You are a rockstar for the work you've put in here, but I'd question your desire for those signals to be anything OTHER than wind.

Here is weather underground, its only started to get really windy since 29th Dec. The recent "activity" coincides with windy days.

www.wunderground.com... - December

www.wunderground.com... - January

Not trying to argue a possible mute point but only trying to understand better.

Though yes you can coincide that as a general staement however according to tht website www.wunderground if you compare Jan 7, 2009 with Jan 8, 2009 the wind speed is only 1 - 2 mph more today than yesterday. The when you look at the webicorder for yesterday compared to today for all 3 stations I mentioned, then we should see more "harmonic like" activity on yesterdays webicorders as well (since the wind speed was very close to the same).

Jan 7, 2009:
Wind Speed: 14 mph
Max Wind Speed: 15 mph

Jan 8, 2009:
Wind Speed: 15 mph
Max Wind Speed: 16 mph

Lake Yellowstone webicorder:
Jan 7, 2009 -
Jan 8, 2009 -

Little West Thumb webicorder:
Jan 7, 2009 -
Jan 8, 2009 -

Mary Lake webicorder:
Jan 7, 2009 -
Jan 8, 2009 -

I would just expect to see more webicorder activity for Jan 7 at all 3 stations. But Mary Lake's station today shows more activity than the other 2 mentioned and shows fairly steady, while the other 2 drop off. Granted Mary Lake is not as active as Lake Yellowstone was on Jan 2, 2009.

Jan 2, 2009:
Wind: Speed: 13 mph
Max wind Speed: 17 mph
Lake Yellowstone webicorder on Jan 2, 2009 -

I do not have the skill yet to compute correlation procedure and vectors and station distances as RFBurns suggested. I wish I did and I know I will learn how eventually through my geology major career!

Just trying to understand better as I am at a remote location and I cannot just walk outside the stations a take wind readings at each station.

I'm worried about what u mean by the term HARMONIC ... an event that occurs on 2 adjacent webrecorders is a real event ... Use the Firefox correlator method with Tabs that I outlined earlier (its a VISUAL[EYES & BRAIN method only] blink comparator) ...its easy... if seismic train correlates it is a real seismic event ... any seismic train that doesn't correlate is local to that station ,and is probably wind noise , or maybe something cultural/local to that station... Yellowstone really did have a real seismic swam around New Years ... if in doubt try the Firefox method in that time frame ... don't get too freaked about the idea of wind noise ....

Windy days really mean that we have a poorer S/N (Signal/Noise) ratio and its harder to see/determine the weak quakes

Given the wind out here in Wyoming can gust up to 50+mph, banging up against trees and other structures like towers, telephone poles, sensor towers and buildings, its reasonable to conclude that these siesmic sensors would pick up some of this noise and record it.

But I am sure that the experts who are examining these readings know the noise readings vs an actual geologic vibration reading.

Cheers!!!!

The USGS has officially said the evac was BS and legal action will be taken on the fear monger "geology fan".

No Yellowstone Evacuation Warning Issued
Released: 1/8/2009 11:39:14 AM

The USGS is not affiliated with a web site that recommends evacuation of Yellowstone National Park and bears the USGS logo. The USGS is not recommending the evacuation of the Park.

Officials at the USGS are working through the appropriate legal channels to have both the warning and logo removed from the web site.

Great news!
All we see now is we now have a new way of discerning whether it's windy at a particular location.
Lots of money being spent on a wind monitor...lol
With all that intererence, no need to study them any longer, as no clear way to discern background from the real deal...
Oh well...if she blows she blows...
Blessings

I would not want to be in the fake USGS shoes right now.

I can just imagine what the REAL USGS Volcano Gods will do with their new prey!

Well that's just the thing of it. Why did he have to use the USGS logo? That was just as bad as impersonating a Police officer particularily when dealing with something so serious and potentially life threatening.

Ha ha ha! Oh man, you can't say you didn't see that one coming. Chris Sanders stating his opinion was one thing - using their logo entirely another thing. He created all sorts of panic with that, and with no right to do so.

On a different note (or the same?) not that I really believe in the bible codes hard-core (though I do find them interesting - kind of like Nostradamus) here's one for what appears to predict a Yellowstone eruption in 2010?

Too bad i'm only fluent in English. ;p

I was going to mention about this yesterday but held back because of legal issues, but my inside informant at Yellowstone and at the FBI offices in Denver told me the very same thing. Sanders caused a major problem for the FEMA and USGS services with his little "look at me" video.

I dont think he will be available for answering questions in ATS Mix.

Cheers!!!!

By the way, just after I uploaded my new video (which took a hour to render) I discovered that the UUSS is still adding Yellowstone lake earthquakes to the archive from December 27 to January 8. They went from 551 EQs I displayed in my video to 618! And I think they're not over yet!

What if - this is the catalyst for the end times predicted? What if this causes the war predicted also in bible code by the invasion of the U.S. This would take away the protection for Israel thereby allowing the invasion of said state also. This would fit the time line and indeed fit numerous prophecies and "works". The calendar we use could be off by a year or so, give or take, scholars have admitted. As panicky as the world is I dont think much could set it all off at this point. Just speculating.

HOWEVER, we need to be aware of our intuition and consider it as credible as scientific possibilties are. If not here, WHERE? We'd get laughed off the stage!

Scientists have admitted they know diddly about predicting these things. It's all learning after the fact and downright speculation before hand. It is not predicting. Big difference. Maybe intuition is all we really got to save our butts in the end. Related or not?

Is everything really interconnected somehow, as they say?

Sure seems so, from reading this thread! At least quakes are anyway.
So logic tells me...

BTW, the critters are quick to mind and the birds are kinda jumpy today.

"Be prepared, keep your head, you will survive"

That just come to me all of a sudden,
after further review and some more editing!
