There is an old adage/cliche ... "A picture is worth a thousand words.",
that we need to apply for clarity on this issue.

Being that photos of the conflict are not permissible, due in part to their graphic nature and people's sensitivity. There are pictures we can show that tell a more accurate objective story... a truth that is not lost in the battle of banter but an insight that is all too often over looked... and yet reveals the real villain and victim of this fight... settling the debate.

Palestine Maps from 1878 to present

Hard to deny what is happening when you see what has taken place from a bird's eye view over such a short period of time. Not any different then what occurred between the brits and aborigines in austrailia and the settlers and indians in america.

Now for those who are either too lazy, don't have the time or care to review these maps before shooting off your mouths... in following i have provided a map series created by the London Times (5 May 2006, titled, Truth in Mapping)... which gives a fair collective overview:

Speaking of maps... What about this pretty Ottoman Empire one ?

Let's not forget my dear friends we're speaking of a country, ie Israel, which WEST-EAST is like A HUNDRED KILOMETERS...

Edit : People who support the idea of the so-called Palestine are just wishing a so-called people to live inside a handkerchif. Think twice : Jordania is, compared to Israel, a huge territory. Jordan Kingdom is the mere result of WW2. Millions of (so-called) Palestinians ALREADY LIVES THERE, and not only as refugees...

Sigh. Supporting PLO is just a/ a way to wish Israel destruction, loudly or not, b/ a poor misinterpretation of historical facts under the very influence of PLO propagandists.

Palestinians are Jordanians.

lol... wise... i wasn't directing the post to you. I agree with your reflection.
Sorry for the confusion, it was just an after thought i had on my OP.

Some of these guys are predictable, they have knee-jerk reactions to any evidence that israel is more wrong then right... my futile attempt to get a head of the jump-before-looking crowd of sheeple.

netzer, please provide an explanation for your primitive black and white position/interpretation of the maps... for it makes no sense to me.

Netzar, please, thanks.

Palestine is nothing but an invention of the infamous Al-Husseini clan. It has been brought on the table for political, dynastic and somewhat megalomaniac collective delirium. The ultimate goal , also prime mobile, is the conquest of Jerusalem, and hence the long-term AnschluB of all what Jews like to call Eretz Yitsrael.

To make it short, the so-called palestinian people is a little portion of the then gigantic ottoman empire's population. Even more short : palestinian people is a bunch of hostages taken down by a few for politico-fanatic purposes.

Once again, check out the case for Billions Dollars Accounts in Swiss Banks under the very name of Yasser Arafat, money mostly outed off EC & US funds. Speak of starvation.

Amman (Jordan Kingdom) is packed with ex-palestinians, now healthy Jordan citizens. Feed for thoughts...

Thank you for the elaboration.

So in sum, you are saying that the maps are irrelevant because the Palestinians as we know them don't exist, for they were only a fabrication to start off with?

Irrespective of if Palestine or Palestinians exist or not that is not the point. The point is that human beings everywhere have a right to a home land and security. What is happening in the ME is the slow but systematic removal by means of force of Arabs from the state of Israel with a view to a greater Israel.

One must question the wisdom of why the British allowed the Jews of Europe to settle in what was part of the ME surrounded by hostile Arab Nations. Why would anyone in their right mind do such a thing. Well one has to look at the bigger picture, it may be assumed that Israel is the only real pro Western Nation in the whole of th ME and therefore an ally.

The Western World works on Arab Oil failure to control that oil means the collapse of Western democracies. What the British started in ww1 exploitation and control of the ME oil reserves will now be handed to Israel. This is why the UK/US back Israel, for want of a better description they are our patsy. We knew that the infidels from the West would not be tolerated by the Arab nations having suffered our control and interference.

So the ultimate aim of the reason for the state of Israel is to provide a buffer between the East and West. With the coming expansion of Israel their land will come to cover many of the large oil reserves in th area. This is the ultimate goal for the perps who are runningh the show. They don't give a dam for Arabs, Palestinians or the Jews, they are merely the stage actors in their grand show. more to follow.

Please note the images at the link below and you'll see that the British gave the Jews this land because it belonged to the Jews in the past. If you want to argue the point that these aren't the real Jews, that would be another discussion. The map however is accurate and shows that the nation of Israel occupied land up to the Euphrates river around 930 B.C.

On this point I wouldn't argue with you at all. I think it's blindingly obvious that the U.S. and the U.K. want control of the oil in the Middle East and Israel is one great splinter in the whole notion of Arab unity. There is however the religious aspect that you're overlooking. The Pope didn't launch the Crusades to obtain oil.

I'd have to agree with mm, this is no board game, these are real people going through a very real hell on earth. To present such a callous approach to such a situation shows a very unfair bias.

Again i need to put this back in an even larger historical frame of reference, back in the time of the settlers in american & austrilia, the indians & aborigines, you could say they were a total fabrication, that they did not exist either.

So tell me, is this one of the rules of the board game?:
If you as a people of common heritage do not have a common flag/emblem/crest to wave above your head, then you have no right to the land you have invested in and live on.

Dbates, I'm not overlooking anything, wars are fought for 3 reasons and 3 reasons only, either any of the following or any combination, Religion, land and the belief that your enemies are in some way inferior to you. Every conflict man has been engaged in has one or more of these elements.

Irrespective of Jewish history it does not give them the right or anyone else for that matter to commit genocide. We are a inteligent beings capable of many great things things that right now we can only dream of. But our failure to recognise that and the insistance of holding onto age old idea's will be our undoing.

Until will realise that materialism religion and nationality are not essential for our developement and well being then we will move to the next level. Thats of course if we don't destroy ourselves first trying to get there.

So let me get this straight we have a fictitious people with claim to a fictitious land, that we have record of on every demographic map made on the region for over a hundred years... and they don't exist?

So if we run with this illusion, it is therefore perfectly ok to bulldoze their houses to the ground, strangle their livelihood with thousands of check-points and fence them in as if they were animals in a zoo, and when they retaliate we label them terrorists, justifying more military strikes on their defenseless neighborhoods.

This selfish elitist stance is sadistic, soulless, and even borderline evil.

Egypt had legitimate administration of Gaza. When Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and other countries tried to invade Israel with tanks to destroy it, Israel assumed administration of Gaza as a buffer from Egypt.

Israel offered to return it, but Egypt refused to take it back. Israel gave Gaza to the Palestinians 3 years ago. They immediately began massive smuggling of weapons to shell Israel.

Israel has been getting progressively smaller rather than bigger.

Sorry to appear rude, but may I ask - have you ever read anything on the Israeli Palestinian conflict other than Internet hate BS?

...and the point of your story is... that the Palestinians bit the hand that fed them?

as for sources...
if the printed word means more to you, four books i'd recommend you read:

Finkelstein's "Beyond Chuzpah"

Carter's "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid"

Findley's "They Dare to Speak Out"

Mearsheimer & Walt's "The Israel Lobby"
