I already posted my experience with a ufo so I will just post it here if you are interested
MY experience with possible ufo

I thought I would just jot down briefly what I saw once which could possibly be a ufo ill just relay it and let anyone comment I was always looking for proof of aliens

I was nursing in the feb or march of last year of a injured cat who didn’t seem to be used to people who I eventually got to nurse outside and in the last few weeks sat on my lap outside my back door for a few hours a night who I got to then rehome --he didn’t seem to be too injured in the end just hungry and without a home
When one day at 10.40 pm ish on the26th march when he was curled u on my lap outside while I was sitting on the cold concrete I saw in the only position I could have possibly saw it due to where I was sitting a fiery disk --fire trail leaving behind it seemed to be on fire so I could see it out to my left
I forgot to tell you it was over a residential area and was only about 100 to 200 feet above the ground

When I was 10, I heard a loud buzzing sound like in the movies.
Went on the Apartment roof, I thought I was there for 10 minutes
my brother reckons I was gone an Hour. No recollection of being
probed or bug eyed beings or anything.
When I looked the next day, a Power Transformer was being repaired.

I must have just lost track of time, simple.

I saw three UFO's in quick succession, had no camera and no time to get one. I think people often underestimate the shock factor of seeing a UFO too. I imagine even if you had a camera it would be quite hard to get your head together enough, quick enough, to capture it. In any case, as can be seen here, photographic or video evidence is often dismissed so there sometimes seems little point in wasting a good sighting by fumbling about with a camera, trying to locate something in the viewfinder. IMO. That said, for prolonged sightings, obviously, I would try to capture it at some point. Just think of how many sightings world wide there must have been that aren't actually captured on film? Wow.

yup I have x3 sightings in the past 10 years and on each occasion didn't have a camera or a mobile phone with a good enough camera in it to get any evidence..... I have posted on ATS about my previous experiences but had no evidence to back it up so they just vansihed into the ether....

The only piece of evidence I have for one of the sightings is the testimony from a Friend that was with me on one of the nights but he was pissed as in the back of the car passed out and missed the whole thing as I tore arse around the lake following a mysterious red light in the sky....

but now i have a quality mobile phone and always have it ready to go incase I catch something again in the future....

I remember a few years back I was walking back to my house from my car at night and all of a sudden the entire sky flashes a bright purple/light lavander color. To the point where I could see the clouds in the dark sky. it lasted for a few seconds and then retunred to normal...i must have sat outside for a good half an hour trying to figure it out what just happened.

but other than that im always checking out the skies to see anything I dont recognize as a plane or satelite.

Good thread

I saw something massive, inexplicable and unexplained in 2002. No-one believed me at the time. Indeed, the first time I spoke about it since was on ATS, in this thread: The Truth is Out There

I haven't heard of any similar sightings, which intrigues me more than anything. I was near a RAF base at the time and have always thought I'd had sight of a covert aircraft of some sort

I saw a UFO while I was in high school. I was walking back from the bathroom when I looked up and it was right over the mountains. The school is right next to the mountain, so I got a very good view of it. It seemed to be flying much lower than most planes. I didn't tell anyone at the time though because I figured no one would believe me. I later on told my friend Adela, she said she believed me because I never lied. Years later I bought a book called UFO's over California and saw a pic in the book of UFO that was taken around the same time I saw the UFO and around the same location where I saw it. The pic of the UFO was identical to the UFO I saw.

Since it was early in the morning the sun was reflecting off the UFO. The sun glare was pretty strong on the UFO. I believe it was moving because the sun glare was not constant, it went front bright to very bright at times. One time I had to sorta look away because for about a second it was almost like a big mirror that was reflecting the sun on me.

After seeing it though, I kinda got the impression that it was manmade. It seemed to be made of a metallic surface, very similar to the materials we use to make planes. Why would aliens use the same materials that we use to make planes?

I am completely sure of what I saw since it was a clear blue sky and I got to stare at it for around 7 seconds. Then it disappeared. It got my attention initially because the object was flying so low over the mountain, and since the school is next to the mountain, I got a very close look at the UFO.

I think that you have really opened a door. But did you expect the wind to blow all of the windows out? LOL! This is incredible. I'm trying to cross reference these sightings with NUFORC & I can not keep up with all that is flowing into the thread.

NUFORC also handles sightings internationally, but because of language barriers & such, these are limited. Mostly those who speak English make the reports. It would be truly interesting if there were a Global UFO Reporting Center. Now THAT would scare the PTB worldwide!

"Global UFO Reporting Center"
Now theres an Idea that even Springer would love...

Honestly though I wouldn't say that this response level is too surprising.
Most people see things, they simply blank them out. (... ooh, look its a balloon that it just so happens can jump at right angles, etc, etc)

Its amazing how easily humans can explain away things that they are not accustomed too.

