thats a awesome video

hemp plastic can be beat with a sledgehammer and not EVEN DENT

henry ford , washington carver, edison - they wanted the 21st century to be a place where we didnt pollute anymore

you can GROW your car parts

they are biodegradable, they return to earth safely

grow your car, use plants oil to run your car , power industry and our cities

burning coal and crude oil like we do today STILL in 2009... it may "seem profitable" to like 1 or 2 elite tycoons

but in reality, in the Long run, for the future great great great great grandchildren

we must use organic plastics and oil

BTW TY mods for actually letting this thread not get banned yet

Because this IS ACTUALLY the real solution to the golbal meltdown of the industrial age

thanks for every ones input about the economic benifits of a potential cannabis industry so far.
i for one hope that our current economic downturn becomes an oppotunity for us to embrace the cannabis industry
to boost the economy
clean up industry
& maybe even make our society a better place to live.

Should be allowed and tolerated - but not abused as the next source of tax revenue to pay for taking over countries with oil and gas or are part of the infrastructure for oil and gas e.g. pakistan region, right over to Georgia, , middle east, etc.
Else it will just stay underground and no change there!

Nope, because everyone is so depressed that all anyone will do is smoke grass and not do their work.

Everyone would be high all the time. The people who do have jobs would lose them, and people who are unemployed won't find new ones, out of sheer laziness.

IMHO.

/slash... we can use help and use cannabis for other things.
We should still have it illegal to smoke it ^_^
People should be able to grow it, but there should be a law against being high.
It's a very beautiful plant, in all honesty.

You know a strike would make sense. Everybody who uses cannabis regularly should stay home for the day. watch a massive section of the work force not show up at all. watch half the stuff that we assume are being done and handled by "non high" responsible people go away. It's a massive assumption to believe that THC prevents people from working, or from doing a good job while at work.

One could make the same argument for 90% of the substances humans consume from coffee to alcohol. they too probably impair ones ability to do their job in some way too.

The sooner people start to become educated about the cannabis liene plant the better, as people will see that the plant is not evil, doesn't hurt anything, and can make everybody's lives better. through the material it can be turned into to the chemical substances it creates.

I agree with one of the previous posters. it is indeed a pretty plant THC aside.

Also, cannabis is just it's genus, not the species. Beer hops are cannabacea plants too. Cannabicea genus just describes how the flower formations go. in racemes. See it's cousin is the beer hops plant. not so evil after all is it.

So very wrong.

I have known plenty of people who are very hard workers, and actually very smart, who smoke marijuana. What you are stating is a stereotype. It's not like high school where the stoners do nothing but eat potato chips and munchies all day.

In fact I bet you know some people right now, that smoke marijuana, and you have no idea or would never even think that they did it.

When i was in high school, 95 percent of my class did it. I only knew of a few that didn't do it. Did 95 percent of my class drop out of school? No.

You should be a bit more open minded.

Someone who smokes marijuana is much less harmful than an alcoholic or drunk and i'm sure there are many who would agree with me.

The government is already maximizing cannibas profits. All these other ideas are a bunch of crap that bong hitting bozos sit around drumming up while sucking on a doobie so they dont have to hide in their basement anymore.

Yeah I could agree with the last poster (edit -dave) opinion. I know a man who makes several million a year and he indulges. I know a kid with an IQ literally of 190. Everyday for him. Most of the people I know who own their own successful companies imbibe in it.

I know a lawyer who's doing very well who enjoys it. I even know GASP!!!! COPS who use it. and they get tested. but still get away with it.

THere are people you pay money to everyday who either do your accounting, are your boss, are financial consultants, maybe contractors for large commercial building projects, school teachers, your fitness instructor. whatever. and they all imbibe and the world hasn't fallen apart. GO figure.

Yea..then we could bust every last one of them, drain their bank accounts, find their suppliers, bust them, follow the chain, recover some missing persons, solve some murders. I agree. We could really clean up alot of scum if a strike happened.

Smoking Hemp will not be legalized at least until there is a test for recent use of the plant. You know, how can you get charged for a DWI. Labs have tests for use, but not recent usage. Other uses for Hemp are astounding to me! Thanks for that info.

Funny that these "criminals" I know are so well respected within their communities. People literally depend on them. One's even a doctor.

And don't be so surprised about the cop thing. More common than people will admit.

But most of the economy thats based on cannabis that the people of this thread are talking about are americans making money for america. the money isn't shuffled off to terrorists somewhere, nor does it go to help pablo escobar wannabes build compounds in the south american jungles.

It's usually just ends up paying for food, clothing, their kids tuitions at expensive private college prep. schools.

THe lawyer is helping home owners who are getting forclosed on due to job layoffs. So he's not hurting anybody, but helping.

THe kid with the super high IQ helps kids that are struggling in their academics by being a tutor.

Wouldn't bringing the resource of cannabis under the regulation and relative safety of the govt. take the money out of the narco terroristas hands. take a whole industry up from underneath them.

What about the 85 year old grandma with glaucoma she's going to hell right. you know for utilizing a natural and safe herb that god created for her to use on her own health and peace of mind. She's the one destroying the fabric of american society.

Thank god we found the culprits. That it wasn't the fault of crazy people listening to rush limbaugh and his drug induced non sensical rantings while higher than mount everest on opiates. wheew...good thing. I can go back to loving rush and his neocon friends.

Pablo Escobar did great things for his people. The coc aine trade fed and clothed many. Did this make him any less of a criminal? It doesnt matter who you are. Until it is changed the law is the law.

industrial strains of hemp are not smokable

cannibas is a Genus of plants

sativa is the Species

and you must differentiate between the species or subspecies

en.wikipedia.org...

Humans do not smoke "Hemp" that is the wrong connotation, the article explains it better than i do lol

Hemp (from Old English hænep, see cannabis (etymology)) is the common name for plants of the entire genus Cannabis, although the term is often used to refer only to Cannabis strains cultivated for industrial (non-drug) use.

YEah. Hemp is cannabis ruderalis.

recreational cannabis is cannabis sativa or cannabis indica. but both sativa and indica are really cannabis sativa liene. It's argued that hemp and cannabis are really the same species just breed for very different purposes.

Ruderalis for it's fiber. Sativa for recreation. Indica for oils, seeds, and then recreation.

But to a scientist it's all the same species. And they'd be right too. But it's not so weird.

Broccoli, culiflower, cabbage, and kale are all the exact same plant. same species. same plant. just breed for thousands of years for very different things. Kale. culiflower same plant...weird.

yeah honestly most of the cops and soldiers I've spoken to about the subject were pretty unconcerned or unoffended by the topic. doesn't seem to be a big priority or bother in their lives.

My feeling is that the BEER & Liquor companies would be the biggest opponent to legalization. Face it, the weed works better, cheaper, and with far less side effects than alcohol. It is also way safer than alcohol. A lot of people that use alcohol to unwind, that normally wouldn't smoke, would be making the switch. Yeah, I see a BIG PROBLEM with alcohol not letting this happen...

this is weird and sort of off topic but not intended as being off topic

i saw the topic of this thread, and felt that i wanted to repost my post from the post about michael phelps www.abovetopsecret.com...' but when i tried to go to the post, its like its disappeared, or been taken down by someone who realized it was a great thread that was pro-marijuana and hemp and felt threatened

so im posting here to wonder if anyone or any mods have any idea where the post went? the 2 threads are sort of linked together as they are both about the same topic

hopefully we can find that thread about phelps or is there a conspiracy on a conspiracy website?
