Can a president be impeached for sheer incompetence? If so, Obama should be impeached at the end of his 100 day 'honeymoon'.

Today marks Day 50 of his administration. In that short period of time, he has managed to commit almost a blunder a day. If he were to receive a mid-term grade, it would be a solid F.

Some of his more egregious blunders:

During the first month of his administration, he spent more than Bush did on two wars, and Katrina relief and rebuilding

He has committed diplomatic blunders with UK PM Gordon Brown

He has proposed taxes that will cause an inflationary spiral, when imposed

He has committed to an assault weapon ban

He has targeted private citizens for disagreeing with his policies

He has broken campaign promises on hiring lobbyists

He has broken campaign promises on stopping partisanship

He has used porkulus and earmarks to pay back his political cronies

He has supported the Card Check bill, which eliminates the secret ballot in union votes

He has proposed sitting down with the Taliban

He wants to plunge this nation into a socialist economy.

He is losing support from the electorate every day. Even his loudest supporters are abandoning him. It won't be long before the Democratic Congress turns against him, as the 2010 elections approach.

People were warned about his lack of experience. His incompetence, however, outdoes any lack thereof.

Probably not. If that had been the case we would have had 2 impeachments in the last 12 years.

Isn't that a little early? Wouldn't a mid term be about Jan. 2011?

Wouldn't you say that past administrative actions lead to this inevitability?

He has committed diplomatic blunders with UK PM Gordon Brown

Some see it as a blunder, some as him concentrating on serious domestic issues.

He has proposed taxes that will cause an inflationary spiral, when imposed

He has committed to an assault weapon ban

Links please.

He has targeted private citizens for disagreeing with his policies

Rush is far from a "private citizen".

He has broken campaign promises on hiring lobbyists

He has broken campaign promises on stopping partisanship

No surprise there. All politicians do that.

*snip*

He has proposed sitting down with the Taliban

Well bullets don't work. Ask the Soviets.

He wants to plunge this nation into a socialist economy.

That's just fear mongering imo.

He is losing support from the electorate every day. Even his loudest supporters are abandoning him. It won't be long before the Democratic Congress turns against him, as the 2010 elections approach.

As predicted. He came in at the lowest point in GOP history imo. Of course his #'s were going to drop. Congress turning against him? Unlikely.

I see you have no sources whatsoever at all for these ridiculous allegations, but I just wanted to let people know about the disinfo and outright lies that the Republican party is spreading about the Employee Free Choice Act. Then you can carry on with your Bash Obama thread.

Good luck getting him impeached.

Not True.

Key Facts about EFCA

Corporate front groups have mounted a massive campaign to block the Employee Free Choice Act. ... The core of their campaign is lies and distortions about the Employee Free Choice Act—especially the lie that it takes away “secret ballot” elections. In fact, the act would let workers choose whether to decide on a union through majority sign-up or an election.

It's all about choice. But see, the corporate big wigs don't want their employees to have so much power (to form a union) so they're making it look like they have sympathy with the workers. That right there should be a giveaway.

I agree completely, I just wonder if anyone is aware that at this junction with everything hes passed, ONE household is responsible for 30,000 dollars attributed to his bill.........by the time the end of the year comes, if the rest of this stuff hes proposing gets through, each household will be yearly 80,000 dollars in debt.......yes you read that right, each household will be accountable for 80,000 dollars just to cover all this crap hes passing.....

Is that what you voted for? Is this how we stimulate the economy? How do you spend money if you are in debt? WAKE UP AMERICA

I love how you lib asks for facts, just as an excuse. When presented with facts, you either outright disregard them as false, or ignore them completely because it doesnt jive with what you subscribe to.

Im happy, im glad you have all the people in office that you do. Im glad obama is president, and hes got hillary and pelosi, i love it. Because when this whole thing goes down, you wont have anyone to blame but yourselves, oh ,but youll try......

P.S Ive been reading alot of NY times, CNN, Fox News, there seems to be a lot of buyers remorse all the way around for voting for this guy, pretty telling.

Deny Ignorance indeed

I read your post with great interest, however I do have a question. You stated that:

"Even his loudest supporters are abandoning him. "

Are there any specific examples of his supporters abandoning him? I was not aware of that. Or, are you simply referring to citizens who initially supported Obama and voted for him are now having "buyers remorse"?

PS

If Ashton and Demi have their way, we'll all be Obamatons whether we like it or not.

