Red star on white flag refers in history to secessionists states. I'm pretty sure it was important meaning for the creator of that picture because all that game is about disintegration of the USA.

I had Axis & Allies and someone stole it out of my room in college, so I went to the store to buy another and picked up this one instead. My memory of it is that we tried to enjoy it like A&A, but somehow the games seemed to be more tedious and predictable, probably because of the way the U.S is set up to win, but win slowly. I just went to my game closet to look for it, but I must have given it away.

How is it that I ever had enough time for a five hour board game?

In 1986 Milton Bradley released Fortress America, a tabletop wargame set in the 21st century.




The premise of the game involved terrorists halting the flow of oil out of the Middle East, the US becoming energy independent, and developing a space based weapons constellation. This occurs over a number of years before reaching the current timeframe of the game.

I would not of been surprised had this been presented to the U.N by Colon Powell.

I did not know about the red star's connection to the civil war. However, I doubt that was the intention of its use. The game's not about civil war, it's about foreign forces - including communists - invading the country.

I also noticed something else. Do you guys see that soldier in the center of the box that is supposed to be a black ops? Well, behind him are the twin towers. I find it uncanny that he looks like urban SWAT that would be used in the event of martial law.

Looks VERY much like the cover to "Axis and Allies" a WW2 based strategic game. Probably just a sequel, and I doubt WW3 will take place on American soil.

In Axis and Allies you had to bring american planes and ships across both see's just to get to the fight in Europe, or attack Japan.

The fight was mainlt based around the German/Russian front. and the German Tank campaign in Africa, against the British.

Really fun game, better Risk, because you had actual infantryman,tanks,subs,battles ships Air Craft Carriers(with planes that say on the deck. As well as Industril complexes you could buy or take over to pump out more troops.

This Fotress America just looks like a wanna be Axis and Allies (also made by Milton Bradly (I still have a fairly new copy of it, I found at a Flea Market,. That game had a pretty big following. As big as Risk.

Yes even Axis and Allies favored the allies a bit. After 50 or so games, we had to start playing with the revise rules, Germany and Japan got more troops/tanks, and land to start.

Man I remember I could set that entire board up for start, blindfolded. good times.

Now the Ghost Recon parallels with the 2008 Russian/Georgian war is an entirely different story...

I have brought this up in the past, very creepy parallels! Ghost Recon: Desert Siege also foresaw the 2006 war between Erteria and Ethiopia.

Indeed, and Clancy isn't exactly staying too far away from people "in the know" these days either. His last birthday party was on an aircraft carrier, for crying out loud.

I had this game (the not old saddam box), when I was a kid. It just came out and my mom brought it home for me. She said it could be a game to learn from. Years later I saw it as less of a game, and more how it related to the actual possibility of reality.

Crazy game, scary almost if one believes in conditioning.

I remember playing that game as a kid! However, I believe all the conspiracy issues are overblown. The ememy alliance was made up of China, a Middle Eastern Alliance, a South American Alliance, and a Soviet Block Alliance. It was us against the World. The reason for Saddam's picture is because at the time of the games release, he was the most powerful figure in the middle east. As for the Golden Gate, if you remember the game scenario, the enemy alliance invades the West Coast, East Coast, and South West through Mexico. The GG represents the West coast front, the World Trade Ctr represents the East Coast front, and the AZ Mesas represent the SW front. Its all just a coincidence or you are reading into it too much. So is the Illuminati responsible for every synchronistic event in history? History is full of them. I mentioned the Wreck of the Titan book, which is synchronistic with the Titanic. The Oil Storm film would be another good one, being synchronistic with Hurrican Katrina. That's just a very brief example, there are tons of these "coincidences" throughout history.

Some people say these coincidences point to a human conspiracy. Sometimes things are human conspiracy but from my point of view at times there definitely seems to be something else greater than human conspiracy and It seems to work in mysterious ways.

Ah......I see what you mean. There is indeed something more, much more than a "HUMAN CONSPIRACY." You are spot on.

In accordance with my research here are the truths that is supported by most historians and researchers that don't have an agenda with some organization or hired by the powers that be.

One: The real issue at stake is whether Christ or Satan will ultimately reign as King upon this Earth. The supernatural entities do exist as do millions of other entities on both sides. They are extra-dimensional and not ET or Aliens from some distant planet.

Two: The supreme directors of the Satanic conspiracy are a small group of men who believe in the supernatural but who deliberately organize Atheistic-materialism to lure human beings away from Almighty God. the Devil, their Master, wins every soul who has denied the existence of God and refused to love, serve and obey Him.

Three: The fundamental principle of the Satnaic Illuminati is to divide different races, religions, political groups, social classes and nationalities, etc, and make them fight each other so they become weak in manpower and ruined economically. This plot leads them to wards internationally.

What I think is interesting is the change in the box cover. When did MB find it necessary to mask Saddam with a beard and mustache, and why?

I am thinking that they did it in response to the First Gulf War but that doesn't really make any sense. I would think that the image of Saddam on the box would have enhanced sales before and after the Gulf War. Considering that Saddam was left in power, and that he was in the news almost daily, then I would think that the manufacturer would recognize that as a marketing advantage. Who would be most likely to want to invade the US?
