interesting how so many far removed from the situation think they know how to solve the problem while demonizing and restricting one side and
completely forgetting that the other side, with help from a world tribunal, forced these people from the land of their ancestors.
All I can see at this point is "what's done is done." Now how do we help them extricate themselves from the mess geo-political maneuvering by
outsiders has gotten them?
Both sides must stop. Hamas was fairly selected by the people through democratic elections. It should have been the tip off that they are mad as hell
and are not going to take it anymore. They must be given a voice at the table. They must be treated with the respect their people have given them.
But how can we when outsiders to the situation continue to act like this?
Today, as expected, Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice lay the blame on the attacks entirely at the feet of Hamas, saying they had been warned
(including Egypt) that the continuous launching of Qassam rockets into Sderot and other Israeli territories would eventually meet with
retaliation.

How do we really know who is doing what to whom?
Both sides are being played. Allow me to be one of the first to say one of the players is my government.
We like to exclaim with hubris that we are the most generous nation on earth.
If we're so generous, why is it that so many places within the USA aren't much better than a third world country?
we spend half a trillion dollars a year to defend against enemies that we wouldn't have if we didn't have "intelligence" agencies, and that isn't
even counting the fraudulent war on terror. they ought to call it the war OF terror because it's only created more. We forget that the CIA trained
Osama bin Laden. How can we expect the people within these organizations to be morally sound when their job description calls for the opposite?
We have to start trusting that all people have the same basic needs. Water, shelter, sustenance, purpose, peace of mind.
If we do not call on our government to act fairly, we will bring on prophetic, apocalyptic times. Then where will we be? We as one have the power to
change things. Write to your representatives in Washington and demand that we take a stand against the policies that have gotten us the state of
Israel.
It was a wrong move and it's time we admit the mistakes. Take stock, and work with what we have wrought thus far. Just stop this ridiculous war and
listen to the Palestinians who can tell us more about their situation than any Condoleeza Rice ever could.
The only ones who can work this out, if they do not want war, are those who are engaged in it. That would include all those whose existence depends on
a stable region. It is important to the entire planet that we evolve from this mind-set and work toward redemption.
