Call up ANY buisness in the southwest region of the country and listen very carefully to the automated message and take note of how many begin in english vs mexican slang.

Turn on the music channels and what do you see, more white music being played than others? Walk into many stores and retail shops along the southern states and take note of how many whites are working the check out counters or are the managers. Also check out the local government levels and county and even state government levels and see the ratio.

Well perhaps if the white folks felt they were getting a fair shake, there would be no discussion about it anywhere.

This is a sore subject for me.
I was only a few point away from being top of my class(way back when early90's)
There was a black man at the top of our scholastic class, he got the most pretigious scholarship and the unncf(united negro college fund) which us white folks were not evan eligable for.......
This has been bothering me for years and always will!!
Don't get me wrong, I was friends with him(great guy)
It just really stunk that not only did he get his members only scholarship, but took the only one we (whities) could get.....
Mayne Obama can see and fix some of this.........then again....why would he?

I forgot to add....there is ALREADY a 'White College'....it's the one founded by Jerry Falwell. OR, alternatively (I know, that's a big word, look it up) you could research various schools in Utah, those run by the LDS...

Funny, that....the LDS and the Christians don't really get along, much....even though they both have the same 'saviour'...curious, isn't it???

I dont see anyone blaming "you" for what people did 200 years ago. It seems like someone has a touched nerve there and perhaps is having some sort of guilt trip..or other?

Dont worry tho, a majority of us Native Americans have forgiven the mistakes of those people that practically wiped us off the Earth 200 years ago. We let go of the hate and the anger and the guilt trips long ago.

Why dont you do the same.

The problem is that even though we are all human, we give ourselves empty titles like black, white, chinese, mexican, american, british and so on.

All these empty titles do are create walls in our minds that seperate us all we feel that one group is better than the other and you get situations like racial genocides, religous conquests, segregation and all for what?

The last thing we should do is have a white history month, we should get rid of our black history month. We need to start realizing that we are all equal, if we can break down these invisible walls we would be a lot better off then we are now.

Think about it....horses did NOT evolve in North America....meaning, they were NOT indigenous to this continent. They were BROUGHT here, from Europe.

It's because, even thousands of years ago, someone somewhere KNEW what the Human condition, left unchecked, could produce.

To the OP: The reason we don't need a 'white history month' is BECAUSE it turns out, the Northern Europeans on the Planet happened to be "white" and had all of the power, financially and technologically, at a critical time in the history of Mankind on this Planet. Funny, isin't it, that the reason their skin was "white" is because they lived so far North that they could not get enough vitamin D from the sunlight, UNLESS their skin pigmentation changed to allow the meager Sun to get through....if only they could have had more fish to eat!!! (for the vitamin D)

1) there were no spanish involved in the massacres?

2) if "my people" wiped "your people" off the face of the earth, how are you typing on ATS ? wouldnt you be dead? or rather, never born?
