Rush to the President: Debate Me

It's all politics guys, nothing more, nothing less. Well, add ratings to that, if this was not increasing the ratings do you really think Rush Limbaugh would continue with the same path?

It also divides people, which is what politics feels like to me these days.

Divide and conquer, and well, American's are being divided in many different sections these days. If it is not political division, it is religious division, if it is not one of those it's race, if not that then ...........

Rush is very good at figuring out which buttons he should be pushing at any particular time to cause more division in the population. Please don't take that as me saying he's the only one who does so, it's done from all fronts.

Peace, and please don't let politics add any more division between the people of this wonderful country than we already have.

None of those have been implemented so your are lying. Regardless of what you hear him say or what folks told you none of those have gone through as of yet.

Now Ill ask you again, why dont you make Rush limbaugh your nominee if he is your leader?

If Limbaugh himself were to coin a phrase for it, he might call it Operation Rushbo – an idea that started out simply enough but quickly proved to be deeply resonant by a rapid succession of events, say Democrats inside and outside the West Wing.

The seeds were planted in October after Democracy Corps, the Democratic polling company run by Carville and Greenberg, included Limbaugh’s name in a survey and found that many Americans just don’t like him.

“His positives for voters under 40 was 11 percent,” Carville recalled with a degree of amazement, alluding to a question about whether voters had a positive or negative view of the talk show host.

But liberals quickly realized that trying to drive a wedge between congressional Republicans and Limbaugh was unlikely to work, and their better move was to paint the GOP as beholden to the talk show host.

This was driven home to them, according to one Democrat, when Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.) took a shot at Limbaugh in late January only to appear on his program the next day and plead having momentarily had “foot-in-mouth disease.”

By February, Carville and Begala were pounding on Limbaugh frequently in their appearances on CNN.

Neither Democrat would say so, but a third source said the two also began pushing the idea of targeting Limbaugh in their daily phone conversations with Emanuel.

Amazing these people are nasty and pure evil.

Media Matters, the left-leaning media watchdog and advocacy group, began a “Limbaugh Wire” web-site Tuesday to track him. “For a long time Americans haven’t really been aware that he’s so influential,” said Eric Burns, the group’s president.

Democrats are now working hard to ensure that changes.

“He’s driving the Republican reluctance to deal with Obama, which Americans want,” said Greenberg. “He’s the policeman [keeping them in line].”

They’ll all get a fresh hook for the story after Wednesday, when a Democratic polling firm goes into the field to test, among other things, Limbaugh’s standing with the public.

All the attention only offers upside for the buzz-hungry Limbaugh, said Carville.

“The television cameras just can’t stay away from him,” Carville said Tuesday, a day when cable news played images of Limbaugh seemingly on a loop. “Our strategy depends on him keeping talking, and I think we’re going to succeed.”

As far as the drugs comments go, they don't compare.

Rush made a LIVING railing on drug users. All the while he was HIDING the fact that he was addicted to pills. Obama was forthcoming with the fact he has experimented with drugs.
Anyone have any evidence to suggest Obama still uses? If not, I would hardly call him a crack head. Hell, if we applied these standards, EVERYONE in the country is a crack head.

At any rate, I can't stand either of these clowns. But I really hate Limbaugh.

Rush has said in the past drug users need to be executed. Obama and Clinton never said that. Also, Rush goes to a country known for child prostitution with viagra in an unlabled bottle... Yeah, not suspicious in any way.

In Obama's book he said he used drugs...but nowhere in the book or since did he ever say he stopped using them?

Obama hasn't engaged Limbaugh at all. Limbaugh is just claiming that the White House is behind all the media attention he's been getting.

Obama's adminstration has certainly "engaged" Limbaugh. They have gone out of their way to mention him by name. Did you know that Rahm Emmanual is the President's Chief of Staff? Did you know that Gibbs is the President's spokesman to the press? Did you know that they both keep "engaging" rush? Get some facts straight.

Your other comments are such a twisting of the truth as to be unworthy of a response.

BTW... when the WH press corps asks a question about Limbaugh, the Press Secretary kind of has to speak to it. Same goes for the Chief of Staff.

So... I reiterate... when Rush tells the head of the GOP to kill himself, he's going to get a lot of press. And it that is his own doing. And it also happens to be a perfect and untwisted truth.

To be honest, this is one debate I would love to see.

this would not be a debate, a debate would include a time limit for each person, uninterrupted. questions would be given before hand, so one party can research as much as the other party. if a point is stated as fact, there would have to be verfication, if a point is stated as an opinion, it would have to be stated as such. no name-calling, no hyperbolic put-down of one party to another.

rush cannot do this, he is incapable of operating this way. why do i say this? because when he use to be a song jockey up in sacramento, calif. he tried argueing with people on the air about politics and he would simply cut them off when he could not answer a question. if you notice he does not have guests on, that challange his way of thinking, with the fair limitations posted above.

Seriously? When did ATS become such a republican rally hangout? I've seen so much Obama bashing lately that I am frankly embarrassed to send any links to any ATS forums to friends for fear that they will be turned off by all of it and think ill of me for being involved in such a increasingly hate filled website.

Keep in mind he's only been in office a little less than 2 months, honestly it's gonna take time for him or anyone to undo the damage done by the Bush administration.

I think he should be given at least a small chance, before everyone starts gnashing their teeth and crying for blood. AND FOR REAL??? RUSH??? How the hell is it that he has so many supporters on here?

It is Obama's White House that declared Rush the leader of the party. Since when do the democrats pick the GOP nominee?

Secondly, nobody can "make" someone else be a party's nominee. They have to run. Rush isn't running.

Is that a little more clear now?