What you need to bear in mind is the fact that the title of this thread includes the majic words 'No Pic and No Proof' and would you rather spout off about seeing something that you cannot prove and simply makes you look like a nut?

Answer = Nope.

Heres a buck on the bet that there is a rather significant difference between 'seeing something you cannot explain' and reporting it to the media craving, blithering idiots that run around screaming about potential invasion.

Thing is that if there was a 'Good' reporting system that wasn't associated with 'Crank' news or websites and it was appropriately circulated we might have more honest responses from not just ourselves but the general populace.
(The presentation of respectability and all that.... Milgram's work has more applications that most assume. Ironic really.)

All in good fun wot?

Absence.

Well, I must say, so refreshing to be able to post like this and no flamers.
Since this appears to be the case, I'll allow another.
When I was 14, My family, well Mom, lil' sis and I, as well as some family friends, went to Hampton Bays on a short vacation, a trip that should ony take a couple of hours, one way.
We arrived 6 hours late and the adults response was, "We shouldn't have stayed so long for lunch."
Now it gets interesting. We had lunches packed, and I remember eating on the road, while "Rita", was driving.
I also remember seeing another "cigar " UFO while we were on Sunrise Highway. I told everybody to "look" and remember nothing else until we stopped for directions to our rented cottage.
Came out of that with a triangular scar on my forearm that healed incredibly fast.
Intersting thing is Grumman has a test facility along that road. Huh.
edit for S&F, this community has been crying for this thread. Hope we don't attract the mercenaries.

I am not an ATS member, but I read here regularly.
I have had a sighting and My Dad was right beside me and saw the same thing. It was about 4:00 on a sunny afternoon and we were out in our front yard playing and working. I was about 10 years old (am 53 now) yet I still clearly remember what we saw. You dont forget things like this.
We happened to look up and this oval shaped metallic object was hovering silently about 500 ft above us and a little to the NE. It just sat there, not moving and not making a sound and did so for what seemed like 2-3 minutes. And then, in the snap of a finger, it either disappeared, or it moved away so fast that we could not tell what direction it went!
My dad still to this day will tell you the same account and like me, has no idea what it was. But we can sure tell you what it was NOT. It was NOT anything man made because no man made craft can hover without making any noise whatsoever and then fly off that fast.
So I am certain that there are these "unknown craft" flying around up there, but who they are or what they want is a mystery.

Many years ago I was stationed at a military base in NM as an aircraft maintainer. We lived on base and at about dusk on evening I was outside and saw a very intense light streak across the sky at a very high rate of speed. A few minutes later I heard our alert jets scramble. The next day when I went to the flightline I asked my boss why we had scrambled last night. He told me "we didn't scramble", I reminded him that I lived less than a mile from the alert facility, he finally said that yes we had scrambled but the pilots never got close enough to the target to get a visual confirmation. The event never did get recorded in the alert log???

I live in flint Michigan. we vacation up north alot, fishing, camping etc. Anyhow, I was chilling on the beach of port Huron looking at one of the most clear star light nights I've ever seen. When I witnessed what I thought was a satilite go by very quickly. It stopped and then did a 90 degree turn and shot skyward at a phenomenal speed. Now I'm not claiming it was an ET vessel, but to me it was a UFO. I have never seen conventional craft make such a maneuver. So to me it was a UFO, because I couldn't determine what kind of craft it was. I wish I had a camera or video tape at the time.

Even if I did have one at the time. I would be very hesitant posting on this site with all the skeptics and the "nothing to view here move along types on ATS. I plan on another trip up north here soon. I will be better prepared this time, just encase.

I have seen multiple unexplainable aerial phenomena over the past few years personally, which I couldn't really begin to describe to you. Simply put, strange lights doing things which I've never seen any normal aircraft do. I don't have a cell phone, and when I used to have one I rarely carried it around me, they've always annoyed me more than anything.

Also my father always used to tell use how when he was young (I would assume this was in the late 50's) his father had come from work around 3:00am (Now his father was a graveyard shift train conductor, so he usually was up all hours of the night) and woke the entire family up because he had something to show them. He woke up my dad, his brother, and mom, brought them all outside, and there were 3 lights in the sky in a triangular formation just sitting there motionless. Then in the blink of an eye, one shot off in one direction, the other in another direction, and the last one in a completely different direction, all at the same time. They still have no idea what it was, but it was according to them unlike anything they'd ever seen.

I also had a friend who used to work at pizza hut, who called me up one night claiming they had spotted a strange reddish/orange light in the sky pulling off maneuvers that defied physics while they had been taking out the trash. They ran inside to show others, so there were multiple witnesses to this event, including my girlfriend at the time.

