Damn, I was actually hoping to see Obama raving at Camp David. With glowsticks and all.

Bawhewwww HaHaHa!!!

AP....(not the Associated Press, don't get your hopes up) that almost made me spit up over my new computer!

Good thing I spilt on my shirt, instead (it was old)....

Not sure if I spelled the laugh sound well....hope it carried.

Funny thing, methinks....the CD illusion, when you're POTUS, is slightly exagerrated. I mean, the POTUS is NEVER really 'secluded'. Maybe it was just nice to have some woods to walk in, away from the ever-present noise of the city. (And, the South Lawn does NOT count!!!)

Of course you would never be able to find George Bush at Camp David while the country was spiraling into hell...

Oh wait...

Um....yeah......would be funny, pesky.....EXCEPT CD is NOT a vacation home!!!

Bush 43 spent roughly one-quarter of his entire time in office on 'vacation'....either in Crawford, TX or Kennebunkport, ME.

When Obama spends over 25% of his time on 'vacation' back in Chicago, well then come back and complain.

I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like he was reading a book while the country was under attack.

Most of the people here who are "upset" that he's in Camp David are the same ones who complain the he's doing too much as it is.

So what is it, he's doing too much or too little? You can't have it both ways.

Thanks, Mr. Irish Mick...(HEY!! That describes me, too!!!)

Just so everyone can sleep soundly tonight....the 'football' is there, and the "3 AM" phone call will still come through....Gee, you'd think that CD is thousands of miles away from DC (not that that would matter).

His FIRST visit to a bucolic environment that will serve as a useful, out-of-the-way place for future possible visiting dignataries from other countries to escape the constant media spotlights and get some real stuff done....REAGAN did it, BUSH 41 DID IT, Clinton did it....etc, etc, etc!@!!!!

Bush 43....well, he just cleared the brush......(he not so smart....)

But it does just go to show that people just complain for the sake of complaining. How can you be upset that he's there "not working", when just 2 days earlier you were pissed at what he was doing while he was working?

Whiner - "OMG, Obama is doing all of this stimulus stuff! He just needs to stop!"

Level-Headed Individual - "It's the best solution to date, other than 'tax cuts' (because those have proven themselves
)"

Whiner - "Wow, now Obama is on vacation when he should be working on the crisis!"

Level-Headed Individual - "Didn't you just say you wanted him to stop doing what he was doing?"

You can't win with these people.

You mean "you" are in trouble. There is no "we" for politicians.

No "good" people get to the top, and if they do they get killed. Like the Mafia, you need to be "made" to get in, can't go in there and ruin their business because you are "president" or whatever. Who cares about the title, you need connections or you are out.

I find it to be rather unrealistic on your part to suggest that working 80 hours or more a week is a result of "poor planning" or a "workaholic avoiding their family"

I do not presume to know anything about your background or current status in life but I have personally known MANY people from various points on the socioeconomic spectrum to be compelled to work 80 hrs./wk and even more to fulfill their obligations to their family's well being.

There are those of us on this planet who look not to some governmental institution for the financial stability of our families. But instead rely on consistent hard work, smartly done, to achieve our desired ends.

Not everyone can be a petulant "Trust Fund Brat" and even though it would appear to be coming more "In Vogue" to suckle at the Federal teat, this is not the path that those of a self-sufficient mind wish to tread.

The only reason anyone should work 80 hours/week is if they need it for financial reasons. Doing it because you are a workaholic or because you want a promotion is irresponsible to any loved ones (unless you have none).
