Dude.....He was so misguided. He thought we're owned by the elite, lol. That's just the American mentality created by the sudden rise in paranoia due to 9/11. You have to understand how Americans think when it it comes to freedom to really understand this police state bs.

There is no police state, no elite controlling you. America was pretty relaxed before 9/11 but soon after because of the terrorist attack they now have security beefed up beyond belief. This sudden rise in paranoid security includes military grade weapons for police and this idea that the government was behind it all. It creates a fear in the people that provokes thoughts of a police state - which is just 9/11 heightened security and a government inside job - which is just the same conspiracy they put in jfk. It has to be bigger then it is 'it must of been the government.....

Are you trying to be sarcastic?

or are you just uninformed?

Hi guys, while reading all you post it crossed my mind, how refreshing it would be to have someone real stand up and give a speech to the nation.

I could relate to that,

I was just thinking about that same thing.
Is there a way to get something like the lobbyists to promote such an event to take place?
"Probably NOT." Why? It is as GC said in the video, "They don't want critical thinkers" it would screw up "THEIR" agendas and the plan already displayed for all to see but yet deny.

Sad but true, I want to make a difference, but where is one to start with all the "Big Whigs" already on the venture of destroying or beloved country, the politicians are at fault, from the first stepping of our four fathers on this land, it is them to blame, not the land they were walking on..."Too F'ing sad, and nothing to retaliate with."

Being somewhat of an "amateur" stand up myself... i will gladly do it.
Now... how do we get me in front of the right people.
I have the "ammo"... just no platform...??

I know one thing, we miss him. And, my brother, who liked Carlin very much, and treats me like I'm crazy to go on ATS and believe in these conspiracies, all the while trying to get a rise out of me, by showing me a picture of Bush in the paper and saying he was the best president the US had, (I know hes middle age, but would someone please adopt him quickly), well, he had to walk out and have a smoke while this video was on. Denial anyone?

I really don't think that a persons station in life would make any difference of this happening and being a reality.
It is the conviction of the purposes and cause it produces. Only faint of heart are teh naysayers of teh conspiracy realm, even then , with the evidence in front of them do they still say "Simmer down now!!" LOL
Anybody who is anyone could be the right men for teh job, but like I said before, it probably would get shut down before it is accepted in main stream society.

But I am behind you, 110% blup.

Well i was being slightly sarcastic... but you're right.
The person is not important.. the message is.

Perhaps i can be like fathers for justice... or i could take Gordon brown (or any leader of your choice
)hostage and make him "change the world" for the better.

Come on... let's do it.
If we all write down our concerns and solutions, i will fit it in to a neat little "sketch".

yay...

nice idea huh?

I don't know. It is a tough job to change the world. Don't think for even an instant that if you were even able to get a live world-wide audience that they wouldn't just shoot you, right there in front of everyone, if they thought you were doing TOO good a job.

"That man was trying to incite a riot!"... Then they would have provacateurs go in and actually do some rioting to justify it.

I do what I can every day. I had pretty much had most of this speech of his memorized before last night, but I went ahead and put the rest of it to memory and then gave a good paraphrase to four different people today.

Same with every other topic I find intriguing or disturbing. I voice my opinions. Politics, religion, aliens, whatever. Anything that I feel is important enough for me to spend my time on in here, I also feel is important enough for others to at least have the opportunity to make up their own minds about.
The only difficult thing is trying to work it in such a way that people will actually listen to you.
This is why I admire George Carlin so much. He used his wit to make people listen, but he was always spot on. (I disagree with him on some of his religious views, but that is neither here nor there. It doesn't detract from the fact that he had a brilliant intellect.)

On second thought, they would probably fabricate evidence to link you to Al Qaeda and have some skinhead kill you. That way they don't have a legal mess...
Oh, and then the skinhead would get shot.

www.youtube.com...

I am not a conspiracy theorist.

I am literate critical thinker... that's all it takes.

It seems George was also aware of all the credible radar evidence and sworn eyewitness testimony with regard to the UFO subject:

What did you think to George's comments after you watched all the (award winning) documentaries on the subject posted earlier in the thread?

Once again, it takes the brilliance of George Carlin to put into words ALL of the thoughts I have on the subject of UFOs and Aliens in regards to the public psyche, brought to us by the corporate media.

The man was a genius. It is kinda' sad that he uses the example of a religious doctrine to negate the idea of God, however. He fell down a slippery slope on that one.

But I digress. Once again, he is spot on.

The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice, you don’t, you have no choice you have owners they own you, they own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control all the cooperation’s . They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls. They’ve got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies so they can control just about all news and information you get.

Yeah um see, in Australia there is no big conspiracy of control or ‘owners’ lol. We actually elect our politicians, ya. Na but, so do you guys in America it’s just the bush administration has lead you to believe you don’t because of the bs job Bush has done. But you still have choice and Obama is proof of that. “They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls.” There’s no proof of this. Anyone who claimed this on ats would be questioned by evidence, too bad he’s dead.

They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t wont well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking.... You know what they want? They want obedient workers - obedient workers.

So what he’s getting at is the uneducated Americans that supposedly are that way because the government doesn’t want intelligent people figuring out the conspiracy? Well that’s ridiculous. It’s the governments fault people are dumb? LOL

What a crock.

Who's with me that George Carlin is the greatest American George since Washington?

I really enjoyed the last 2 clips as well - very eye-opening. I saved the OP clip awhile back from the (I think) original thread a few months or so before Carlin died, and it still blows me away like no other. If there's a Heaven, certainly dear George should be a personal friend of the management or leadership (if there is any)...

As amazing as Carlin was/is, no one is perfect. I disagree with his pessimism that nothing will ever change. Who knows what it will take to bring real change, but it will get here?
