While I can agree about the bible, I must strongly disagree with your comments on history...

I'm a history major (public history). If you're getting your history from one book... than yes, you're delusional...

However, If you use opposing views in history, and follow the archeological evidence... I'm sure you'll come up with the correct answers.

But the OP provided the evidence for Evolution... All evolution needs to get itself rolling is life, and competition for survival...

Abiogenesis is the scientific study of how that life came to be... but that, is another thread...www.abovetopsecret.com...'

It was created by an intelligent entity (us) but was done so with pre-existing genetic templates via-a-vis the spider and goat DNA.

Are we humans now de facto creationists now that we are creating new species? Evolution did not make spider-goat, but God didn't either.

What about 'Round-up Ready' cotton? - it is part cockroach, it certainly didn't evolve, but there is a viable breeding population, and fertility can also be switched on or off in the laboratory. (ie. terminator genes)

There are cows running around that have Human blood in their veins, which we can use for transfusions - since 1984.

What if in the future these cows evolve into something as smart as us; will they be on internet forums debating whether their common ancestor is Cow or Primate, because it couldn't be both, could it? Of course there will always be 'cowpeople' on their forums that saying they are god's creation, but once their genetic technology increase to our current levels, they will learn the truth.

Basically, I don't think that there is any reason to include God in creationism theories anymore - especially now that we humans are currently making several new species every day.

*Remember folks, Before Gravity - God did it, he made things fall.

Before genetic technology advanced to current levels, some could even say the same about ourselves ' God did it, he made us'... But since we know he is no longer necessary, we can omit him from the equation. We aren't even sure he exists and there is no proof (that's why it's called 'faith'), but we are damn sure we can make New species in the Lab without his help and out of what has already evolved here on Earth; SpiderGoat....

If one excepts that Humans are not the Only intelligent species and omits all Deities from the equation, this theory becomes more likely.

Intelligent Manipulation (by aliens, not necessarily even on the earth) or a Natural Panspermia Scenario, or a combination of the two: where an intelligent species lacking the capabilities for interstellar flight launches genetically modified or 'hardy' microbes into deep space in the hope that they would succeed in spreading life. In turn this alien species itself may have originated in this manner and upon discovering this fact, they took it upon themselves to do likewise. I believe one day some Humans will do something like this.

Of course in order for such a thing to be happening in perpetuity, life would have had to originally evolve in the Darwinian manner somewhere/sometime - or the universe is indeed infinite and we are wrong in our continually changing assessments. I don't believe this is the case.

I believe that the natural occurrence of life is so Rare in this Universe, that Any abundance of it anywhere must be attributed to some sort of Intelligent Panspermia helping along. One might say It is our purpose to contaminate the universe - and the purpose of all intelligent space faring species with life.

Our Origins may very well be connected to the very first life to originate in this Universe. There is so much we will never know, it's great.

The notion of there being only ONE single, immortal-eternal Creator of EVERYTHING (or all living beings and all raw materials) in the (infinite, incomprehensibly vast) universe - who by the way just so happens to look like a HUMAN - has to be basically the most stark raving mad, blithering funny farm notion ever. However, the belief that everything in the universe is only random, accidental, purposeless mutations or whatever is equally ignorantly dogmatic. The truth HAS to be somewhere in between. It's why the indescribably worn out old argument is unwinnable by either side of EXTREMES.

I would wager that life the universe, intelligent or not, aside from some kind of initial Big Bang, is a collective-pluralistic product of probably countless intelligent species. In short, evolution is undeniably real, but there certainly (to me) has been some intelligent creating and tweeking/adjusting going on by certain BEINGS; not just ONE SINGLE flipping Supreme Being!

there no room in religion for science, logic and rational thought, just as there is no place in considered, intelligent, logical, scientific and rational thought for religion - they are simply incompatible.

The upshot is that you must EITHER be religious OR intelligent. They are diametric opposites - there is no place in scientific debate, or intelligent society for religion , just as religion has been the nemesis of science and logic for thousands of years.

It is one or the other, attempting to "reason", or provide logic or thought as to why religion is sound is by default moronic, as it is unreasonable and illogical at its very core......

Look...point of the matter is: Abiogenesis and Evolution explain how lifeforms develop over a time-line.

They do not explain the origins of life, much less the origins of intelligence and consciousness.

Neither does Religion or Creationism for that matter.

To give the appearance of being able or in an authoritive position to provide such answers, such as both "Creationists" and "Evolution Theorists" tend to like to do it is either criminally deceptive or plain delusional.
