This might be a useful tool for the Israelis in order to locate rocket launches from within Gaza. It looks there was just a Rocket launch not far from the cameras location. I heard the explosion and then the camera panned over to catch just the tail end and see the smoke disperse.

I'm sure the Israeli military can use this to home in on the exact location.
Nothing like having a set of eyes & ears behind enemy lines!!

A large explosion just occurred, with the sound of a few more in the distance. A rocket went off as well--particularly odd, too, as it seemed to puff out into tiny white pieces (feather- or paper-like).

Yes seen that, I wonder what the note said from the IDF " Get Ready"? "We sorry but there's more bombs coming and no food"?
How to play with people's mind bomb them all day and night and then write notes to them telling them whats next.

Well i sat and watched this into the wee hours and i feel like crap today.
I feel tired, guilty and saddened/scared at what i sat and witnessed and heard last night.

Yeah man. I just woke up after sleeping awfully bad. I am a bit suprised to see this camera still online. Last night was surreal.

Yes the Gaza Live Cam is awesome. I figured out that this is not a conventional webcam

I believe that this is a professional camera via live leak (satellite).

The quality of the footage is awesome while zooming in...

And yes, there is no picture at times

i just saw some MASSIVE explosions and lots of smoke. hitting bouldings..

I just got up.... the "pause" in fighting was to occur between 4am and 7am EST this morning and by scrolling through the thread during those times, Im not so sure that everyone adhered to that I hope some supplies got to the people that needed them!

I didnt sleep too soundly after watching this last night.

Hi everyone.

This is truly saddening, but has opened my eyes to the awful thing called war. I am currently watching tank shoot rounds at the buildings. I'm just curious, what is the weapon that produces a burst of smoke over a target then fires multiple projectiles down to the ground. I am watching them now, and you can see the multiple tracers leading smoke trails into the city. Are these fired from tanks or aerial?

Those are the ever talked about cluster bombs. Aerial, I don't think its possible to fire from the ground. Unless you mean slow descent. And loads of white "smoke" then that is land based and its white phosphorous. Just as illegal as cluster bombs. Either way, they both are meant to kill mass amounts of people.

Sky Breaking News: AP:Israel drop leaflets over Gaza warning ressidents it plans to " Escalate " its offensive.

Thats what the leaflets said we saw. I thought it was bad now but if they say they are going to "Escalate" there offensive it must be about to get worse.

The camera footage is awesome, a real eye opener.
It shows that our western media is biased, last night on the news it said Gaza is still with out power, yet last night on this camera many street lights were clearly visible.
I hope Israel wipes Hamas of this planet.
