Channel 4 to show Ahmadinejad message

Well that goes to show you that the west is free and open compared to other parts of the world.

I wonder is Iran would allow the opposite to happen?

Im glad its on got to be better than watching the queen babble on about hardship what would see know about that . Iran is not like most people think its not Iraq its quiet moden I have no problems with this they have not attacked anybody its all Israel propaganda like wiped off the map it was not seid.

I Think this is a Great Idea
im normaly against this channel and what they broadcast aka big brother which is loads of bollox.

but in this case bravo. will be watching this

anyone that doesnt like it they have Channel 1,2,3,5 to watch and if like me they have Sky then they also have Hundreds more then can watch insted.

no ones going to force these people that dont want to watch it to watch it by locking their TV set to channel 4.

I will be watching it. I'm glad it is being broadcast. I hope it isn't pulled and replaced by something else. Afterwards, by the public's response, we will know just how hypocritical and closed British society is now.

I recommend others watch it if only as a protest vote and demonstration against current political ideology both in the U.K and around the world. Perhaps watching it will make our "leaders" know that we are turned off to them; and maybe it will show the Israelis that most of the world's populace doesn't care about Judaism, nor about Israel's self-perceived "victim" status (something for which they refuse to accept part responsibility). Please, Israel and her neighbors, either stop fighting or finish it completely; stop attention seeking and let the rest of the world breath easily.

Well done C4, I remember when this channel started and how it was then, nice to see they still have some ba11s.

Always nice to hear the other side of the story as such, and what does it matter anyway, we will all be singing Auld Lang Syne in a few days so all will be forgiven and forgotten.........................then a new war can begin.

This has nothing to do with secularism or republicanism in the UK, Channel Four is simply chasing ratings (yet again.) The Indian actress was racial abused on Celebrity Big Brother - which the station refused to pull even though the government was disgusted by the content.

About time Channel Four was stripped of public money.

How does C4 get public money, don't you mean the BBC and the licence fee we have to pay, C4 surely gets its revenue through adverts etc.

I am no Fan of channel 4 as mentioned before
but they are doing a great Job in broadcasting this,

weapons supplied (supposedly) by Iran
and then we get the Report Iran stops all weapons (which it supposedly) arms the shias with.

also can you tell me how much money they get compared to the bbc which broadcasts utter bollox most of the time.

No ones forcing you to watch it, dont see why most people have a problem with this when they dont have to even watch the speach them selves.

I mean at the end of the day Ahmadinejad didn't kill thousands of innocent US civillians, he armed millitants to fight a fully equipped army.

And this man talks about God? What true god talks about killing? Only a corrupted religions' God talks of killing another being. Most religions are corrupt as far as I can see. His religion is no different.

I agree the main religions are corrupt but I don't see how a true God doesn't kill whenever he friggin' feels like it cause HE'S GOD and his motives would probably be much higher. I mean, it's not like that's it after this earth right?

So, it's okay to allow a President who persecutes Christians to address a nation during a Christian holiday? And, Iran held a international conference to discuss (in his opinion) the holocaust lie. Oh, do not forget the vast amount of homosexual's who are executed in Iran too.

Last year, Channel Four had a young Muslim girl address the nation - that was beautiful and meaningful. It represented Britain's multi culture/faith society. I'm sure all British Muslim felt touch by that event.

This, however, represents nothing.

Seeing the British government has sanctions against this man, he shouldn't be allowed to participate in this factitious event. It is likely Channel Four will be punished on these grounds.

bodrul, if Channel Four allowed a Hindu extremist on air to discuss world peace - I'd still be up in arms. I'd protest in strong condemnation if members of the settlement movement became the vox populis at Christmas.
The fact Ahmadinejad is talking about Christ and his virtues, which Iran has violated and deprecated, is an insult to any follower of the Abrahmic religions.

I support Channel 4's right to broacast what it wishes.
It is wrong to be selective about what TV stations are free to broadcast.
Censorship of any kind is wrong.
Maybe next we'll get an even and balanced representation of Nick Griffen and BNP?
Somehow I very much doubt that as C4 is very much a PC channel.

I also think that every opportunity to show this man as the fanatical religious bigot that he is can not be a bad thing.

in my view opening up to someone elses prospectives isnt a bad thing.

Looks like I've missed the speech. Anybody know if this speech will be repeated? did anybody record it? I would love to check it out.

Personally, I don't have a problem with channel 4 broadcasting this speech. I like to get an alternative view. Interesting stuff.
