This reminds me of the movie Appaloosa....a great movie. Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen fight for a town against corrupt ranchers who control the bankers!

I wonder if they did not get the idea from Mack?

You know, this could be the answer, truely! We cant fight and break the law...and win. They will put us in jail. But if we get a new Sheriff, and
(as in the movie) the Sheriff makes the rules, we could fight with him!

Star and flag! Great thread. I hope the word gets out! What we need are for honest people to run for the office. You don't have to have any law enforcement experience to run. And you can learn on the job. We send our deputies to the state police academy. There is no reason a new sherrif can't do the same thing. The most important thing is that the sherrif be honest, and know the actual duties of the office. And it might be a good thing to bring that out in the campaign.
