Just keep in mind, Global Nuclear Winter is possible if enough
of these get set off.

Also keep in mind Alpha and Beta particles will be in the food chain
for about 30 years.

Thanks for the info. It just comes a point where we must quit letting people scare us with what might happen. Living in fear or being bombarded on a daily basis of some impending doom is not a way of life. If these people or anybody is serious about their threats, then just do it and we will deal with the aftermath if there is anything left to deal with.

Good old ATS gloom and doom.

I didn't think of this till now, but the Mumbai attacks took place on the Thanksgiving holiday in the US.

How bizarre would it be that India struck back during the Christmas holiday?

Kind of reminds me of the whole 2003 Iraq invasion on the Spring Equinox and major combat operations ending on May Day.

Is there some kind of weird "Holiday Conspiracy"?

If India attacks Pakistan on Christmas I would really start to wonder.

India and Pakistan have been down this path many times before. Patience wears thin.

Note these camps are nothing more than a couple of shacks and a bunch of moving nomads. They can be moved with ease. Destroying them will not serve any long term purpose. The real targets sit in the offices of high power in various Pak military establishments. The ones that sign orders to tacitly approve the funding and training of these terrorists.

The proof has been given.. Ironically by Pakistani local television networks..The terrorists are Pakistani nationals and the lone surviving member of that group have listed specific locations of camps and so on so forth.

Peripheral financial bans and house arrests of known terror masterminds is not enough; we all know that. These are cosmetic and temporary measures.

Demands have been made. India is waiting for a response. Still waiting.. tap .. tap.. tap..

Remember 200 people lost their lives for no rhyme or reason.
War is never necessary; neither is state sponsored terrorism.
Pakistan has created a monster over the last 2 decades and now it needs to be put down. Whether Pakistan is willing to accept that and make real ideological changes amongst its power corridors is irrelevant now. Someone is going to do it if they don't do it.

None of us really know anything, we just believe we do.

I didn't think I was being that negative.

I don't think I have ranted and raved about the end of the world on ATS. In fact I'm someone who really can't stand all the 2012 crap.

Do I want the end of the world? No. Humans really upset me at times, but they have their good qualities too. I sometimes wonder if a culling might be a good idea, but I'm in no position to really make an objective judgment on that matter.

i dont think its going to go nuclear

but lets for a moment assume it did, at WORST you might see 4-10 nukes go off

thats by no means the end of the world, or even a nuclear winter

its bad yes, extremely bad

but half a dozen small to mid sized nukes isnt the end of human species or modern life for that matter

there will be a nasty spot over there tho, and i dont wanna see the TV video of that if it happens

i WONT WATCH that kinda war

its just downright wrong to even watch it

but i really do have to say, i have serious doubts it would escalate to any intensity of that nature

IMO it will be a low intensity conflict, similar to afganistan

and conventional in nature, not nuclear

we dont have a overpopulation problem at the basis, its a technology problem

with much better tech, we could house 100s of billions of people with an ecological footprint smaller than the 6billion people of today
*generate less trash,pollution, waste less etc

"overpopulation" is a symptom , not the cause

the cause is lack of proper technology

I am not sure I can imagine what kind of tech we would need to host 100 billions on Earth . I believe that the best tech would allow us a maximum of 20 billions , but we talk about star-trek technology..
