As a believer in ET life, the tether incident has been debunked countless times. Have you not read the information provided here on ATS regarding the STS-75 incident? If you read through the threads, I'm pretty sure you'd realize that there's nothing abnormal going on in that video.

Aside from that, I like your list. 9/11 and Roswell are defiantely 2 of the largest conspiracies ever faced. One can only hope that someday we will know the absolute truth behind these events.

If I may clarify that I myself and others are not here on this thread to debate our choices we made, rather than add exactly what the OP wanted us to do and that was to write down what we personally thought are/were the top conspiracies of all time.

The tether incident in my opinion should fit under the umbrella of NASA conspiring to hide extraterrestrial intelligence from the general public conspiracy.

No problem. I apologize if it seemed as if I was veering off track. I was simply responding to your opinion regarding the OP, as that's what this board is all about. I agree though, we need not break off into another discussion. I guess I should have sourced my information and made it clear that I wasn't looking for a debate, rather than producing an argumentative statement. Afterall, this thread is asking for a specific question to be answered. I stand corrected, and I appreciate your honest response. My apologies, FSF.

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER...

(These are only my personal theories, also I don't know how you would categorise some of them as there are conspiracies within some of these and some of tem (or all, wooo) are intertwined)...

1 - 9/11 (the sum total of all the anomalies and unanswered questions)

2 - Secret/Shadow Government/Bildeberg/Trilateral (quotes from past presidents would be your starting point) "divide and conquer theory"

3 - JFK assassination (part of the shadow government theory perhaps)

4 - The rise of Christianity / supression of the real christ

5 - Political influence of the media

6 - ET Disclosure

7 - Corporate shelving (no not as in "shelving from Homebase" but) buying patents for ridiculous money from inventors and never releasing them (ultra lasting paint/non-rusting agents, electric cars, zero point energy harnessing etc etc)

8 - Petro-Dollar (if this isn't a conspiracy theory thats already defined then it bloody well should be!)

9 - Princess Diana Murder

10 - Three Secrets of Fatima

One of the challenges of proving a conspiracy or exposing a conspiracy is the coalescing of information revealed or discerned over time and linking the various knowledge bits together.

The linear form of forum discussions hinders this summation as was discussed in this brief thread. While it may be a long way off - the realignment and connecting of data bits that are interrelated is a challenge that needs re-invention.

Perhaps the greatest conspiracy of all is the withholding of capabilities that if shared would allow us a better means of communicating and organizing information. Technology and knowledge hidden from the world maintains dominance by the few over the many and is a conscious choice to ensure servitude. The pieces are here. The discoveries are merely scattered which aids those who would conspire. Conspiracies are not an illusion- they are commonplace. The only difference between conspiracy and collaboration is the ethics applied to the means and the end.

Peace and thanks for initiating this effort.

[1]The Extent of Government and Corporate Corruption as a whole, ie: Their compulsive lying; Bailouts; 9/11; Power Distribution (domestic and foreign); The monetary system; Rigging of elections; The war on drugs; "Opposing" parties actually being no different than their opposition etc etc etc...

[2]Religion: brain washing and control of the masses (eg. the promise of heaven or damnation in hell; scripture being edited eg. reincarnation in Christianity), and the similarities all religions share despite their efforts to convert or destroy each other.

[3]UFO's and USO: Sightings (and the subsequent effect it had on the population); technology; origin and alien presence.

I would have also included UFO & USO sightings in ancient times, but despite the evidence, it can (and is) construed as being the product of fertile and imaginative minds, seeing/hearing natural phenomena (eg. meteors & earth quakes) and believing it to be the supernatural (ie. their gods).
