The next one is a photo I took of Brisbane city one evening while I was waiting for the ferry home. The sunset had made the sky very orange, which reflected off the river and made the whole city and park lands (across the river, not shown) look wonderfully sepia.

Love Brissie...have a few friends who live there and will be returning with the wife and kids for a family holiday there and the Gold Coast early December.

Last time we were in Brissie wife and I went for a night time cruise on the ferry...mid winter apparently, everyone is jacketted up to the max but I'm standing in line in shorts and a t-shirt...

"You're a kiwi aren't you?" asked one guy waiting in line...

"Yeah bro, how'd you guess?" I ask...

"Oh...just a lucky observation..."

Not much of a GC fan myself (I lived on the Sunshine Coast for 3 years and am a bit bias), but Brisbane does alright. I'm from NZ originally as well (North Island, pretty much every major city and a couple of random places that are barely towns). I can deal with winter here fine as it's really not that different to summer where I grew up, but standing on the front decks of those ferries in June can get a bit much without a good coat. I definitely think I've gotten weaker since moving here. :p

Here's a pic of my kids (well, stepkids, but I call them my kids)...18 and 19 respectively.
Sadly, this pic was taken before he put on his boots, which look a lot more "country" than what he's wearing here...

This was right before we all did a lot of hard work yesterday. Both are city slickers, adapting to life on the ranch.

Recent one of me and the game changer!!

My wife and I met William Shatner recently. (as for dress, I'm dressed as "Harry Dresden" from the Dresden Files books (my avatar is the guy who played him on the TV show), and my wife is dressed as a Merlotte's waitress from True Blood). Was at DragonCon. He's actually a much more down to Earth guy than you'd imagine. (and we're both ranchers, so had that in common).