One could argue that opinion draped as fact because it's something that YOU "subscribe to" is ignorance as well. Btw, why are you throwing around labels? In my case you would be wrong. I'm conservative and, wait for it........... NOT AMERICAN. I can read and make up my mind on issues though. You should try it sometime. It's liberating. Really!!!

I doubt it.
I precident has already been set with bush. He was the most incompetent most corrupt president in US history and he wasn't impeached so I doubt obama could be.

OK I'm not a liberal but I just had to post based on the above response.
Asking for facts is an excuse????
Seriously, you may want to edit that out of your post.
The only reason this thread should be taken seriously is IF the OP posted facts.

See that's the nice thing about facts. You can't say they aren't facts if they are facts

Are you aware of what was going on with the US economy over the last few years of the bush administration which caused the situation we're in now? Basically it's like blaming the guy who's bailing the water out of the sinking raft, for not bailing fast enough or the right way after someone else put the hole in the raft.

P.S Ive been reading alot of NY times, CNN, Fox News, there seems to be a lot of buyers remorse all the way around for voting for this guy, pretty telling.

Really? Do you have any links?
The only people that seem to be having remorse or those who didn't want him as president such as the racist, drug addict, rush limbough. I'm not sure who gave limbough a podium to speak from but the only podium he's qualified to speak from is at the McDonald's drive through.

That is true, Intrepid. You do look upon our issues with objectivity.

However, I'd bet that if we US citizens were discussing Canadian politics, it would be much easier to be objective and not get emotionally involved in, since it wouldn't affect us directly.

actually they ARE facts, like i said read a newspaper, watch the news. And LIBS isnt a label, liberals are exactly that. Im conservative, its not a label its what i am.

It has nothing to do with subscribing to anything, I read, I watch. I decide for myself, just like I spent days pouring over this stimulus package, to see what was in it. Im willing to bet many of his great defenders did no such thing or they would be just as upset as his former supporters.

So Mr.Moderator, dont accuse me of anything but stating what is! Have a fantastic day guys.

In reply ill make it short. Im not going to waste my time putting up links to the facts that are easily googled.

Im very aware of whats going on in the economy and im also very aware that the Mr.Obama has made it alot worse than it was.....you dont have to believe anything i say, or report, or any of the facts. Just wait, it will all become clear really soon.

Try doing some research bud, everything the OP posted is true, even the liberal media is reporting it.

That's the crunch J. Our politics, as banal as they are, really don't affect Americans. American politics affect us quite a bit. That's why non-Americans take such an interest in them. That and ours are just too damn boring.

I am accused at not providing facts, or links. It is not necessary in many cases, as you well know. It is a fact that he proposed sitting down with the Taliban, that he supports the card check bill, that he is in favor of an assault weapon ban, that he has spent more, that he has hired lobbyists, etc. etc. These have all been in the headlines over the past 2 months.

The only reason links' are being asked for is a stalling technique.

The only statement that might be argued is the last one. But even there, the evidence is overwhelming.

you're kidding - right?
all of the horrible destructive mess and bad choices
that the last administration brought upon this world -
And you can ask this question - at this time?
Priceless.

Then obviously you're not interested in discussing those facts here on this thread.

I might believe you if you posted something more then your opinion.

Try doing some research bud,

Try participating in the thread, "BUD" by backing up your statements. The only reason I can think that you may not want to back up your statements is that you're only interested obama bashing.

everything the OP posted is true, even the liberal media is reporting it.

But we have no way of knowing his posts are true unless we decide to do the research for the OP.

It's easy being pedantic from thousands of miles away ... like me ... but your President has to be both impeached by the House of Representatives and convicted by the Senate on a charge of bribery, treason or other high crimes & misdemeanours before he can be removed from office.

And with strong Democrat representation in both Houses, the chances of him being tossed out of office because of incompetence are, at best, remote.

He can't be impeached, but the congress can hold a vote of no confidence. The vote of no confidence doesn't really accomplish anything, the only thing it does do is tell the world that we can't legally do anything about him, but we no longer stand behind him or support what he is doing, and it should be viewed as a formal request to resign.

I'm not really worried about it to be completely honest. The dems will fall apart like they always do, and most of his policies will get ruled as unconstitutional. He isn't going to be able to implement 3/4 of the policies that he wants too even though he is trying too.

1) We don't have the money
2) Once the details emerge people will turn on him

Just give it some time, people think they bought the greatest president to ever walk the face of the earth, but what they really got was a great orator with no substance and no ideas and a bunch of empty campaign promises.