This was all the proof I ever needed even before I had my own experiences with unusual objects in the sky, bizzare dreams, and unique visions during meditation in the company of other beings.

We are not alone.

Live in love.

I don't call mine a UFO - it was a flying saucer. I was about 10yrs old at the time which would put the year around 1968. I was in a group of 6 or 7 cousins of mine and my brother and sister, all of which are still alive, remember the sighting, and are reluctant to discuss it. It happened during a family reunion when all of the adults were inside the house and most of the children playing outside.

It was it a small town is southeast Pennsylvania. The sighting occurred in the evening just around twilight. My grandmother lived on a road which ended in a large circle. Her house sat atop a hill on the high end of the circle with heavy wooded land for miles behind the house and a long low expanse in front with hills in the distance.

The saucer presumably emerged from the woods, though none of us saw that. What we did see was the saucer motionless and silent in the air just beyond the next door neighbor's house. I would estimate the craft to have been no more than 50 to 60 feet off the ground . Using the house as a reference, I'd estimate the craft to be nearly as big around as the house. I would estimate the distance from me to the craft was no greater than 100 feet.

It was, I'm embarrassed to say, almost laughable in appearance - the typical-looking 1950's B-movie style flying saucer, complete with rotating lights around the rim and colorful, keystone-shaped lights around the sides of a flat bottomed cone shaped object jutting from the center of the bottom of the saucer. The body was light metallic gray in color but could possibly have been lighter had I seen it in full daylight.

After the first child spotted and pointed it out, we all stood motionless and silent for a period of perhaps15 or 20 seconds. Not a word between us as we stared. Finally, one of the girls let out a terrific scream. Almost instantly the craft took leave. It went from a dead hover to over the horizon in nearly the blink of an eye.

Not a single adult shared the sighting and none of them believed us.

I would like some answers but I know that won't happen. Due to the reluctance of my family to discuss the event I've even considered hypnosis in the hope I could relive and remember every detail of that night.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I registered just for this, so "Hello!" ATS. I figure this story will be a good introduction... my first sighting, one that started a life of questioning exactly what is in our skies:

In 1982 I was 12 years old. One evening that winter, near the holidays, my mother woke me up from a deep sleep at 2am. She was freaking out, and wanted me to verify that she wasn't crazy.

Our home in Vermont sits high up on the East side of the Winooski River valley. From my bedroom window, there is a beautiful 20 mile view across the valley towards Camel's Hump. About 8 miles away down in that river valley there is a hydro-power dam. At the time it was under construction and there was a large crane at the site. During the holidays they hung a array of lights on the crane tower to look like a Christmas tree. We could see that from our house.

So, what had my mother so scared? There was a light hovering over that dam, and it was changing colors. Red, blue, green, white, red again. It was moving back and forth ever so slowly, and occaisionaly it would "bounce" up and down. I was an aircraft freak even at that age, and mom wanted to know if I knew what it was. I didn't. From our vantage point, it was impossible to tell if it was something moving on the mountain side beyond the river, or if it was between us and the far side of the valley, but it sure looked like it was moving over the lights on the crane.

My mother called the BTV airport and asked them if anyone else was calling in about this mysterious light in the valley. Of course, they pretty much thought she was a crazy lady and said that nothing was amiss. They did, however, give her the number to our nearest military installation, Plattsburgh Air Base (closed in 1992). So, at my behest, she called them and told the same story. You guessed it - same result. "You're a crazy lady!".

It was a crystal clear night, so we returned to the window to watch this object some more. Within five minutes something unexpected happened.

From the opposite side of the valley several aircraft popped up over the ridge in formation and headed down the valley. We could see their collision lights with the familiar red, green and white strobes. I figured military, of course, but wondered about the response time. Plattsburgh is at least 50 miles away by air, so it is possible they could cover that distance under full military power if they had been on the ready line when we called. Or, they had already been on the way.

The jets got to within two miles or so of the mysterious object when it suddenly brightened, turned white, and went straight up. Fast. It disappeared into the night sky effortlessly. We continued to watch for several more minutes as the jets did a few orbits, then returned the way they came. With that, we called it a night.

Others in my high school saw the event or heard the jets, but we never saw anything in the news. Will probably never know, but it definitely helped form the opinions I have today about our visitors from other worlds.

Thanks for letting me share, and I look forward to participating in more ATS conversations in the future!

It is, isn't it? It's exciting to me to read about all the accounts, accounts remembered from early childhood to the very recent.

I like seeing so many people posting their experiences without fear of being made to feel "2 foot small" as Lennon would say. I forget what number Tim Russert threw out at one of the Democratic debates about the number of citizens that have seen a UFO (I believe it was around 14%) but, as this thread shows, there are probably many, many more that have kept silent about it.

Now I'm wondering how many here have had actual contact with an ET but have no proof .... another thread maybe.
