Few people know that the Nazis during world war 2 were actually working on trying to reanimate dead flesh. Now I read somewhere that not only did they try this, but succeeded. It was in some article online and said they released three zombies in a Ukrainian town. Apparently the zombies had some need to eat flesh so as to kind of give them more life. (some screw ball thing like that). Well the zombies walked slowly through the town, taking their time consuming each victim. Two were destroyed by townspeople with axes and the third was later reaquired by the Nazis and taken back in a cage. I also read in the articles that some Nazi soldier apparently saw zombies being used as soldiers?

It sounds very rediculous and certainly untrue, but I was wondering if anyone else has read any articles about these "Nazi Zombies".

Do you have any links to that article? I wouldn't put it past them. The Nazis had their hands in a LOT that we see as being unlikely. They were looking for religious artifacts that were said to have powers (Indiana Jones got many of the story ideas based on this) and were doing research into some very bizarre medical enhancements. With all the Jews they had, and without any kind of guilt about making people suffer to the degree they did, they had tons of experimental test subjects, so if it is possible, the Nazis would have been the ones who did it.

Here is what he appears to be talking about:

www.para-normal.com...

Interesting, even if it is likely to be false.

Anyone played Return to Castle Wolfenstein?

Okay, well let's suppose the nazi's found some way to give life to a dead body, I think one of the leading issues would be to rejuvenate muscles, nonetheless teach the zombies basic skills.

"the zombie had an insatiable need to feed"

Well if you've been dead for 50 years and not ate once wouldnt you be a little hungry?

Thank you TPL, that is the same site that I was talking about. I think it's probably totally false, but I guess anything is possible. But one thing that bugs me is this sentance from the article.

One of the least known facts from the World War II era is its connection to the modern zombie threat.

What "modern zombie threat" is this guy talking about? *Clears throat* I didn't know there was a zombie threat to the world at the moment?

I dont think that they used zombies. Perhaps ideas, but no actual zombies.

Besides, they seem to be described as "Holly wood" style zombies, wich become essentially mindless, as well having a need for flesh.

Although judging how cruel the Nazis were, maybe they tortured their victems into becoming mindless killers.. and set em loose on an innocent town??? just an idea..

I heard a rumor that some soul less bodies refuse to let go. They repeatably come back from death and evetually have to be "dealt with." Being emballed or cremated does the trick.

That story reminds me of a joke that my grandfather would tell. I would tell but many will find it a "racist" joke.

the zombie-soldiers began feeding on their living comrades.

According to Nussbaum, two of the three zombies were felled by farmers with axes

Ok, so they can eat multiple armed soldiers, but are slow and physically fragile enough for farmers to kill them?

Does this remind anyone else of the S.S. Paranormal Division from RTCW?

If they were physically fragile why would they release only three on a whole town?

I can picture it now:

"Mmmm brrraaaiiins."
"Hey, what's that thing eating our friend?"
"I don't know, let's kill it."
"Brraa-"
*Thwunk*

k what did I do wrong this time eh??

Ya it does sound like Return to castle wolfenstein.

The whole thing is BLAH BLAH nothingness.
I seriously doubt that a few farmers could take on the zombies if an army couldnt.
