Livecam from Gaza

I just realized this... but wouldn't Israeli intelligence be using what they can off the cam to direct operations?

I imagine they would. Media coverage can be an asset to any offensive (or defensive) nation, the BBC World Service is blamed for certain parts of the Argentinian offensive in the 1982 Falklands War, by giving up the game on some aspect of the naval taskforce.

In this feed though...i doubt the Israeli spooks can get much information about Hamas and other potential targets.

Someone posted a picture of the white phosphorus shell on pg 43 I believe. To think in that moment, 3 were killed and 60 injured just from that is horrible. I did some math and proportionally, the amount dead in gaza would be equivalent to 635,360 Americans dead based on population size and 2,597,149 injured.

Edit: It was actually Cosmic Traveler who I was referring to. But maybe that isn't the same attack that was mentioned in the story. I saw it on the video and was a bit shocked because it was such a widespread explosion.

Is anyone having tech problems with the feed?

Earlier on/yesterday it was fine. Now i've tried Firefox, VLC and WMP - all 3 show it fine for the best part of 5 seconds, then im continuously buffering and sometimes crashing the program. Anybody with a fix?

willie P, as my buddy calls it is pretty bad stuff. First I've heard of it. Seems a little inhumane

i'm looking for about 1 hour and i see that black smoke what happend they bombed the place something like f16 dropping bombs or ground forces shooting rockets?

If you've seen the Vietnam film We Were Soldiers, its WP that they have to cut out of the soldiers cheek in the platoon that's been cut off. That's a pretty accurate recreation of what it can be like to get into direct contact with the stuff.

Probably because there's a lot of people watching the feed.

yeh that was me.. in the vid it looks even crazier.. and really deadly.. just terrible..

wow - I dont know what just happend ... but about qtr of a mile from the camera all hell just blew up... smoke fills the viewable distance.. maybe a large bomb or a small nuke .... hell of a big boooooooom

Wow, that sucks. I hope they die quickly. And that don't mean I hope they die, people that want to flame me. I just hope they don't suffer. Thanks for the knowledge.

my feed is also buffering atm. i think it's a combination between me having a not so good connection for the time being and the amount of people watching it.. unfortunately... its annoing. but dont think you can fix it... or does that thing with VLC work?

It worked for some people, but not for me.

I don't see any reason why its different anyway, VLC is just another media player, like WMP is. It's all connection problems causing it!
