Hmm a definative statement.
I came across an experiment a while back where people who were terminal patients agreed to be weighed during their last moments.
It was found that there was a great difference in weight after the person had passed away that couldn't be accounted for (as all fluids etc that would normally leave the body ended up on the scales - not effecting the overal weight).
If memory recalls the only thing that couldn't be accounted for would be the air in the persons lungs, but such was the large loss of weight, there was still something not being accounted for.
A link I found to this is as follows: Link
Good times
What to make of all this? MacDougall's results were flawed because the methodology used to harvest them was suspect, the sample size far too small, and the ability to measure changes in weight imprecise. For this reason, credence should not be given to the idea his experiments proved something, let alone that they measured the weight of the soul as 21 grams. His postulations on this topic are a curiousity, but nothing more.

you are saying what most believe and that is animals don't have souls and thats what seperates man from beast.
So using sheep or puppies as an example is wrong because they have no soul to begin with, humans on the other hand do.
People would argue we have a soul from reports of near death experiences ect...., we cannot speak for animals.
The only animals which show signs of self are primates and dolphins, so cloning either of these may give a spark or idea about the soul and self.
Get with it man He is fooling all of you and will speak softly but will take us all down if we let him! it will happen around valentines day 2009 They will say he is a man of peace.
