The more one ponders on his thoughts and exploits of government and beaurocratical institutions, the more relevant and clear the explanation comes.
GC had made hard mention to the "Big Politics" in such a way that the smartest of people have overlooked the irony in his words.
His points of the recessions on a global scale, battles and the fact that their is nothing we can do about it because government could give a "Rats A**" about the people, "Unbelievable" how accurate his words ring today!!

I enjoy this thread, it allows us "Critical Thinkers" a crucial and important self analogy of "This SH** is for real, and not just some drummed up crazy thoughts."

I wish GC were a live today, he'd more than likely slam the ATS forum for it's content, but in the long run he would see how much we are critical thinkers on these forums, "Most of us anyway."

You are so right.
I find it shocking and sad really, that he can be so accurate and so right on so many things... over such a long period of time.

Corruption, greed.. racism...wars... everything he speaks on and of, is still as true and pertinent as it was when he said it... although granted, some of was as recent as last year.. but the point remains.. he was a genius, in the truest sense of the word!

As you said, I'm so glad this thread was started and have enjoyed it thoroughly and It's awesome to know other GC fans and critical thinkers and hopefully get some new ones on board.

George Denis Patrick Carlin - May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008.

Rest in peace my man

George Carlin was one of the most intelligent and artistic people I have ever seen.

I just want to comment on how sickened I was the day after his death. I happened to have the tv on in the background, and was utterly sickened to hear every single media personality talk about how much they loved Carlin, and how brilliant he was and how much he would be missed. I was so shocked that I honestly thought it was some sort of sick joke.

Carlin HATED all of those people, and yet here they were acting like they were chums. They never talked about anything he believed, and to the contrary berate anyone who said what he believed if they had the chance, and yet the pretend to be deeply saddened by his death. I sent about 20 emails to these people saying that if they truly would miss him, to honor him by having the guts to talk about the issues he believed in (fat chance that had of working).

The truth is that the media started to rewrite what Carlin was the day he died. To the casual listener of Carlin, the fact that these media people seemed like friends of Carlin would help serve to put doubt into what Carlins message was, and in 50 years, all people won't even remember that Carlin was critical of the government at all. I'm at least glad to see that there are people on this board that won't forget what he truly stood for.

I hear what you're saying totally.
It is the job of the press to ridicule and tear-down anyone who is slightly out-there/controversial or critical of their behaviour... and then... praise them and build them up when they die.

It is sickening... truly.

They did it with Diana (Princess Di) when she died... made her into a saint of sorts... but went close to calling her a slag and a hussy for the number of boyfriends she had while alive, and constantly slating her for this and that.

They do it with everyone man... that's why i hate the MSM.

Great point well raised

PS. Hicks was the man too

Hey blup,

Was thinking about teh conversation we had had a few posts back, you know, about needing a representative to carry on with GC's points of views and ideologies of our government, bureaucrats, etc.. and cam up with an idea!!
How about we take all the contents from GC and improvise it into a "Book" and with some effort, we can define the accusation's of proper analogies and it's specifity to our worlds reality, and we can call it the "Critical Thinkers Guide to Truth".....or , we can call it the "G.C.B.O.T." the "George Carlin book of truths".
I know that is probably a bit unacceptable for you, being's you wanted the "Spotlight and all"...
You know "Your big debut" type of thing....

It would be quite simple, but the"Book" as the star, and we will just have to have you tour with the "Book Signing Crew" so you can still get some of that witty attitude out to the multitudes!!!

"Good Idea though,Right?" And we can use your "Stage Performance" idea for a "Back-up Plan", you know "Just in case?"

Excellent idea man... GC does have some books out, and i guess there would be copyright issues, but it could be a workable idea mate

Well, I'm highly offended indeed (
) but I'm sure my ego will recover... ** blup skulks off to the corner** I'll just work on my singing instead....

Oh... don't bloody worry... i will

But yeah... the book probably would do a better job man... no.. seriously... it would

well as i said, I sing too (not really an amateur stand-up, although friends and family would like me to be) so there are a few options

But jokes aside, that is a good idea man... just not sure about the legalities of it all, but i'm up for it mate... lemme know

Well yea, exactly, you cannot trust the powers that be to have a honest investigation

Point,
An Obama investigation into Obama determined that Obama was clean, when it came to the incident with blagojevich,

No doubt!

I am game as well, it will take some compiling of information, both legally and literately. But all in all, "It was a good Brain fart, HUH?"

Try and figure out an "Assignment" disbursement category's, and we can run from there. Might take a while, but will be enlightening none teh less.

I have to get off line for a while, but I wanted to share something of great importance to the people of the US, give an opinion if you want, some spelling mistakes and missed letters, I had typed this rather quickly and disappointedly as well.

Yeah um see, in Australia there is no big conspiracy of control or ‘owners’ lol. We actually elect our politicians, ya. Na but, so do you guys in America it’s just the bush administration has lead you to believe you don’t because of the bs job Bush has done. But you still have choice and Obama is proof of that. “They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls.” There’s no proof of this.

The proof is so numerous it surrounds us every second of every day.

In the products we buy.
In the TV we watch.
In the drugs we take.
In the food we eat.

The evidence is EVERYWHERE.

The only thing I can say would have been even better - is if GC had donated some of his wealth towards the Truth Movements and alternative media.

Would have been cool if he had endorsed Ron Paul as well...

Maybe he did give some money to good causes anonymously - but I get the nagging feeling he could have done some really amazing things with his resources.

Regardless he was a Truth Actvist his ENTIRE life - and a great roll model for all of us!

As for all of GC wealth, it truly isn't none of our bs. but and if he did donate, you can bet your bottom dollar it was for his personal belief system and or to anti-government cayses.
Needless to say, he was a man of meaningful and direct words.

This thread is really important, beings it was "PRE" posted thread of the advent of all the governmental hog wash that is going on now!! Strange how accurate it all is?!!

You know - I used to think like that - but now I disagree with it.

Charley Sheen, George Carlin, Rosie O' Donell - they talk a big act but how come their Money is never where there Mouth Is!??

I donate a s-load of my income to pro-constitution and pro-alternative media causes - there is no reason these "celebrities" can't do so as well - anonymously if they so choose.

It seems like every other day some insane celeb is donating another 10 mill to the Scientologists - so where is the money for the Truth Movements out there!??

Amazing how when the rubber hits the road - people all of a sudden don't have a dime to give - well f' that! We need some dang resources if we are going to wake up the people!!

I personally know several multimillionaires who do nothing with their money but drink, gamble, and cheat on their wives - how pathetic! - too bad none of them are men of conscience - who will stand up for positive change in this country!

We need more people rich AND poor to fight for this countries soverignty - and we need it now!

Oh wow! Geroge Carlin has been dead for months and I am really just finding out about this on a months old ATS Thread?

I turned off the TV about 16 months ago now and have not turned it back on. I guess you do miss some things after all?

All I can is that when I was a little boy there was a time for a time then you could still say what you meant and felt to anyone. The politically correct nonsense hadn't started yet.

George was one of the last of those guys...say it like you see it, cruse it, laugh at it, poke fun of someone for it, find the humor and irony in it but above all...just be honest about it.

Politically correct does not equal honesty. It equals an agreement to engage in a dishonest view so that one very scary thing ends up happening...the joke is never on just one person anymore...the joke is on all of us!
