Since you have habbit of correcting peoples spelling eventhough my native tongue isn't english (i think i'm doing a pretty damn good job) i wouldn't dare to start an argument with you

When did I correct your spelling? You have very good english as a native language. I only know one languange and I'm not very great at that
.

but somebody more able with words in your language put it like this:

Yes, I read his post, but I didn't post on this thread to discuss any individual or to be a show off.
I simply made a point that it's very immature and disrespectful to do what your planning to do.
If you don't agree with that then argue the points for Christ's sake and not me.
I'm unimportant.
What is important is the point that I made...

You are correct and we're gonna stop this pointless and childish behaviour but to argue the point at hand:

Hu Jia -> 3,5 years prison for speaking his mind read more...
Oh well it's a long list so i'm not gonna list 'm all here's a link Chinese disidents

Point i'm trying to make is....these are people who simply didn't agree with their goverment and spoke out against it. Now the are in jail or dead!! In Amerika you have the liberty to speak out against things you don't agree with....use that right!!!
Silly and childish as you may think it is. It is still on of the most precious freedoms you have. (and to be honest i don't know if you still have this right if you people are fearing that the gov. will obtain you DNA this way)?
This a form of peacefull protest about something some people don't agree with. Please don't say it's childish....it's a g*ddamn right you should be very proud of for having. Half the world population isn't that lucky!!!

Now let's kiss and make up. I respect your point of view but please do look upon this a little closer than just a childish act......

Peace

I use the "" just to reference what you said, not to correct your spelling.
Yes you're right that freedom of speech is a great thing and something we should be proud of.
I don't think that it's childish, but sending your shoe to your government is a bit childish...
My point was that you can execute that freedom of speech in respectful ways which will actually change peoples mind.
If you simply send a shoe to the White House, it's just going to add to the hate, it's not going to change anyone's mind because there's no logic or reason behind it. The only people who are going to agree with it are people who already agree with you...
If instead you write why you feel this way about the government, and send that out to people, at least you will have accomplished something.

Do what you want, I just think that the whole thing is ridiculous.

More appropriate would be that shoes sent be laden with dog dung, as
the Iraqui shoe thrower properly called Bush a dog.

THAT IS GREAT! Anybody got an idea how to organize it? I am serious. Bush doesn't think it's serious because he's not from that culture, but it IS serious and we all DO hate him, not just in Iraq. It would show solidarity with them and with each other. Ideas anyone?????

Bush would have had the man beaten up himself, if he'd come from that place. (Who knows, maybe he did order the man beaten anyway.) But when you do evil you don't have to order it all -- there are people who will do things of their own accord to kiss ass or to get their own jollies of power. Anyway, I digress about who beat the man (how horrible that was done to him!).

We need a campaign of "patriot shoes".

Gee, I didn't know you had Bush and his family in here raising heck 'cause a bunch of true-blue blooded loyal patriot Americans dare to practice Democracy! Use it or lose it. But that's what they (Bush and cohorts) say about Democracy. What they are saying about you in here. Same thing. Funny or stupid it is Freedom of Speech or die. I'm proud of all you brave American people and see that the cowards are quickly becoming a minority in this country and that tickles me to death. As for Bush, I'll be posting a pix of my shoes on every blog I have and I still almost split a gut every time I watch the vid. And I DO keep watching it. There was a time not long ago when I thought I was going to throw up every time I saw his pix, but I don't think I'll EVER get tired of watching this vid! I think we should bring the journalist here and make a hero of him. He was practicing his freedom of speech and he shows how fast he has been learning democracy. Unfortunately, doesn't look like it's taken hold there like we were told. FREE Muntazer al-Zaidi! And send some shoes to Bush today!
