Just days away from 6,000,000 posts!!!

Howdy fellow ATSers.

According to the latest count in the "stats" page:

Total posts: 5,945,424

So it looks like we're going to be hitting 6,000,000 posts in a few days.

That is indeed an impressive number of times each of us has chosen to share our thoughts, ideas, opinions, theories, beliefs, sarcasms, criticisms, etc, with each other.

Some of us pick our spots to post and some like myself just blab on endlessly.

No matter what though, it is through this shared experience that we and the staff have made ATS what it is today.

So to the oldz and the n00bs, a toast on reaching yet another great milestone!

PS. I think last time when we were close to 5,000,000 posts we had a chance to play a little guessing game as to the day the milestone would be reached and a little gift for the 5,000,000th poster. Perhaps the staff will indulge us once more and let us play again.

I'm up for participating in a guessing thread about when, what part of the site, which forum, and all that, pertaining to the passing of the 6,000,000th post!

What, a 500 point award? And a SUPER-MEGA bonus, if someone actually guesses the member who achieves it!?!

We can build it, we have the technology. Stronger, faster, more capable than any other thread in history!

I wonder if there is going to be a contest like the 5 million post mark. If you can guess who and in what thread the 6 millionth post is in you get a ton of points.

I think We should make an Award for the 6th mill poster. Called the Steve Austin Award(no not stone cold steve). Steve Austin from the 6 million Dollar man, he was an Astronaut, involved in a Government experiment using top secret Technology(that may have been alien....you never know, come on, work with me.) So I think it all ties in with ATS 6 millionth post.
What do you think?

Hi folks, as of today we're up to:

Total posts: 5,947,737

I'm still awaiting confirmation from staff to see if we can make our little guessing game worth a couple of points but even if we can't I think it will still be fun to play along.

So if anyone wants to guess the date we will hit 6,000,000 go right ahead, I will keep track of everyone's guesses.

Would be fun to make it into a little contest wouldn't it.
And reference to the 6th Million Dollar Man is great!
