortunes.

Pure scum.

I'm struggling to find some myself now. Had to turn the news channel off :-(

Trying online but not really getting anywhere - just looking at the text based updates from the beeb now. If it's starting to get edgey then this is when I think it's fair to say that a lot of the MSM new channels may well start to focus on other things...leaving the nasty stuff alone until they are told what angle to take on it.

Peace,

MGGG

I've got semi live updates from people who are there, posting on another forum. I will relay what they say.

Apparently all is well at the climate camp

edit to say, I might even have some conspiracy tastic gossip. I'm waiting on a response to my question before I say anything.

Also, something interesting to add ...

My colleague on the opposite side of the office (his view faces central London so he can see the skies over central) informed me of "black helicopters" that he could see circling in the sky around central at around 10am. I asked him if they were in anyway marked and he said that he did not recall any markings.

I have no reason to doubt the validity of his claims but obviously no pics or anything ...

Anyone else seen similar?

One of the Sky News Choppers is actually black with no markings... Which in itself is some kind of breach IMHO but yeah.
