And I still wanna know, all these old geezers I've known who've lived into their 90's smoking non filtered cigarettes didn't die of lung cancer - how?

Because smoking actually doesnt cause much cancer at all. Its other things (possibly in combination) that actually cause it, but since the guy also happened to smoke, they attribute it smoking.

This is so they dont hurt big industries feelings by pointing out that literally EVERYTHING is absurdly toxic these days.

Really? Seeing as how driving and industrial transportation has become all but necessary, I find it easier to blame the smokers who pollute the surrounding air for purposes of self satisfaction.

Obviously, pissing is required. Pissing on the street is or on the carpet is not.

Your seriously ignoring all the things that ruin your point.
Maybe its because your point falls flat on its face in the light of just perfumes?

mmm, talking about other things that are "poisonous" such as perfumes etc. Lets add a bit about Aspartame. I show later in this posting one way I am linking aspartame with cigarettes. But mainly my point is the poisonous attributes of a product that is used extensively and the ways that it was approved along with the fact that the damages this product does which is being hidden from the public.

This sweetener is marketed under a number of trademark names, including Equal, NutraSweet, and Canderel, and is an ingredient of approximately 6,000 consumer foods and beverages sold worldwide.

NutraSweet found in diet soft drinks cause breast cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, and malignant tumors in animals.

They also discovered a sobering fact for expecting mothers: when exposed to aspartame from fetal life onwards, the risk that your child will eventually develop life-threatening cancer increases dramatically.

Aspartame accounts for 75% of all side effects reported to the FDAs Adverse Reaction Monitoring System (ARMS). These include nausea, vertigo, anxiety attacks, migraines, arthritis, asthma, insomnia, memory loss, convulsions, vomiting, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, lupus, ADD, multiple sclerosis etc. etc. etc.

Strong statistical evidence links the artificial sweetener, aspartame (Equal, NutraSweet) to breast cancer. The American Cancer Society figures show that breast cancer cases have doubled since 1981, the year aspartame was approved for use as a food additive.

I actually want to say that last part again. "breast cancer cases have doubled since 1981, the year aspartame was approved for use as a food additive."

My point being, that yes cigarettes cause cancer, but look at what has been labeled "safe" by the FDA. Safe being kills less than 300 people per year not including other side effects.

There are over 92 different health side effects associated with aspartame consumption.

We put untold amounts of chemicals into our body each and every day, many of these chemicals are labeled safe, but the truth is these chemicals are not studied with the idea behind it of protecting people, but how to get it approved for consumption ie: follow the money. Donald Rumsfeld just happens to have been a big player in getting aspartame approved.

In 1981, the newly appointed FDA Commissioner, Arthur Hull Hayes, ignored the negative ruling and approved aspartame for dry goods. As recorded in the Congressional Record of 1985, then CEO of Searle Laboratories Donald Rumsfeld said that he would "call in his markers" to get aspartame approved. Rumsfeld was on President Reagan's transition team and a day after taking office appointed Hayes. No FDA Commissioner in the previous sixteen years had allowed aspartame on the market

Many more people ingest these artificial sweeteners than those who smoke, people feed their children artificial sweeteners thinking they are doing something good for their kids without realizing they are slowly poisoning their children.

Cigarette smoking causes cancers, cardiovascular disease and respiratory disease. What I could not find was information on studies of smokers who used products such as the Black Hawk Native American cigarette that is natural without all the additives that are generally put in cigarettes. So before I personally blame cigarettes in and of themselves for the diseases caused by smoking, I want a study that proves that just basic "tobacco" is what causes all or the majority of these diseases and not the additives put in cigarettes.

I would bet that what would be found is that the rate of disease is far far lower in the population of smokers who use natural products compared to smokers who use products that are full of additives.

TheWayISeeIt posted a link showing over 4000 chemical compounds are created by burning a cigarette and 69 of those chemicals are known to cause cancer. (not to mention the addiction factor of many of these chemicals)

Also noteworthy is that the three ingredients that make up aspartame, coincidentally also happen to be added to cigarettes, Phenylalanine, Methyl Ester and Aspartic Acid. Yay, cigarettes taste so swwweeettt and yummy. (sarcasm).

Yes, I am a smoker and being addicted I will use any and all means to support my addiction.

I say "DOWN WITH ASPARTAME USERS" and if you have friends that use aspartame you need to get some new friends as those horrible nasty aspartame users are just holding you back.

People get just as mad if someone is walking around with too much perfume on.
