I am personally having a hard time making out anything on this stream. I think watching it over several days and getting a feel for what lights are normally there and aren't will prove useful.

Internos, I'm confused.

Are you saying the lights on the webcam are not man made?

Nope.
I am saying that hessdalen phenomenon is REAL. I didn't know about the existence of that webcam. The lights of the webcam are grounded, this is obvious. But if you want to look at the lights, then go here:
www.hessdalen.org...
watch some video and let me know if for you they are all grounded lights .

Norway is subject to the phenomenon of the Aurora Borialis. Could there be a connection between the breach in the magnetosphere allowing more galactic cosmic waves and solar winds, to impact upon the ionosphere causing unprecedented or highly unusual atmospheric electrical activity?

Heres a link with some great colour photos showing amazing light formations.

I wasn't dismissing the Hessdalen phenomena itself, I was aiming my reply at what the OP presented.

Namely this:

I was pointing out that these lights mentioned aren't strange at all.

As for the phenomena itself, I don't know enough about it yet to comment.

Is anyone looking at this thing RIGHT NOW?

The lights (or at least one of them in particular) is NOT a ground based light.
Damn, if I weren't so tired, 12:30, I would take the time to screen-shot and post.

Good find, OP!
Star and Flag.
I'd flag again, if I could.

THIS shot? Notice the time stamps...is it moving?? It does not appear to be moving...but stationary ?

I started loooking this camera yesterday.

Here is some geological data of that area (South-east-Norway)

www.cosis.net...

Is there some ground activity that could make fireballs, lights etc.. ?

You can use Hypercam2 and take videos from screen easily!

It's not the moon is it?

I'll check Stellarium

Edit: Yeah the moon is in the right spot in the sky

I'll keep an eye on it though

If it is the moon it will move from left to right of screen with the sun coming up not far behind it.

I'm sure you are correct. The moon, it is.

Damn, I'm tired. I couldn't even see that.

Alright, I'm off to bed. Still a good thread though. I'll keep an eye on it.

Hey this is interesting. I'm looking at it right now and there is a huge light in the sky. But it looks like the sun is going down to the left....is this the sun or one of the lights?

It's getting smaller awfully quickly for the moon...I'm still watching it.

It's almost gone. It's just a small dot in the distance now.

It's just losing brightness as the sun brightens the sky.

This was rather interesting. I went and made a cuppa and when I came back this little anomaly was evident in the stream. I took a couple of screen grabs and checked myATS. When I came back a few minutes later it was gone.

Note: It was stationary for the time it was there.

What is it? Crap on the lens, a cloud, a bird, a helicopter? You decide!
