Meh...

could be night time picture w/ plane and they just changed the exposure and shopped the colors.

Because our very own existence is considered as rare, 1/googol.

That space worm looks like a prop from the Disney movie Zenon:Z3.

Believe it or not, i'm going to jump on this whole balloons idea. The close-up images make the body look segmented which could easily be the individual balloons.

I think to entertain the possibility of an actual organism, you'd have to accept the idea that something that large can stay "afloat" indefinitely, using some kind of mechanism that we cannot currently conceive of.

With all of the air traffic and satellite imagery available, I find it strange that it wouldn't warrant further investigation. Once found to be an actual living thing, I find it strange that this information wouldn't be shared. Scientists find new species of things all the time and there's no problem releasing that information. What would make an organism like this so special that it would need to be hidden?

Tosses the pictures into the Jamie Mussaine(sp?) bin, with all the other "space" worms, rods, F.A.S.T. ect

-needs something in the photo for reference, else we just have the photograghers word on this being VERY high. Sorry, A strangers word isn't worth enough for me to suddenly believe in E.T. life.

Good find!

Here are a couple of vids that show strange objects in space. Are they extra terrestrial biological entities?

Some contend that the twisting objects seen in the vids below are nothing more than spent rocket boosters, waste disposal polythene containers or pieces of the space station itself! Heck! Is it falling apart?

Here is a collection of some of these ‘creatures’ (for want of a better word!). There have been no convincing explanations thus far.

NASA footage shot during nendezvous of Colombia with the HST

NASA footage from the space shuttle

Taken from STS-117 live feed during the undocking maneuver from the ISS when something like a worm appears in the image.

UFO/amoeba-like object on NASA control Room screen! Similar to the pulsating objects in the ‘tether incident’

NASA's explanations? None so far! Will there ever be?

As the saying goes, "There are more things in heaven and Earth than you can ever imagine…."

Cheers!

I can't imagine the thing being capable of flight even if it were alive. There are the rules of physics and all.

I think it has to be a hoax.

Either on the part of the observer or on the part of government.

There are scenarios in which it might serve the powers that be to have wierd phenomena appearing in the sky.

video would have been nice but beggers cant be choosers. from the pics its hard to say either way no size comparison so it could be any size.

if i was going for a more mundane explanation i would say a foil balloon and if i had been drinking i would say an alien foil balloon.

heres the response I got from the guy who took the pictures

"sorry but i dont have anymore pics of the object, it was higher then airliners that were flying by and it appeared to be bigger then they were as well".....

I know, the balloon theory won on this topic. The " crazy wings " UFOs are probably balloons, so have a laugh at me as much as you want, i don't take it as an offense.

To answer the guys and girls who have a sense of humor, i'll just say that in order to counter weird theories, be way more weirder and maybe you can put your finger on something.

Ok me personaly i think its real but for those that dont think so should have had other things in the picture like a tree or edge of ur house/work couse then people will just think u used fishing thread or somthing infront of a blue piece of construction paper

i think this is a specific kind of ufo ...i have seen pictures of really strange looking ufos..i remember the cigar shaped ufo that my son and i saw..it looked like a 50 foot length cigar without windows, without sound and without markings..it moved very slowly across the street from us as it descended behind some bush...it was really strange..bren

Have to agree with coleyk, there are no reference points. There's no scale and as others have suggested, it could even be a jellyfish underwater. Yes, it is interesting but I am far from convinced.

I still think it's just balloons. The images with the "disks" with the notches look exactly like diffraction rings you find when collimating a telescope. I have a large Dob and those blobs are identical to diffraction images that you see when collimating. I'll try and get a shot through my collimater. Looks exactly like an out of focus star.

now this is a proof of low level of knowledge.
And this happens all the time and is one big factor in confusion in the field of UFO.

How anybody can say that something unknown is higher or lower than airlines?
The image even for the eyes, is 2D, bidimensional, NOT 3D, at big distances, (unless the distance to the object is not too far (meters away), when stereoscopic vision can create the depth information).

If it is a bird, and recognise it is a bird, then the brain knows it is small, and therefore the bird is assumed right to be closer than the airline.
If it is an insect (bug), and recognise it is an insect, then the brain knows it is even smaller, and therefore the bug is assumed right to be closer than the airline and even closer than the bird.
If it is the moon, and you recognise that it is the moon, then the brain knows it is bigger, and therefore the moon is assumed right to be far away than the airplane.
if you don't know what it is, and don't recognise nothing, then the brain has no mark, indication, and then it assumes something. This assuming is only a guess. It can be right, it can be wrong.

Once a time, i saw in daylight somethink like an bright orb, moving slowly in the sky. I saw that it was NOT an airplane, or something known.
I was intrigued, and watching the silent moving object, without absolutely nothing to hint a bit to what it was, not knowing the distance, and the size. Then, i've got the binoculars. It was a "dandelion", those seeds from the poplar tree, floating maybe approximate 20 meters up or something. It was only one, not exactly in theri season. Only with binoculars, when trying to focus, give me the stereoscopic information to understand that it is something small and close.

Nobody can judge the distance to an unknown object without proper landmarks. This is tottally subjective. This is why so much confusion here.

So, those banana BALLOONS, that anybody can buy, like Phage found, may be at some few hundreds metter away up from the viewer/camera, so, with 6 x optical zoom and 4 x digital zoom, therefore 24 x zoom, (from EXIF data) can appear pretty good in the picture, and yet high in the sky to the eyes, moving slowly.

It looks like reflective banana ballons, it moves like banana ballons, you can buy reflective banana ballons, you can launch helium banana ballons, and i thing it is an extraterestrial ship especially morphed by the aliens to look like banana ballons, or it is a big gelly fish in the air... or in space, like the title said
