If what christian faith says is true! Be all forgiving.

Should, if i,m unfortunate to meet satan, and look at him and say 'I forgive you'. Would he feel weak to my desire of forgiveness and love. All I remember being taught is hatred for satan. If he exists and maybe if we all gain undying love we could turn him to a nice guy.

If I said that I 'love him' and he has been very bad. Sounds like kids talk but what if I actually met him and genuinly felt sorry for his ways.

We all have good and bad and all that. Just a thought but your comments would be appreciated.

Albert

I on the subject. I think God still loves his son Satan. But his hates with all his will his actions. And God even loving his child will condemn his son Satan. And I believe the bible says that its not God's will that some go to hell. but its there actions that put them there.

And should you love the devil hell no. Satan will destroy you kill, rap you, kill your family. And take your soul. The devil doesn't not love you or care about you personally. So don't get your mind twisted.

God bless

Applying God's direction regarding how we should treat our fellow man to Satin is a misrepresentation of of the word. We are to rebuke evil and wickedness...let God deal with Satan and lets use God and his word to escape the influence of the evil one.

And take my soul?

The devil doesn't not love you or care about you personally.

Then why has he taught me so much?

Look man you cant claim there is no God, nor there is not Satan. Or heaven or hell. Then claim Satan teaches you. Its either one or the other. Sounds to me you just want to argue.

To answer your question.......NO, do not even TALK to Satan. Stay away from him. Yes, he is real and he the enemy.

1 Peter: Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. RESIST him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers are undergoing the same kind of suffering.

He is a liar and can't be trusted. That is why you MUST stay in the word and in the Spirit with the Father so the Holy Spirit can help you.

Peace.

I enjoy foreign philosophies (you would probably call them religions) that, from what I hear from Christian members of my family, are misinformed and misled ultimately by demons/Satan.

But I like them a lot, and I learn a lot from them. What are your opinions of, say, Buddhism, or Hinduism, things like that?

Why would you wanna love something or someone who wouldn't ever love you back?

I would put my beliefs on them because I have done a little study on them. But this is not the place to talk them in this thread.

Hello scarecrow and thanks for your post. I know what you mean in your message, but what if we could have undying love, and could not feel hate for anyone? To get to this level must be amazing and yes, the devil may do dastardly things to our physical body or more so, our minds if we are not strong enough to resist. I think the soul is something he cannot take easily. I understand we would have lost all common sense and basic survival instincts to be like this.

Not being loved back you say, and this is an interesting point. BUT you can love many things which are incapable of showing love back but we as humans still show this love. IE: un tamed animals, heck some people love places of beauty and many many more things. I know this is hardly the devil but I hope you get my point.

I have one particular friend that I have never met but only through the net and I can feel a special thing from her and vice versa, its a respectful love after conversing vie mail.

So in answer to what you said, I think there are many reasons if you can look hard enough, to love somebody even if you dont get loved back.

To slymattb, you said.....

"And should you love the devil hell no. Satan will destroy you kill, rap you, kill your family. And take your soul. The devil doesn't not love you or care about you personally. So don't get your mind twisted. "

My reply to you is this.......... Yes your right he is evil and you gave a good answer to my question thanks. Does a leopard ever change its spots? If what the bible says is true, we should think yes. Now dont get me wrong I dont feel soory or any love for satan so please dont think I,m trying to big him up and make us feel sorry for him. This is purely a hypothetical question.

Thanks for your input slymattb and scarecrow

Sorry its been a while to post back,

Al

I'm gonna stick my little pagan nose in here and say that the best way to deal with any kind of dark energy, or evil, if you want to call it that, is to send it love. This doesn't mean that we have to engage emotionally with the entity called Satan, if you believe he exists, or be in love with him, but to send him love, which is alway many billions of times more powerful than any of the stuff he might claim to work with and control.

On a personal level, I don't give him credit for anything much...we are perfectly capable as humans of creating our own hell. To me, the storybook character of Satan is a confection of an overactive and controlling mind, probably of someone claiming to be a follower of Christ. If we are talking about Lucifer Morningstar, who was originally God's favourite angel until his fall, then yes, he does need our love to repair the damage. We all have a little bit of divine love...spark...energy...within us, and it's potential to heal and cure is immense.

I have experience of working with people who have cleared and released demonic energy by expressing this same emotion to it. It's a much more powerful force than we give it recognition for sometimes. Perhaps the alleged entity called Satan is so ingrained in our collective psyches that it would need a mass expression of love to clear his energy.

I dunno....dog-tired pagan ramblings in the middle of the night....*grin!*

Sleep well....

Hello and thanks for your reply.

I suppose what i,m saying is that if we all displayed a bit more 'care' things would be so different. Care is a big word I think.

I work in an airport. I interact with thousands of people each week and never have a problem with anyone. Some of my work mates do have bad attitudes and encounter problems with passengers daily.

The difference is I smile and treat people with the respect they deserve and as such make their experience travelling through an airport a little nicer. What do I get back? Respect, thanks, smiles and a nice day!

Its nice to be nice.

If more could just take a deep breath and think before they react, well it might be a good start. It seems to work for me.
